A Wonderful Story. Beautifully written with many lovely surprises-hard to do and well done.

Interesting first book in the series. Interesting story line for the first book in the series. The plot at times seems to drag on but trying to define the characters does take some time It will be interesting to see how the story develops and what happens to the characters

Compassion is an art form. I did not know what to expect. I read part of Dave’s other series and didn’t know if this series would be similar. In a way, sort of. Dave is great a bringing together an unlikely rag-tag group of characters trying give them each enough time to understand and empathize with them. In this story, I felt like we didn’t get as much about the female characters. I really liked the emergence of Dray, who in a way is coming into his own ascension in finding confidence in himself and his innate artistic ability and finding a way to connect even with the most difficult if characters. I hope to read on and find out more about this crew and adventure with them again.
