A wonderful, fun book. To Sir, with Love is a wonderful book, I really loved it, and will read it again soon. I’ve you’re a fan of the movie, You’ve Got Mail, then you’ll enjoy this book too. Gracie Cooper runs the family Champagne store in Manhattan, a legacy left to her and her siblings after her father passed away a few years back. Her brother and sister are not interested in the store, so all the management and day to day of running the store is up to Gracie. Gracie has a secret, faceless, nameless “friend” that she met on a dating app named Sir. The app allows matches people up without using names or photos, so potential mates can get to know each other through words and conversations before they see each other in real life. Sir, is the one person who seems to understand Gracie, and she finds herself looking forward to their messages, instead of concentrating on her real life. Sebastian Anderson needs Gracie to break her lease so he can use her store to build another office building, but she’s not going to budge on leaving her family’s legacy to some corporate takeover. This is such a fun, romantic book, similar to the movie, You’ve Got Mail, but updated and modern. I naturally had a young Meg Ryan in my head as Gracie, and a young Tom hanks as Sebastian! It is such a sweet, lovable story, and I couldn’t put this book down. I just loved it. I liked the little shout-out to the old 1940 movie, Shop Around the Corner, with Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullavan, which is the precursor to You’ve Got Mail, and a movie I watch almost every holiday season. Falling in love with someone, through words and faceless communications is so romantic, either through letters, email, or a dating app, being able to fall for someone’s thoughts and ideas before you even see what they look like is the ultimate in romance, in my opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more from this author. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

Captivating and witty love story!. I loved that as soon as I picked up this book I wasn’t able to put it down! I love when a story just captivates you and this one did just that!

Perfect 2021 version of You’ve Got Mail!. Obsessed is a mild word regarding how I felt about this book. This 2021 take on You’ve Got Mail is lighthearted, fun, and so sweet. One of the cutest books I’ve read in a long time. If you’re looking for something low on spice but heavy on heart squeezing-ly romantic, this is the book for you! Loved, loved, loved!

Such a cute storyline!. Such a cute storyline! Gracie decides to give online dating a shot and downloads an app, and actually meets someone that she has a connection with! The bummer is that the guy isn’t really on there for a relationship but was put on there by his friends but decides to continue to message Gracie and the forage a friendship of sorts. In real life, Gracie meets Sebastian and cannot stand him, especially since he is trying to get Gracie to sell her family business to him. As they continue to have moments together, both of them realize that they are attracted to each other, but with Sebastian in a complicated relationship and Gracie feeling that she’s in a relationship of sorts with the mystery man on the dating app, things don’t progress – until Sebastian realizes it’s him that Gracie has been speaking to! This was such a cute storyline, although we already knew that Sebastian was the guy Gracie was messaging the whole time, so at points it did get somewhat annoying because it was so clear that they were one in the same, but overall, I loved the style of writing and the storyline from Lauren! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Fun. Romantic.. Who doesn’t need a tear of joy and a smile these days?

Absolutely Adorable!. OMG! I loved this book so much! It was so good and everything I love about Contemporary Romance. The tension between the main characters was off the charts and had me swooning from the chemistry between them and the meet-cutes that brought all the feels to the emotion-filled happy ending. This book was over way to soon for me, I wanted more, more, more. Lauren Layne has delivered the perfect romance that we are all in need of. Her words are freshly addicting. The storyline was original and so charming. The characters were amazing…Not only the main couple, but also the secondary characters and I just couldn’t get enough. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself staying up late to get a little more of this charming story. Get it now!

Loved it. Couldn’t put it down.. I will admit the author had me at the title. I expected romance. I wanted romance. I got romance, lots and lots of romance. It was not all roses and chocolates. In a world where actions speak louder than words; To Sir, with Love was a concert hall full of beautiful acoustics. When I started this book, I did something I can't remember doing since I was a teenager. Trust me that was a long, long time ago. I started To Sir, with Love as my bedtime read. I thought the willpower to just read a few chapters was strong. I was wrong. So very wrong. Just like a silly teen experiencing her first romance novel, I scooted down in the bed. I covered my head and book with my blankets isolating me from the rest the world and read. I read and read. I got lost in the words and read some more. I read until the words were finished. Then I had the best sleep I have had in a very long time. I am still in a state of bliss. I really like this feeling. I confess I have only read one other book by Lauren Layne. That is going to change. I want the nirvana to stay. The author has a super fan in me. The epilogue was unique. The epilogue was PERFECTION. The epilogue was glorious. Gracie and Sebastian have the best kind of love. Please grab To Sir, with Love and escape the world around you.

4 Stars!!. 4 Stars! This was a super cute book! I really enjoyed reading it and loved the HEA ending! Gracie & Sebastian are very lovable characters. The book is an enemies to lovers story. It can also be read as a standalone. Definitely recommended, especially if you’re a sucker for a fairytale-esk romance books! Sugary Sweet. Sugary sweet, heartwarming, and well written. This PG page turner is adorable and brings in family dynamics and communication challenges in the best way.

Sure thing. This was as witty, romantic and funny as I expected. It is always great to have a reliable escape. The one thing I disliked about this novel is alas, it had to end.

Couldn’t get past the first chapter. I read the sample twice to make sure I wasn’t just being judgmental based on my annoyance of the main character, Gracie. But seriously, in what world would this not be considered cheating??? More importantly, the writing is meh. Pass.
