Girl Alone. It is hard to say how this story effected me. I could see each event as if I was really there. I held my breath so many times. This is extremely well researched and written. Thank you for a story that I just could not put down.

Girl Alone. Blake Pierce has done again and again. I was intrigued, then unnerved, afraid and terrified! And filled with concern and love as the little things in life help to wash the fear out of the way with tears of compassion. Thanks again, Sir. Edie Martin

I couldn’t put this book down. Very crazy

Great book. loved this murder mystery!!

A page turner from start to finish!. The characters are developed to the point you care about them but their individual stories don’t distract from the plot. A great casual read.

Overall A Decent Book. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, for the most part. It got really interesting pretty quickly from the beginning so I wanted to keep reading it. However, there were some parts within the book that were pretty predictable. Aside from that, my only complaint is that there were a few grammar errors that I caught as I was reading and it would take my attention away from the story.

Quite interesting. This was quite entertaining, creative and interesting story line, I did notice a few blips where I had to decide what the author was saying; maybe typos? I did not want to put it down to eat or go to the bathroom; my manners made me do the right thing but I was hurriedly right back in the book. Looking forward to more from this author.

Good book!. I enjoyed this book! Didn’t want to put it down. Glad to see there are more in the series!

7.5/10. Quick read, some spelling errors, didn’t disappoint!

Captivating. I normally don't read often. But for the past few months, I have been reading this book off and on. I will say this book was amazing. Always had me at the edge of my seat. Honestly, after finishing the book I'm considering purchasing part two. For anyone unsure if they should give this book a try. Please do.

10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND. Page turning! I couldn’t stop reading it. Had me glued to every page. I can’t want to continue the series.

Worth more than $4!. Intriguing from start to finish. I love the perspective changes.

Good read. The ending was a bit anticlimactic, but overall it was a good read, kept me glued to it and had some great twists.

Great Book. I (as a thirteen y/o) absolutely loved this book. I loved the suspense, the way it made me cringe with horror after imagining the crime scenes, the way the characters were written. It’s a great book that is hard to put down.

Outstanding. This is one of those incredibly good stories i have read in a long time. Could use some better proof reading though

Good story. I enjoyed the story of the book. I feel like I caught quite a few typos while reading and I probably will not finish the series.

Good read. I enjoyed reading this book. It got a big boring at times but then would pick back up. Not the best thriller I’ve read but it wasn’t bad.

Good/Interesting Read for Those Who Don’t Like Reading. I absolutely hate reading, but this book was interesting enough to keep me engaged and actually read the whole thing. Finished in 1 day and already bought the sequel (Book 2)

Suspenseful Thriller. I couldn’t put this book down! I was at the edge of my seat with every chapter. Now I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series!!

Kept me wanting more!. Loved the two female characters which were fully drawn and realistic. Both were smart, flawed and had a backstory that drove them. The twists and turns were delicious and surprised me. The only thing I would have changed was calling Bundt the most prolific serial killer. There’s one that no one ever mentions named Randy Kraft who when they caught him (with a dead guy in his car) had hidden a list of 67 victims under the floorboards in the car. He had tortured and murdered most of them in the 80’s in Southern California.

Girl alone. It was a good read, but it honestly just felt like reading an episode of criminal minds. There was no guessing who the killer was or any really big revelation, it was all just happening page by page. Still good though.

Perfect fit to book. Love this book I couldn’t stop reading

You’ll enjoy the build up.. Very well written. The identifiable heroine. Storyline break completion or finish.

Read in one day awesome!. Very good book for those deep diving in thrillers for the first time

Captivating. Great read. I enjoyed the characters and the twists and turns. I look forward to reading the rest in this series and more books by Blake Pierce.

For the crime show fanatics. Absolutely loved this one! Felt like I was watching a crime show! Couldn’t put it down 10/10 recommend!

VG. Txhjx

love it. Amazing all around!

Girl alone by Blake Pierce. I like the book and I like Blake Pierce. His writing is not very original, but it takes me away from my own life which is very different than hunting down serial killers. I enjoyed Ella Dark as the main character. She was brave and strong, and took down the killer. I will read other Blake Pierce books again. Even though the stories are formulaic, I like the characters.

Contrived. Detective Deductions were so contrived. Otherwise ok.

Great read. This was a great read. I couldn’t put the book down. Had to know who it was. Enjoyed so much

Wasn’t bad. The book itself wasn’t terrible. The author definitely needs a new editor though.

People. Get a

Good book / Quick read. Great book, there were a good handful of typos but the plot and storyline were great. Although the ending could’ve been a little better.

Music calms the salvage beast.. Ella Dark has a case where women who go missing are found dead in a room with classical music playing. She must get inside the killers head in order to find him. Things aren’t as easy as they seem. This book will keep you up all night. ARC was received and I voluntarily gave my personal review.

Title was ok. Didn’t want to put it down The book was fantastic!

What an ending!!. I honestly love the whole book from start to finish. The details and the way I really assumed the killer was the coroner. But the way the author made it to the point you have to really think and under a serial killers mind which was crazy. Fora moment I was really trying to figure it out. The ending was shocking. I’m a HUGE crime junkie and this was by far my favorite crime book. The story line and how I immediately wanted to read the part 2 right after I was done let me know everything I needed to.

Killing women?. I don’t read about women being killed

LOVE LOVE LOVE. I LOVE THIS!!!! LOVE BLAKE PIERCE!!!!

Girl, Alone. Gives a new perspective on FBI Agents. Serial killers are the worst, but someone has to try and catch them. From a desk jockey to an agent in the field, Ella goes for it. Is it really what she wants to do and is her profiling right…

Great Reading.. If you are a fan of Blake Pierce this is definitely her type of book. Some twists, some are expected, intriguing and nice to read.

Stunning, thrilling book. Had my heart racing at moments couldn’t put it down. Was an amazing read looking forward to the rest of the series!!

Girl Gone. Excellent story line, suspenseful, captivating. Only deterrent observed were numerous grammatical errors that could have been prevented with a good proofreader.

GIRL ALONE. Great book, I have enjoyed every Blake Pierce book. Thanks k

First time reading this author. Very well written. A true page turner. You get to know the characters is detail without getting bored with useless info. Very well done.

Good thriller. Fun fast read ! I will read more in this series.

Loved the way this book was written. One of the best thrillers I have read. The amount of detail was insane. REALLY GREAT READ!

Amazing. I am very excited to discover what this series has to it. This is my first book from this author and it won’t be my last! Excellent book it is a must have !!

Girl Alone. Grabbed me from the first page- exciting roller coaster-good read

Girl Alone. Another great story. Thank you Blake

CAPTIVATING!. I could not put this book down. Great book - great author. Excited to read book 2…

Great book but…. Great book but so many grammatical errors & misplaced words!

Good until it wasn’t. I really enjoyed this up until the point the killer is revealed which was beyond disappointing. Without saying any spoilers it felt like a let down. That said I might read book two as I enjoyed the characters

A Good Read!!. Definitely worth reading

Loved it. What a gripping book, took me 3days to read!!

Surprised. Surprised I really enjoyed this story , well written and such a compelling read, with a great ending… will definitely purchase the next in series .

This girl enjoyed !. A damn good read!

Great book. Loved the way Ella starts out wanting to be an fbi profiler whilst being an analyst and her chance arrives with her hero in the field becoming her mentor. With bodies piling up it’s clear she needs to earn her stripes and fast! Along the way she battles a violent but organised killer who gives her more trouble than she’d imagined. Books don’t always tell the whole tale. Fortunately this one does. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will read more in the series.

Good read. Despite the few grammatical errors this book was exciting, captivating, and had me gripped from the first chapter. Great story!

Girl Alone. Blake Pierce has a way of drawing you into the lead characters own skin. You feel really involved in solving the crime scene before the characters. A pleasure to find this author, I will be reading more in the series.

Brilliant. An excellent book from beginning to end. Thoroughly captivating.

A* read it in a couple of hours!!!!. Excellent book.. really enjoyed it, couldn’t put it down Great author..!

Average story telling. The premise of the story is unique but the telling of it lacks sophistication

Brilliant. Brilliant start to finish

Girl taken. Has you at the edge of your seat gasping with goosebumps. Definitely a favourite

Girl Alone. Fast paced, exciting action with believable, sympathetic, smart female characters leading the way. Loved this and finished it within hours of starting. Now on to books 2, 3, 4….and more. Once you discover writing this good, you just have to read more.

Gripping read. A very good read kept me intrigued all they way through. Some good twists

Great!. Easy but captivating read!

👍. Fantastic read, couldn’t wait to start the next book

Addictive Read. Compelling you from the moment you start too read the book ….48hrs to finish the story and I am hooked from every novel wrote….looking forward to the next …thank you for your mind and knowledge to compel writing of such skill

Awesome. Wow had me hooked I loved it 😊 I’m so glad I didn’t pass by the book I will definitely be reading more

Gripping from page 1. Awesome read from first to last page

Wow!!. I couldn’t put this book down, I normally struggle to read books but this I managed in two days, it sparked my interest through its mention of well known killers but added extra chill and suspense, would highly recommend!

Great read. Really good book, leaving you guessing throughout. Definitely recommend!

Brilliant. It was brilliant couldn’t put away I’m hooked

Good start. I feel like this was a good base start to the series, something that opens the door and invites you in while giving you a good crime story. Definitely recommend.

Amazing. I’ve never really been into thriller novels however I loved this book and I’m off to read the next one

Pathetic don’t waste good reading time on this!!. This book and book one are DREADFUL. Don’t waste good reading time. Seriously I actually started yelling at the main characters a few times begging them to stop being so damn pathetically and lost in self doubt - they were FBI agents supposedly. Also in book one she had a gun in the field but suddenly in book two she isn’t allowed too… just one of several errors easily spotted!

A great read. Great read with exciting and some very disturbing characters. Never a dull page.

Gripping from start to finish. What a brilliant book that engages you straight away right through to the very end. Can’t wait to read book 2.

🦾🦾🦾. 😾😾

Brilliant. Amazing read

Spellcheck. Please! There is nothing worse than breaking up your reading flow because of spelling errors , missing words etc.

Girl Alone Book 1. It was a good read thrilling from start to finish.

Blah. I generally don’t like to stop reading mid way through a book but couldn’t stomach any more of this past about the halfway point. Just seems so cliched and boring and uninspired. Somewhat interesting idea for a killer but rest is just standard fare done way better most everywhere else. Can’t believe this is book one of like 6 or more. Will not be reading any further and I’m going so far as to delete the copy of book one I purchased, I disliked this so much I’ve bought about 2-3 books a month for years on iBooks and sadly only ever have made one other review I think and that was for a terrible read also. I don’t expect people to listen to my opinion on what’s great but hope I can help anybody from wasting time on drivel like this when there’s so much great stuff out there

Good read. Good read

It was free. 1.5 stars The author is American and has churned out at least 6 series of thrillers involving female protagonists with names like Avery, Riley, and Mackenzie. This represents of the start of yet another series involving rookie FBI agent Ella Dark. In brief Our gal had a bad childhood and has studied serial killers all her life, not because she wants to be one but because she wants to catch those suckers. She gets sidelined into clerical /research jobs in law enforcement until one day, one evening in fact, the (male) director of the behavioural unit plucks her from obscurity to look into a fresh case of female dismemberment down in Louisiana. The thing that distinguishes Ella’s elevation from that of another Southern gal from a broken home named Clarice, is that she’s paired up with an experienced female agent, not a male one, in this instance a cynical fifty-something, hard drinking, yet extremely fit looking gal named something or other, who says there’s nothing to indicate a serial killer apart from all the bodies that keep showing up. (A significant factor, I would have thought, but hey, what would I know? I’m no detective, just an old white guy.) Our gal sees the pattern though. The killer is restaging the modus operandi of other North American serial killers, some better known than others, all the while building to his piece de resistance: Bundyland. Can she stop him in time? Writing Better edited than the previous effort I read by Ms Pierce but the same breathless, high school writer style, riddled with plot and character inconsistencies. Bottom line I read it because it was free, okay? An extra half star for the concise summaries of how the various serial killers did their thang, which saved me having to go to Wikipedia. Judging by the number of positive reviews of this, and the author’s many other books, on Goodreads, other people feel differently to me.

A Female Heroine Book Worth Reading. I am not sure if the author is female or male. The use of all female main characters makes me lean towards the author being female. Unlike many others, this book is easy to read and enjoy. While the main characters are very capable, they are not built to be totally unbelievable or obnoxiously feminist. The book has a compressed time line. It does it without the reader feeling overwhelmed or annoyed. I found I was keen to pick it up to continue reading the story.

Riveting. Another great series, writing about a new FBI agent finding her feet twists and turns with each page

Easy reading. It taught me a few things.. Enjoyed it to the end.

Couldn’t put it down.... Great read,I could picture the characters and felt their fear.Well written and a exciting read. Would recommend if you like a good thriller.

GIRL ALONE. What a load of utter rubbish.

Girl Alone. Suspenseful! Good read!

Entertaining Read. A well written suspenseful read. Looking forward to the next book.

Great Read!. Overall a great book to read. Very suspenseful and full of twists and turns. I definitely want to keep reading this series!!

Girl Gone. Good book with obvious flaws but an enjoyable read. To believe a town police force wouldn’t have enough cops to assist an FBI chasing a serial killer letting her go alone defies police procedures. Then after the security guard was murdered, Dark says at least no one died here tonight?!! Oops. Did he not count. Leaving the rookie in the house while all the other cops ran after ?? He was still in the house so who were they chasing. Why did she let the serial killer , once apprehended get so close to her? She ordered him on his knees hands on head. Next he hits her with the oak limb. I really like this author but a bit more attention to small details could’ve really made this a top notch thriller.

Glued to the edge of the chair. This is one of the best crime books I’ve read in a while. It was very well written with very strong yet vulnerable female characters. It felt like I eas watching an episode of Criminal Minds.

Awesome. Great suspense thriller, totally recommend. I’m hooked.

US drama Lama stuff. It starts out pretty good, than it becomes ridiculous. The author insists on putting us on the wrong leg, while all the while it’s utterly useless, we already know it’s wrong. Also prodigy ok, but rookie is still rookie. Keep it flawed. The characters are fairly undynamic, boring and so bloody US serial drama… halfway I couldn’t take it anymore…

Girl Alone. Spell binding book never wanted to put it down awesome read.

Great read.. Loved it.

Great!!. This was such a great read! Blake Pierce does it again!!! Thrills and breath holding at its best.

Girl alone by Blake Pierce. I like to see how Ella’s brain works putting everything together and how good the team she makes with Mia - experienced agent.

woah.. this is the first introduction i've ever got into mystery and thriller books, and as a first look into the genre, i love it. the character focus changes so that you can think of the mystery on your own thoughts. very cool.

Girl Alone. It was a great read, couldn’t put it down! Couldn’t wait to see who this creep was and if they would catch the culprit! Bought other books from this author and can’t wait to read them.

Suspenseful read!. Great book! Kept me wondering right from the start! Ella Dark is fantastic!
