Amateurish. I can overlook poor editing, but the writing is sophomoric.

Lots of typos! But great story line. I definitely enjoy these types of books. The story had great progression of the main characters and the dynamics of both FBI agents is very interesting. I have read both book 1 and now book 2 in this series and plan to continue with the remaining books. I do believe, however, that whomever the editor is for this series, he/she needs to do a bit better job on the proofreading.

Girl Taken. Way too many grammatical errors beginning with the first sentence! Does the publisher even proof the book before presenting it to the public?

Girl Taken. Same old serial killer who leaves his victims with a clue about his motives, blah blah blah... more spelling and grammatical errors than a trump tweet.

Girl, Taken. Loved this book, looking forward to reading the next in series.

Frustratred. Book won’t even properly download. Goes along with the fact that her previous book needs editing not spell check. Sad!

Editing was lacking.. Editing was not good but overall it was a good story.

Love Ella Dark!. A new protagonist is taking us on more thrill rides! I was looking for more suspense at the end, but enjoyed the reintroduction of an “old” character. I’ll look forward to the next installment!

Too many mistakes. The story was okay, but there were so many editing issues that it actually got distracting.

Love it suspense up to the max. I loved it. Very suspenseful so much so I couldn't read it at night but towards the end of it I couldn't put it down and I've already order the next one. Very good read.

Get An Editor. This book needs editing! There are extra words, words left out, misspelled words and grammatically wrong words on almost every page. It really distracts from the story.

It’s complicated.. I adore this writer and her great storytelling but this story just seemed so out of nowhere. In the first book I felt like Mia & Ella were really a team and this book took that a completely different direction and I really disliked that. While I enjoyed reading it and I wanted to keep reading it, there was a lot to it that made no sense. The story overall was okay, but the serial killers in this one were so out there and unbelievable it crossed the lines of fiction into ridiculous. I will read the next book in hopes it’s better than this one but so far this has been my least favorite by Blake Pierce.

Frustrating…. I enjoyed the content of this book but became increasingly frustrated at the poor editing. There are so many typos and grammatical errors. I wish the quality of the editing matched the quality of the content.

Intriguing. I am really enjoying this series. Keeps my attention and it’s for me to put it down

Research and editing are good. There are a fair amount of typos and editing mistakes but I’m ok with those. However I’m 200 pages in and I can’t get past the fact that the author has obviously never been to the city the story is based in (Seattle) and didn’t bother doing much research on the area. I kept coming across place descriptions that didn’t fit with the city I live in but trying to ignore. Then the author just mentioned that Bainbridge was 4 miles from the precinct and a ten minute drive. Umm, no. It’s an island! So it’s a 30 minute ferry ride plus wait times etc. Or it’s at least an hour and a half to drive around the sound. Kind of bummed as I liked the first book.

More of the same but more. This was a much more enjoyable than book 1 and had a lot of flow in each episode.

Full of suspense. But the typos kill me. Will continue reading the series though

Good story. I love these stories, they keep me reading. But I pray the author gets a proof reader soon.

Proof readers are essential. The book is good but it needed a good proof reader. Tons of errors. It was almost painful.

Hanging around In Seattle. A serial killer is using his artwork to share his latest killings in the parks in Seattle. Hanging them from trees in the park to get the most attention. The FBI sends Special Agents Dark and Ripley to solve the crime. They find a crazy mess when they get there. And another murder occurs when they have a suspect in jail. It is the twisted crazy trail they follow trying to find a lead. Dark isn’t afraid to jump in feet first and go after a lead. Will they be safe or will this mystery person come after them? Nobody’s talking but someone knows something. “I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.”

I read this through the night.. Lots of suspense. The characters really come to life.

Girl taking. This is one of the best written books I’ve ever read but I need some time before I begin another such reading as I have problems sleeping 😴 at night.

Brilliant read!. Another fantastic book from Blake Pierce. I could not put this book down. Some spelling mistakes, but apart from that, I honestly couldn’t recommend this author enough. Easy but extremely enjoyable read. Onto the next…

Good story, ruined by poor editing.. I really enjoyed the story, however there are so many spelling mistakes and grammar errors it’s irritating to read. It needs better editing.

Great read … lots of twists. Kept along the lines of the books, lots of twists and turns, exciting and couldn’t pit it down.

Another good Ella Dark mystery. Kept me interested the whole way through and didn’t put it down till finished.

Repetitive. I didn’t mind the book it’s repetitive in the daddy got killed and I don’t know why that seems to crop up in a lot of books, its a light/nothing kind of book, the next book would have to improve a lot for me to bother reading more of the series

Badly written cheap thriller. This is the second book by Blake Pierce that I’ve read. I won’t be back. Sloppy research and too many adjectives. The story kept me engaged but it is poorly written. Dialogue is unrealistic, and it would benefit from a better editing job. Thanks, but no thanks.

One of the best story . Must read 👍. Since for 5 days I am continuously reading this book . Everything was great , the title , characters , content and thriller . One of the best story I had read . I really liked the Ella theories how the whole team worked to find the serial killer and the suspense which was build from the beginning to end of the story .
