Riveting and full of suspense!. Amazing! This latest installment of the Carly Moore series had me on the edge of my seat the entire read. It’s full of suspense, some romance, and a touch of humor. This book has it all. Tired of hiding, but also questioning who she can trust, the walls are caving in and time is ticking for Carly as she moves forward in her fight to take down Bart Drummond and her father. So many questions and not enough answers. I love Carly and Marco’s relationship. He makes her laugh and forget her worries but most of all he makes her feel seen and above all loved. That right there is the epitome of the perfect book boyfriend. Hank is still cranky but lovable. We even get a visit with the dynamic duo of Roberta and Gladys. Roberta is my spirit animal and I can’t wait to be as onery as her!

Can’t wait for “Moore”. One of the many reasons I am a fan of Carly and this series is because of the incredible character development that we witness with each installment, and I think Carly truly comes into her own in The Lies She Told. There is a LOT of outward vulnerability that we don’t often see. She is open with her love for Marco and Hank, and her anger. She’s outspoken and forceful. She stands up for herself. You can’t help but be proud of the person she is becoming. And while I wasn’t convinced that Marco was the best love interest for our girl, this book showcases their love and respect for each other and you can’t help but get on board! I loved the various plots the happened within The Lies She Told. It kept me on my toes and I was never quite sure which way to look. Carly sought vengeance for Jerry, got to the bottom of Hank’s supposed fortune, and confronted her past all while continuing to work towards taking down Bart. The ending, while wrapping up some things, definitely left me wanting more!!

Intriguing and leaves you wanting more. If you enjoy a good mystery with a love story, this series is for you. This is a book that made me think. It kept me on my toes to keep track of all the players in the game as a lot were thrown in but they had important ties to each other. This kept me intrigued with the constant doubt in others. Not knowing who is there to help and who secretly has an ulterior motive. It was easy to get caught up in Carly’s world again and with each book, we come closer to wrapping up the the story without an anxious cliffhanger. There is intrigue on what will come next but won’t drive you insane while you wait. Or maybe it will... Another puzzle piece solved and can’t wait for the rest of the pieces to fall into place.

All the feels!!!. Things are getting real in Drum!! Carly is getting so close to the truth of it all. There are so many surprises in this book. Like BIG surprises! I can not wait to see where the story goes now. There are definitely a lot possibilities! If you’ve dipped your feet into this series, you definitely don’t want to stop now. If you haven’t yet, get started. This series will take you on a ride! I love the Drum crew. I’m so team Carly and Marco it’s insane. I LOVED getting an update from Rose. I hope we see more of that! Amazing!. Amazing job once again! I’m a long time fan of Denise! She her writing is so descriptive that she grabs you right from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. You are invested in the story as much as the characters.

Keeps you hooked!. This book is so full of twists and turn there’s no way you could guess the end! I cant get enough! I love learning about these characters and the way they all interact.

Loved it!!. Y’all!! This book is so good. It left me with a good book hangover. Carly Moore is a amazing main female character who is phenomenal at sleuthing. The mystery and storyline had me hooked from the beginning and it kept me intrigued throughout the book. It was so intense for me. I was on the edge of my seat while reading this book. The fifth installment, has a little bit of everything. Romance, murder, mystery, and comedy. I laughed so hard several times while reading. I absolutely loved seeing more of Hank in this installment and I still love that old man. He’s like a big ole teddy bear. Marco melted my heart as well!! If you love a good mystery series, be sure to add this series to the top of your TBR list. It is SO good!!

Another great read!. Carly Moore continues to be one of my top mystery series of all time! The Lies She Told is so good, full of murder, suspense, and romance. Between a mysterious woman visiting Carly at work and leaving behind an ominous note, along with the news that Hardshaw has been taken down, Carly knows that more trouble and surprises are in her near future. I just adore these characters, and with each new release it feels like “going home” again. I love Carly and Hank’s special relationship, and that this book provides a deeper look into his past. The Lies She Told is an absolute page turner that you will not want to put down!

What the?!. What in the world is going on? First Hank just about broke my heart. Then xxxx did that! And then Carly found out more about her past. I swear there’s no one to trust in Drum.

Hold onto your seat, this plot is twisty and action packed!. I love the Carly Moore Series and this book did not disappoint. A new character arrives on the scene and sets in motion a series of unpredictable events. It's hard to know who to trust, because for each truth that is revealed, more questions arise and secrets are unearthed. Denise Grover Swank is a master at realistic and insightful dialogue. The writing is superb with layered character building and steady pacing leaving readers on the edge of their seat! I can't wait to find out what happens next in Drum.

talk is cheap. I was very excited for this book. Carly has a lot going on. Can she trust the people she has grown to love? Does she need to move on? who is the enemy? These questions went through my mind while reading this book. I will leave those for you to figure out. By the end of this story we find that there is a lot of talk in this town. How it is used is going to surprise you. I love Carly and Marco together. They have such a cute, growing love. I love how they stick with each other and are learning to trust each other. They are trying to tell the truth always no matter what. This story shows you a different side of a lot of people. I hope some we learn to trust later on and some I hope Carly kicks to the curb. You are not going to be disappointed in this story. It was amazing. Lots of old drama and new will keep you guessing till the end.
