The book starts with a tragedy that brings Caleb, Emerson and Fiona together, how the friendship develops then leads to more between Caleb and Emerson. He shows her that May/December relationships can work out. We also get to see some old friends from the Misfit Inn and catch upon their lives too. Life changing events, tears, laughter, friendship, sexy times that lead you to finding your soulmate and your HEA!

Loved It!. I LOVED this book and the fact that it went to both of the main characters’ point of view! It was an amazing read that I couldn’t seem to put down.

Another winning book from Kait Nolan, and great intro to a new series!. The Misfit Inn books are some of my favorites by Kait Nolan, and I’ve always wanted to learn more about some of the other children who lived there. In this book we meet Caleb, who lived there as a child. As a mom of daughters, I adored the aunt/mother-daughter relationship between Emerson and Fi almost as much as the romance between Emerson and Caleb. Definitely recommend you read this one! Standing ovation for Caleb and Emerson. This book is absolutely amaze-balls! I loved it from page one and instantly fell in love with not just swoon-worthy Caleb but Emerson as well. They have been together for four years...on the worst and most dramatic night of Emerson’s life. But it took them years...only because he’s remarkably patient and she’s slow on the uptake...to become a couple. And honestly, that coupling was pretty much drama free. That pesky age difference that Emerson worried about quickly became a non-issue. So they settled nicely into coupledom, but I think we all waited fo4 that shoe to drop. While I won’t say their roadblock was predictable, it was organic to the story and not something created for drama’s sake. That’s one of my favorite things about Kait Nolan’s stories; there’s none of those ridiculous plot twists that come out of left field. It’s all contained within the borders of the storyline she has created. Her characters are people who want to hang out with, laugh with, and cry with. They grow but never change too much, because they were smart, great people from the start. I knew I’d like this new series, since I haven’t read a Nolan book I haven’t liked. But if they are all as good as this opener...it might be my favorite series from her, period!

Slow burn to white hot.... Loved the palpable chemistry between Caleb and Emerson! And throwing an insta-family in the mix feels so current and relatable. Glad we got to see more of Joan’s boys and learn about their backstories... can’t wait for more already!!!! Great book to add to the MisFit Inn collection! Great Friends to Lovers Romance. Let It Be Me, didn't disappoint in the continuation of the Misfit Inn saga. Kait visiting the brothers of Joan's foster family is a brilliant move. Emerson and Caleb made the pages sizzle with sexual tension, whew! Kait's portrayal of real life and character growth is magnificent. Accepting love and risking friendship for something more is scary. Kait created just the right combination of fear and chemistry to make these characters come alive. Nothing not to love!. There is nothing not to love about Let It Be Me! Younger, hot firefighter secretly loves the single mom/guardian of a teen he rescues. Convinces single mom to give him a chance and then when they finally decide to take things to the next level...they can’t manage to get time alone. I laughed several times because as a parent of teens and a toddler, the relatable chase for the elusive alone time is so frustrating! This is definitely worth the read! Wow! What a great story!!!. I can’t believe the way I get caught up in Kait Nolan’s stories. Reading her books means stepping into another place for awhile where you’re surrounded by new friends and family who have your back when life dumps on you, and where love and romance knock you off your feet. “Let It Be Me” is an amazing story about true love in many shapes and forms. From a hot firefighter’s love for a woman he admires and supports unrequited for years while she’s in survival mode, to a very special relationship between this woman and her goddaughter when tragic events bring the 3 of them together. Add in some perceptive and outspoken friends and family, and I don’t want this book to end! And the great news is that it doesn’t have to! Yes, it’s a standalone with a satisfying HEA. But it’s also the beginning of a new series, with a bonus of ties to the Misfit Inn series as well. Nicely done and a great read! My heart went hop skip jump. Being a long time fan of Kait Nolan’s writing and characters, I read this one expecting it to be good. I WAS MINDBLOWN. I had no expectations of Caleb or Emerson and I happily swooned at Caleb all through the book. My heart was beating fast as I read this book, I felt like I was in this myself and I don’t have any words to describe Caleb. I’ve read the book 3 times already! I want to move next door to them. From a Man’s Perspective. Loved how this book was written from a man’s point of view. I get so absorbed in Kait Nolan’s books. The relationship between Emerson and Caleb is not what you would expect but, as usual, you cheer for, get upset with and want to shake each of them throughout the book. Fantastic. This is the third books I have read from the series and they get better and better. I love all the characters and the way the author spins in a fantastic story.

NOT an accidental story!. Despite how accidents played their part in this story, the story crafted around them is NO accident! I am drawn to stories with an uncommon element, such as an age difference with the woman being older or with one partner having a disability or medical issue. So this was right up my alley. I was a little surprised at the slow roll in the beginning, but liked how the reason for it was addressed later in the story — won’t say any more for fear of spoiling the story! This storyline felt like it was taking me on waves, each one higher than the one before. As ever, a wonderful Kait Nolan romance, with an especially sweet ending! Heartwarming. I loved the Misfit Inn series and Let It Be Me is a wonderful start to the Men of Misfit Inn series by Kait Nolan. This is a heartwarming story brought on by tragic events for Emerson who then adopts her best friend daughter and Caleb, a firefighter who rescued Fiona and stayed involved in the lives. I love how the Caleb is there for Emerson and her adopted daughter Fiona and has been secretly in love with Emerson. The story of Caleb and Emerson is uplifting, heart wrenching and truly a beautiful love story. I really enjoyed this beautifully written story about Emerson and Caleb. I highly recommend reading it. Loved it!. I’m so glad I discovered Kait’s books. They never ever disappoint. This one covers the romance between an audio book narrator (kind of makes me want to get the audio version now as well!) and a fireman - what’s not to love?! Two new main characters to meet, while still hearing snippets about characters met (and loved) in previous books, and a few new ‘wingmen’ characters to hopefully hear more about in future books. Great new series. This is a fabulous new series, bringing us back to the characters of the Misfits Inn, but now getting to know the other foster children. This story starts with sad and tragic event, that brings Emerson and Caleb together; and friendship that is the glue that binds their relationship together. How do you exit the friends-zone after such a long time, when Emerson is finally ready for live, Caleb is there, ready to help show Emerson the way. A wonderful start to a great new series. So good!. Caleb is too good to be true - a unicorn indeed. Note : some women out there know that they really do exist! Em is the embodiment of all women who compartmentalise roles; career, mother, lover… fully believing that something would have to give, that she couldn’t have it all. Such a great message to women (& the men who love them) that she can be everything/anything she wants to be - if she’s riding a unicorn that is 🦄

Recommend!!!. Can’t say enough positive things about this book. Wow, I absolutely loved it from beginning to end the story was moving, the sexy neighbor just 🤤 dammm hot 🥵 fire fighter! With the personality of a saint who wouldn’t swoon! The outcome is perfect but I won’t spoil it, you simply must read.

Loved it!. I read this as part of a 3-in-1 set and loved it. Caleb is so sweet and everything ends beautifully with the usual twist and turns along the way but nothing too crazy. A lovely romance!

This book took me on an emotional roller-coaster ride. This book took me on an emotional roller-coaster ride. From the very beginning I utterly adored Caleb. He truly is something rare and special. Emerson, on the other hand, drove me right out of my mind. She dropped everything to step up and be the mom that her goddaughter needed, which was so very admirable. But the woman has no concept of self-care. And it was in this, when she continued sacrificing her own wants and desires for others, kept piling layer after layer of guilt that wasn’t hers to own onto herself, that I kinda wanted to teach my reader to fly. It’s to the author’s credit that she got me past the tantrum throwing phase to see Emerson’s “ah hah!” moment and all the way to the perfect Happy Ever After ending. Already I can’t wait to read more about some of Joan’s other fosters. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.

This lady can write!. Believable characters, moving storylines, this author is fantastic. I’ve read a couple of her books now and have yet to be disappointed (except in the ones that are just the beginning of the story lol). It seems so rare to find real, honest, honourable, respectful men in near any book or show these days, but this author succeeds in creating them. Honestly, in a couple of her books she has a character refer to said male as a “unicorn”. And quite honestly these days her depiction of them truly does seem to make the lack of them in other literature and media noticeable. I hope they really do exist. Until one comes along, you can easily enjoy them in her books!

Emotional romance, I loved it!. I enjoyed this book, it had me in tears it was so emotional. A powerful book, powerful emotions, it grabbed at me and kept me hooked. (I loved what Caleb thought when he first looked into her eyes...'It's you.') I did get frustrated with Emerson a couple of times, and I have to think no one could be as perfect as Caleb, but it is a good book and I recommend it if you love contemporary romance like I do. I was given an ARC and I'm volunteering my honest opinion.

100% recommended. I absolutely love every Kait Nolan's books. You can't help but fall in love with the caracters and wanting more of them. I felt in love with small town life and can't stop dreaming of living in one and meeting a guy like Caleb since he's just perfect. The relationship between all the caracters is just beautiful !
