Shaded amethysts. Nice story with no angst. Liked it very much.

So many situations, will the right choices be made. This book can be read as a standalone, but is much better understood when read as part of the series. Avery feels like she is getting nowhere fast. She is back living with her parents, she is trying to study for the bar exam and she does not have a boyfriend. She does have her nieces and nephew who adore her because she loves to do activities with them. Avery decides to take them and their dog ice skating at the farm pond where she and their dad used to skate. They are met there by Avery’s friend, Molly; Molly’s husband, Grant and their son, Scout. Unfortunately an accident occurs and a handsome stranger comes to the rescue. Avery learns that he is the new vet and while she will admit that he is nice to look at they just don’t share any sparks. Avery helps another handsome stranger rescue a kitten and with him there are plenty of sparks, but Avery learns that he is an ex-con and she isn’t sure about her attraction. After one date, Avery knows that the vet is not for her and starts getting closer to the ex-con. Throw in a custody battle, a misunderstanding or two and couple of more surprises and you will see why this page turner is a good addition to the Brunswick Bay series. I love almost all of the characters in this series and enjoy reading each book to learn more. For me, it is like returning home and catching up with old friends and making new friends, too. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving this review.

Shaded Amethysts. Interesting with good characters. It bounced around a bit at times but was overall a sweet romance.

Shaded Amethysts. This was a well written story. It was a story that could happen in real life. The characters were believable and you could picture in your mind the town and the people. I enjoyed this book.
