Loved it!. This was my favorite book she has written yet!

VICTOR…Haunted but Beautiful!!!. HOLY MOLY!!!!! Vance!!!! How can you be so arrogant but so wonderful!!!! Victor was beautifully haunted man! And that’s saying something for the AES and the Alpha’s! But once you get to down to the nitty gritty with the help of a beautiful French brunette. Man do you fall in love! Sabine and Vance are so beautifully broken and they get each other so well! They find a way to put each other back together after everything. And it wouldn’t be Sybil without the alpha attitude! And she’s done it again!!! Such a beautiful haunted story, full of love, action, a little bit of forbidden naughtiness!!!

Sexy, Brave, Protective. The beginning of this book, it tugged at my heart strings. I felt bad for Vance and his past is catching up to him. Until he meets Sabine, who is in an abusive relationship. These two fire back at one another. They are a good match but can they survive together considering their past history? Will have to read to find out. He is so caught up in Sabine and protecting her. He can come protect me. Sabine is a brave, courageous woman. She puts up with a lot but does it without complaint and for a secret that nobody knows about except Joseph. She lost her whole family and that is hard in itself. She was desperate. I love this book. It was a great read Sybil Bartel. I highly recommend.

Intense. This is probably one of the more intense couples I've read out of all the Elite series. Vance is spiraling from a past he blames himself for, and Sabine is in a very abusive relationship that has made her extremely vulnerable. I love that Vance took one look and all he cared about was saving Sabine. He was exactly what she needed to be free. However, the ghosts of Vances past could very well block any happiness these two could have. Despite the instant connection, this was a slow burn romance. They really had a lot to work through for both of them to be ok which is where the intensity comes from. Well that and the danger they were all in. I just can't seem to get enough of these dominant men Sybil Bartel excels at writing. They all seem to struggle with something in their past but boy do they really know how to take charge. I find them highly addictive. Vance was another great example of that. I look forward to the next one in the series!

So now we know the real victor. We finally get to see why Victor acts the way he does! Interesting to see a different side of him. I was annoyed with all the back and forth in this book though. I wanted to shake them both and tell them to stop being stupid haha. But a great book nonetheless. Thank you Sybil for giving us these great books. 🙌🏼

Wow.. There are almost no words. I will preface this review by saying I’ve read all of Sybil’s books so far and after each one, I notice that they just get better and better. This one was definitely more of a slow burn and while the first sex scene doesn’t happen until just about the end of the book, I was taken on an emotional roller coaster. Something I appreciated about Victor was that there was an emotional focus and connection established that felt visceral and real as opposed to the instant-hump sessions that seem to follow the first chapter & the post-coital insta love that succeeds. At every chapter, the character development grows with their love and I felt like I was not reading a romance, but witnessing one. I also liked that although Sybil has previously written female characters who’ve been abused (Irina, Sanaa) Sabine felt like her own person & her soft spoken submission as opposed to Irina’s fire was refreshing. As far as Vance goes... Jesus. If you loved Dane, you’ll risk it all for Vance. Intelligent, hurt, haunting, and possessive he’s the best and worst parts of all men and I felt his pain more than if not as much as I felt Sabine’s. Two broken, beautiful people so carefully and intentionally written I found myself reading while I was at work. Sybil is a literary mastermind and Victor did not disappoint. I can truly honestly say she’s not the best in military romance, but maybe the entire genre. So freaking well done.

Victor and Sabine. Oh Victor! Victor has some really deep seeded issues. Sabine is a very unexpected surprise, in both work and personal. As Victor does his assignment, Sabine keeps floating into his life, in a really big way. Tons of action and appearances of our favorite characters. Slow burn, but then oh so steamy!

Vance!!. Another amazingly written love quest!! I loved this one too! Sybil understands the assignment every time!!

Highly recommended. I have enjoyed every book by this author, and this was no exception. I didn’t like Vance in the previous books, but this book explains pretty well why he is the way he is. He suffered and punished himself for many years. When he walks into an assignment that brings his past into sharp focus again he knows that he will do anything he can to help. Will he be able to fulfill his promises, and will redemption come with a love he doesn’t feel he deserves?
