Anti climatic. Good book, i personally feel as though the ending was rushed though. The climax was rather disappointing as winston goes from being imprisoned to a free man without much detail or description Maybe i'm missing some symbolism behind it but i really enjoyed the book up until then. Very interesting to make the comparisons from Orwell's prediction of the future to what life currently is, eerily similar.

Everyone should read this book at least once in their lives.. Everyone should read this book at least once in their lives. It is an amazing depiction of the fight against indoctrination and the eradication of individualism. Reminds me of the fight to withhold different opinions in our so called progressive western society.

Good but...... Great book. Shows the negative effects of political extremism. Although it gets weirdly sexual at times.

Wow timely read. Here in 2021 with pointless lies disseminating from the elites, the human willingness to submit to continuous surveillance and a global pandemic providing nonstop war it really puts things in perspective. Obviously genius has been said many times about Orwell but to deliver this insight from the first half of the 20th century is wow.

Hated in high school, loved after graduation. This book is hard to read, at any age, but after having graduated and lived life a little more; This book really made me think. It helps, also, that 1984 has long since passed. It’s interesting to try finding any current similarities between the book and present day. (There’s a few 😅). Highly recommend that everyone read this book!

Perfectly predicts the outcome of modern politics. We did a victory lap when defeating the nazis, and we should have after defeating the communists. Should be required reading for any social studies class. This book perfectly outlines the dangers of communism and radical socialism.
