Incredible read. This is the second book in the Chronicles of the Stone Veil Series, Finley and Carrick are on the hunt for the truths of the prophecy and dealing with the change in Fallon. It’s a magical new world of Fae and Daemon that Sawyer has created. Finley and Carrick are strong characters, who definitely have this intense attraction to each other. The build up is slow between Finley and Carrick and the story line is a incredible mystery yet to unfold but it’s well on its way to being a fantastic world of intrigue and magic!

Very interesting story. I am so glad I waited until The Rise of Fortune and Fury came out before reading this series. I am really getting into these books. I didn't know I liked the paranormal genre. I am super sadden that Carrick wants to cease to exist. That hurts my heart but I can understand. He's been around for almost 5000 years. He's seen so much, that nothing is interesting anymore. But I want Finley and Carrick to finally get together. And maybe it might change Carrick's mind about ascension. This book is building to something. I wish I could see things but I am completely in the dark. I HAVE NO clue where we are going. Though some things came to light. And we got a slight glimpse into Finley's future. I can't wait to see what happens.

Fantastical and Intriguing. Book 2 in this amazing new series provides us with a lot more information than we had before. Most of it is very useful towards understanding what is really going on and how Finley and Carrick are to work together to stop it. And with each secret that is revealed, this story gets more and more intriguing. I am absolutely loving it so far and loving Finley and Carrick, as well as Zaid, Titus and almost all of the other characters we have met so far. There are always those you won’t like in fantasy stories like these, but that is how it is supposed to be. You’ll see what I mean when you read it. And you definitely should read it if you enjoy incredible fantasy world building and amazingly creative characters, human and other. We meet some more Light Fae as well as Dark in this story and let’s just say we could definitely do without the Dark ones and what the appearance of some of them really means. But we do need them to make this story interesting and drive the plot. I can’t wait for the next book as this one ends with Finley in a pretty difficult predicament. Sawyer Bennett is definitely proving she was meant to write in this genre! What a creative mind and great storyteller!

5 I need more Stars. Oh my god. I need more. Like right now. This series, whilst initially a little slow to start in book 1, has me completely hooked! I need more Finley and Carrick. I need to know what happens next. This wait is going to be torture!!!!

Loving this series. 4.5 Stars for A Discovery of Secrets and Fate ( Chronicles of the Stone Veil #2) I need to firstly say please read book one The Revelation of Light and Dark before picking this one up as this book continues right where that one finished. This is the continuation of Finlay Porter and Carrick Byrne’s journey and it’s a journey that will keep you on the edge of your seat as they travel to Faere for information and answers Finlay is demanding. Finlay’s world has been turned upside down and her emotions are all over the place as she struggles to understand the prophecy and she needs to know where she fits into this world. In this book we get to see Finlay and Carrick bond whilst searching for the answers Finlay demands but it’s when they get back to earth that you see this couple have develop feelings for each other. I’m the first to admit I’m not usually drawn to fantasy or paranormal but this series has taken over my life and if I’m totally honest I have been blown away by the writing and the characters. This book also ends on a cliff hanger and I really can’t wait to pick up book 3 and continue this wonderful journey. This series should certainly be on all fantasy/ paranormal lovers TBR list.

Entertaining. Firstly if you have not read The Revelation of Light and Dark, then you need to stop and do so as this series needs to be read in order. If you are a fan of fantasy or paranormal romances this is for you. As with the first book I was a little surprised at how much I enjoyed this story. Continuing the journey that Finley Porter and Carrick Byrne have embarked on. Finley is still struggling to come to terms with what she has learnt about herself and the prophecy so far. As they embark on a trip to Faere, more information and answers to Finley’s questions will be revealed. As I expected there is more to Carrick that we initially learnt and in this book, we do get to find out more about him. The friction that existed between them comes is still simmering and their relationship is certainty rocky which adds an additional layer to the story as neither of them are prepared to back down. There is definitely chemistry between them but the question remains should they act on it? The more Finley learns, the more there is to discover. There are so many twists, turns and secrets that I was on the edge of my seat reading. These two will need to trust one another if they are to have a chance at succeeding. This book ends in a cliff hanger and I cannot wait for the next book The Evolution of Fae and Gods to see what happens next in this intriguing series.
