A slap in the face to lit-verse fans.. Book fans kept this franchise alive for nearly 2 decades while there was no other Trek to be had. 'Kill 'em all, let Q sort 'em out' is a disgraceful end to years of investment into characters and stories. And what about Voyager? Oh, they left the galaxy. What-evs. I'm sure the money involved in the book portion of the Trek Media empire is a rounding error compared to the movies/streaming shows but it was OUR rounding error. We deserved better than to be taken out back phasered like Old Yeller.

A satisfying end to an amazing trilogy!. David Mack never disappoints, and this novel was an amazing conclusion to an epic trilogy. I walked away with much to think about, which is one of the many elements of well-written Star Trek material. This trilogy has realigned the novel-verse into the new continuity in a very entertaining, emotional, and satisfying way. Well done!

Great until the end. Awesome trilogy and fantastic third book….up until the end. What a confusing and utterly disappointing epilogue to a well written series.

The End (sadly). This novel was difficult to get through for a couple of reasons. It’s a long novel and it’s very dark. There’s not really any hope to be found. I’m also not sure I was looking for any but maybe I was looking for it in my heart. The second reason it was so difficult was because we KNOW it’s the end of a grand journey that in a way started 34 years ago and renewed 20 years ago to fill a void left by the absence of Trek on TV which was done marvelously for the most part. This is the end and being honest after seeing the return of trek on TV it almost feels like the end of my fandom of new Trek material. This saddens me as TNG came out a year after I was born and it will always be my go to series. I am glad the writers set the terms for their end rather than the current heads running Trek as this felt respectful of things that existed before and gave us a conclusion albeit not a happy one. On a final note, I want to thank the authors for giving us new Trek to enjoy and explore. LLAP

Marvelous!!!!. What an undertaking! To try to tie everything together in a timeline that gave meaning to all the books I’ve read and the new characters and development that had become literally a part of my life. Please don’t stop writing come up with another timeline I eat your books like candy plowing through them like a knife through butter. Honor integrity Loyalty service. How much better would life be if the principles of Starfleet permeated Our world. Bravo on this coda to all 3 authors!! I love the beautiful turns of phrase, sometimes I have to look up words. And sometimes I just have to stop and enjoy the lexicon. The way you can conjure beautiful images in my mind just with your words. What a gift
