OSC in top form. Card writes to his strengths, and delivers a book that is unpredictable plot-wise but consistently engaging and entertaining. When I saw that this was the first in a series, I was a bit concerned because I like stories that have an ending, even in the larger context of a series. I shouldn’t have worried. Wakers tells a complete story while leaving the reader ready for the next book…anxious, even. I can hardly wait!
Good. Interesting read. Heavy with dialogue but that’s just the authors style. Reminds me of his pathfinder series.
