Finding Faith. A great read! Great characters. Couldn’t put it down!

Finding faith. This is a real life story. I enjoyed and understood Mary and Luke. Both had real life issues and good reason for their feelings from past experiences. One has a very unhappy childhood with the responsibility of a sibling at a very early age because of unhappy parenting issues. The other is a widower who is in need of a loving partner for his sake as well as his young family. I could not put this book down. I read it all in one evening. It has been a very long time since I read anything that made me want to see how the story ended. Surprises and tears as well as a lot of laughing. The author has a very good sense of humor. Looking forward to reading more stories like this.

Finding Faith. I loved this sweet story! The characters were great and so was the chemistry between them.

Love and healing. The one thing Mary will never be is a mom. Not that she hates kids. But her childhood was so terrible that she’s determined not to follow in her mother’s footsteps, and she’s stuck to that decision her whole life. She even ended things with her handsome, rich fiancé when he wanted kids. Besides, she has plenty of kids in her life: her nephew, Troy, who needs as much love as he can get, and the hundreds she helps every Christmas with her Sub-for-Santa program. The kid thing puts a damper on her dating life. So when Mary bumps into a friendly, good-looking stranger, she politely but firmly says goodbye. Except that Luke doesn’t want to say goodbye and manages to talk her into a date. He seems to be everything Mary could want, so it comes as a terrible shock that he has two young children. These little ones tragically lost their mother already, so no way is she going to step in only to let them down again. But since they’re moving out of her life in a few weeks, maybe it would be okay to enjoy a taste of what-if…and to face the reasons why she can never have children of her own. Is it possible she could overcome her past? I love Mary’s character. She is strong, ambitious, and principled, but also generous and compassionate. She loves her sister enough to risk her own future. She feels deeply but is willing to do what is right despite how she feels. Luke is a perfect match for her, patient and kind and funny, and stubborn enough to wear down her defenses. It’s so much fun to watch their relationship progress. While they have plenty of learning and growing to do, they’re not teenagers struggling with angst and hormones. They’re looking for the rest-of-their-lives love that can raise children together, navigate life’s difficulties together, and bring out the best in each other. Finally, this review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning those two precocious but sweet children. Amy just melts my heart with her wise-beyond-her-years comments and firm love for Mary. Chase is adorable and seeing Luke be a loving dad is pretty much the cutest thing ever. As in any of Bridget Baker’s books, these characters feel so real. And while Mary and Luke may seem like an unlikely couple, given her stance on children, we’re able to see how deeply compatible they are, not just attracted to each other despite their differences as Hallmark movies tend to portray…they seem like they could actually do life together. I’ll be thinking about them for a while, happy that I got a glimpse of their lives.

Fun read. I

Kept me reading!. This story about Luke and Amy was hard to put down! Lots of interesting things going on with unexpected surprises along the way! Such a sweet story about people choosing not to become their parents and overcoming the challenges along the way! Clean, sexy love story! Totally recommend it!

Sweet Easy Read. This book was a very easy read, with a sweet story line. I loved the self-discovery of the main character and the persistence of her suitor. Great fantasy ending. 💖

Finding Faith. Wonderful book page turner highly recommended characters are fun and down to earth humor is good I like the children in the book I could connect with Troy and his mom Trudy Mary learning about life we all need friends like she has, don’t stop reading it is a really wonderful book

Start of series. This is the third book I have listened to by this author. While I still liked this story it didn’t appeal to me as much as the other series I have started. It was a clean, sweet, feel good romance. It was a more of a Christmas romance. While the romance took place at Christmas the focus wasn’t as much on the season as it was figuring out how to move on from past hurts and change what you think you want out of life. It bothered me that she focused on how her parents were the worst parents ever. And while being abandoned by one parent and having the other one abandon you emotionally while also neglecting your physical needs would be horrible I think there are too many children in worse conditions. It also bothered me that she couldn’t recognize that by refusing to date someone with kids was her right to do it did make her somewhat selfish. Those kids already existed and just wanted someone to love them. Over all I think it was a good story. I just think it was a little long. Too much focus on her wants. She like breaks up with him so many times even though she knows he plans to move. And her friends and sister wanting her to dump him in when he was leaving in a couple weeks really irritated me. Her sister and one of her friends have kids. It’s a little weird. With that said I wouldn’t write off the story. The underlying story was worth the listen. I really liked Luke even if I wasn’t in love with Mary.

Great set of books. These books are great! This is the best author I’ve found lately. Definitely read everything she writes!

Finding Faith. First time reading this author, and I would read her again. This was a clean story with interesting characters and real life problems and circumstances. I stayed interested throughout the story.

Great read.. I enjoyed reading this story. I loved reading about the children and the characters were fantastic and interesting.

Challenging and enjoyable. This was a good book. I enjoyed following the main character, Mary learning to grow into a beautiful person inside and out. With so many people coming from broken families today, it makes it possible to believe that you can have a good life.

I loved this book. This is one of those that made me read way too late at night & pick it right back up when I got up in the morning. I’m glad I found this author & I’ll surely buy more of her books. That’s pretty much the best thing I think anybody can say about a book, that it made me want more.
