Excellent. Highly Recomend.. This is such an important book.

Trans-formed my thinking. A complex issue requires focused attention. This book does that. It starts with science and clarifies the confusion that trans activists depend on to hoodwink the public. Joyce has changed my way of looking at this issue through precise arguments and logic.

Information about a difficult subject. A well argued and brilliantly informative book. As a liberal woman I have to say , while I have great sympathy for adults who want to identify as a gender other than their biological sex, I was unaware of laws and practices that are : one, promoting the transitioning of prepubescent children, and two striving to limit all sex definitions. A vocal group should not hold sway over legal and public policy. We all need to be informed.

Transphobic agenda. Ideologically desirable with a a fascist intention, plain great transphobia in a smokescreen of rationality and ostensible rhetoric abuses.

Ignore the negative reviews. This is a rational and factual expose of the trans movement. It speaks volumes that this deeply misogynistic and homophobic cult would push to have it removed from the Apple Store. It’s time for all of us to start having conversations & debates around this topic. Stonewall’s authoritarian “no debate” policy belongs in North Korea not in western democracies. Well written and interesting. Highly recommended

Unscientific and biased. I was hoping for a balanced scientific analysis of the prevalence, causes, treatment options and outcomes for gender dysphoria. Instead, the author’s position is clearly “gender critical” and she presents carefully selected quotes and studies to confirm her bias. This is a real shame as this is a area where raging echo chambers need replacing with actual analysis and science. But this is just another raging echo chamber!

Cool headed and much needed. A clear, intelligent and comprehensive unpacking of the trans issue and of the proponents and opponents of ‘gender identity’.

An intelligent, bold, rational, data-driven account. Helen Joyce’s book is essential reading for all humans. Joyce’s handling of data is masterful and beautifully transparent. As an ex-employee in a UK gender clinic, I share a lot of concerns around paediatric transitioning. All too often, children are encouraged to transition without psychological exploration of the (typically many) factors underpinning their gender dysphoria. Joyce’s tone is cool and collected, never disrespectful or unkind. A truly remarkable book.

Gross opinions on trans people. Trans people are not a problem that needs fixing. Develop some empathy

feet planted firmly on the ground. Much to the chagrin of some, this book clearly documents a strong perspective of this very confused moment in time. I would like to read more on the ‘how and why’ of trans ideology, but this is a fantastic and researched take on the what.

At last and thank you!. Intelligent and readable. Making sense of the mad and bad world of trans. It’s a must read for policy makers.

Must read. Ignore the women-haters who call this TERF trash. This is the book that Trans Rights Activists don’t want anyone to read. It explains how women’s sex-based rights are crumbling and how some teens’ lives are being destroyed by gender ideology.

An Excellent Read. This was a fantastic read and has cemented my views on the issue. I now believe that gender as a concept is inscrutable and meaningless, and that sex-based self-ID is all that truly matters. At the same time, I still believe in the dignity of trans people. One does not have to believe in Christianity to respect a bishop.

TERF Trash. Don’t waste your money
