The Lost Boy by S.A. McEwen Book Summary

Things are going wrong for Olivia Shorten.

Her little boy has become withdrawn and anxious.

Her marriage is not the safe place she had believed it to be.

To top it all off, her teenage stepson has just come to live with them…and there's something unsettling, something not-quite-right about Charlie.

Olivia has her own plan about how to fix things. Unconventional, maybe, but she thinks she's doing the right thing for her family.

But then her little boy vanishes from their backyard without a trace.

Frantic with fear, and with the police and the media poking around in places she'd rather they didn't, it soon becomes apparent that everyone is hiding something.

Including Olivia.

The Lost Boy. Confusing. It could be a great story if it was written so a reader wasn’t confused. Dates were all over the place & some times people popped up left you wondering what & who now. I was bored with Olivia after awhile. I would have quit reading but wondered what did happen to Wolfe. There wasn’t much written focusing on the search for him. Jan.20 2023 camie

Zigzagging timelines. An interesting story with loads of insight into the inner thoughts of the characters. It was a bit difficult to follow along smoothly due to the many zigzags through time and characters for 5 stars.

Okay. Very hard to follow at times.

Few things I wanna say. So liked the mom’s brother—Abby I think his name was. Except… the storyline didn’t really make sense, it felt kinda thrown together and(no offense) lazy. I hope the author won’t take my words as offensive. I’m just trying to help u improve. I also think that maybe the mystery was solved too easily but that might just be bc I’m used to 2500 paged thrillers. Anyways, I hope u enjoy the rest of the day and once again, I’m sorry if I made the author upset by this review. That’s all for now, baiii!
