Lovely.. This is the kind of romance you want to read. It took me a bit to get into, not sure why, maybe it’s the British words. But, once hooked, didn’t want to put down until I finished and then I wanted more!

As yummy as cake. The fourth in Louise Bay’s Mister Series is a sweet, second chance, billionaire romance that was thoroughly enjoyable and hard to put down. It’s a classic love story peppered with so many fun details and interesting plot lines that you’ll fall in love with the characters and story. When Hartford returns home from serving as a doctor abroad for several years, she is met at the airport by Joshua, her brother’s best friend and her teenage crush. Her meddling mom made the arrangement with his mom, which I found hilarious. Joshua lives in a penthouse apartment in a highrise hotel and rents the temporary unit next door for Hartford while she sorts out her life in London. Hartford’s crush is rekindled quickly, even though she denies her feelings. For his part, teenage Joshua was oblivious but now that she is all grown up, he can’t help seeing what’s in front of him. He has long been a serial dater, with deep commitment issues. But love can’t be denied after these two cross paths. Louise Bay spins a story that is sweet, cute and funny. Hartford and Joshua, thinking they are not looking for love, set each other up on dates that go badly, and then spend the nights chatting together and eating cake after each date. They quickly become friends and so much more one absolutely steamy night, and Joshua tries to figure out how to tell Hartford he wants more. Additionally, Joshua and his firm are also bidding to get an advertising contract with a drug company seeking to release a new OTC drug. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to him, Hartford and her boss are crusading against the release of this dangerous over the counter drug setting the story up for an interesting plot twist. And of course, to add extra fun, we have Joshua’s mates and their partners making appearances and sometimes meddling. Add in a ton of cake, a date in the park, and a bathtub; and you have a fun read that you won’t want to put down! Mr. Park Lane is a book you definitely need on your TBR list today!

Absolute loved!. MR. PARK LANE is a bother’s best friend/friend’s little sister, billionaire romance with a hero that was equal parts swoon worthy and sweet. I loved the will they, won’t they, push and pull between the MCs and the yummy tension it made. And man, when they finally gave into their feelings and desires it was everything I hoped for and then some. Louise Bay has mastered the art of creating likable characters, insanely electric chemistry, and adding just the right amount of spice to her romances! MR. PARK LANE made me smile, laugh, swoon, and my bookish heart so very happy. Five stars.

Worth Reading. I have loved reading all your books. This one was amazing! I had a hard time putting it down and did not want it to end. Joshua was a real gentleman that knew he no longer wanted to be a player and Hartford was his perfect girl. Absolutely amazing. I can’t wait for the next book.

Swoon worthy. Loved the story between Hartford and Joshua. Hartford is such a great person, selfless and smart and kind. Joshua is charismatic sexy good hearted. Where can I get my own Joshua? 😁

Adorable. What an adorable story! All Louise Bay characters are enchanting but Hartford is so special. She’s a doctor who came from working with Medicines Sans Frontiers, she’s incredibly kind and generous, she loves to help and give to others. For a hardened playboy like Joshua Kent, she’s the exact medicine he needed! Hartford used to have a crush on Joshua when she was seventeen and he was nineteen. He was best friends with her older brother. One day they were stranded and she went to pick them up. She had just gotten her driver’s license so wasn’t a good driver and it was snowing. She got into an accident, broke her leg and that ruined her dreams of becoming a ballerina. She decided to forget about Joshua and her crush on him. “Our parents had been friends since I could remember. Joshua was the same age as my brother. My sister was a year younger, and to my eternal frustration, I was the baby. The baby with a crush on her older brother’s best friend.” Fast forward 10 years, she’s a doctor, she was working with Medicines Sans Frontiers and came back to London with a broken leg (same leg as before). Her mother insisted she stay with Joshua and his mother insisted that he take care of her. Their mums are besties. So, instead of having her in his spare bedroom, he rented an apartment next to his. Hartford mentally created a forcefield around her in order to protect her heart from the attraction she always felt for Joshua. Through the book, that forcefield received continuous attacks when Joshua was particularly sweet or sexy. “I’m immune,” she said, tapping her nose. “Created a Joshua Luca forcefield when my mum said she’d arranged me to sleep in your guest bedroom.” From the moment he met her, she was like a breeze of fresh air. She didn’t simper, try to get his attention with flirting, she was just friendly and wanted him to eat cake with her. She got work with the foremost doctor in pediatric medicine, her days were long but she always had time to eat cake with Joshua. He was supposedly coaching her on going to dates and getting a man. She decided to help him out of the one-night-stand rut by also getting him blind dates. While all this collaborating and teaching was going on, Hartford was learning to make cakes, to have a social life apart from medicine, and to spend time with Joshua (eating cake!). He loves getting bubble baths with aromatic oils, candles and wine at an exact temperature of 38 degrees. He calls them Genius Time and it’s how he makes all his big decisions. When she got home one day, completely wrecked from work, he got her into one of those baths. “The bath was where I figured out solutions to problems. I’d had a bath every day since I’d learned about the Merdon acquisition. I was still waiting for inspiration to strike.” You can tell they were a couple because they shared with each other what was most important to them, cake and baths. The ones who took time to realize this were they! I totally enjoyed this story and all the cute moments. Loved that the other couples appear in this one and how welcoming the women of the group were with Hartford. All the cake baking made me hungry! The conflict was also interesting, since both were involved in something very scientific where both were involved from opposite sides but both sworn to secrecy. So here I was biting my nails and hoping for a break through and they were clueless. “He’d started off as my first love and changed into something even better—a really great friend and a man who arranged picnics in the park and took me to dinner. A man who kissed me. A man who’d done things to my body that should be illegal.” Entertaining, cute, with lots of steam, great group of friends, a little intrigue to add some suspense, and two lovely characters! Wonderful!

All the feels and swoon. Wow, hold back all the other Mister’s, Joshua has swooped in and stole my heart! Hartford is needing somewhere to stay in London after leaving her medical post in Yemen until she finds something more permanent and her mum sets up a place for her. It comes at a cost though, she will be staying with her old crush, who she hasn’t seen in ten years. She thought she could suppress her old feelings but seeing and living near him only intensifies them, disabling her force field. Joshua can’t have anyone stay with him so he sets up a place for Hartford to stay next door to him. He hasn’t seen her in over ten years and barely remembers her from their childhood. When he spots her, he immediately feels a pull to her but can’t understand why and pushes it down. Hartford’s only focus is her work at the hospital and her boss is encouraging her to adopt a better working life balance outside of work. She wants to impress him and sets about doing this, enlisting Joshua’s help. Everyone that reads his book is going to fall head over heels for Joshua and Hartford. Not many heroines have stood out for me recently but Hartford is such a quirky character, saying what she wants - she’s hilarious, representing real women and having the biggest heart, my girl crush on her is real. Then we have Joshua. All the stops have been pulled out creating this magnificent being. I wanted to stroke his dimple every time it appeared and you could just imagine Hartford staring at him, he was an Adonis. He has the biggest heart and talk about moves! He has them all, I swooned so bad. I also loved how he would have cake at the ready or on speed dial, ready to debrief their day. I loved their relationship with each other, how friendly they were, how they were there for each other and how Joshua knew exactly what she was needing. There are so many great moments, the baking, the re-baking, the picnic, the baths, the cameos of previous characters, I could go on but I don’t want to spoil it for you. This was a slow burn with a good amount of angst that kept me flicking through the pages so fast, falling for them harder each page I turned. I love this series and can’t wait to see if Louise can top Joshua ☺️.

I loved it!. Mr Park Lane is perfection! I loved it! Joshua and Hartford are fantastic characters. Their easygoing friendship and their sizzling chemistry is fun, passionate, and red hot sexy. This exciting new addition to the Mister Series is my new favourite and I can’t wait for the next one!
