Oh-so-delicious possessive hero in this sexy and romantic duet. 4.5 Stars White Nights was absolutely everything I needed to read right now and I read it almost in one sitting (darn you, work!) The book is fast-paced and easy to read, with great chemistry between Alex and Katerina that I maybe didn't feel instantly (like they do) but definitely did within a short time after. In general I always say I prefer a slower burn but all of the elements of this book came together for me in a perfect way to fit my mood and help me escape reality at the best possible time. While not a dark romance as these authors have written in the past, Russian billionaire hero Alex has that sexy, darker edge to him and is oh-so-deliciously possessive and controlling *swoon*. Their story is sexy but even more romantic in all the best ways. It is book one of a duet but doesn't have a cliffhanger, just ends perfectly in a way that makes you eager for book two, coming next month.

Amazing. This book ended too soon! I was pulled into this story, and left wanting more when I got to the last page. Alex and Kate’s are so good together. I hope we get to see the dark side of Alex. He is very secretive and while we get glimpses of his dark side, what is he really capable of? He is obsessed and possessing with his things. That includes Kate. Can she handle it? Book 2 can’t come fast enough. Anna and Charmaine, what a great start to this duet. Truly a must read.

Intense x 100!!!. So many delicious, goodness in this book! It's a bit on the darker side, but more mildly dark and that's all due to the hero. Alex is that intense kind of hero that seems to be on the verge of violence. He seems to hold that darkness behind a gentlemanly veneer. You can tell immediately that he doesn't play by the rules. Kate is more the type of heroine who plays by the rules and rarely lets go. She sometimes behaves like she avoids life if she thinks she'll get hurt. Her attraction to Alex is so strong that he tempts her out of that shell. She still holds back, but he doesn't really give her a choice. My favorite thing is how Alex pursues Kate. He's borderline too much but in such a good way. He's just used to getting his way and doesn't see why he should hold back. And yet you can tell he does hold back for her. He really does try not to scare her off. It keeps you on your toes because you know things are about to go from 0 to 60. This first book ended on a slight cliffhanger, but that 0 to 60 is about to be unleashed!

A little longer would be great!. I loved if, I just need a little bit more story after the climax with the series that are being written recently. They have a great plot but end rather abruptly! ❤️❤️❤️ love the character development and the stories

Insta-love with a twist. Kate is a nurse in the ER that happens to meet Alex by chance. Their attraction is off the charts for each other at first glance, and soon we are catapulted into a game of cat and mouse and soon the Russian love story we crave. I love the fact that Kate is not weak, and not only that but she is self sufficient for herself, and takes care of and shows so much love her her single mom who has a disability. You don’t see that much, and even thought it was small, as someone who also suffers, the visibility meant something to me. If you’re a fan of any other books by this author, or just fast based romances with some suspense and crime, this is for you! Alex and Kate. I don't usually sign up for ARC's, because I tend to savor a book and read the chapters that I love several times before I move on. And because of that, it takes a couple of weeks for me to finish a book. But when Charmaine Pauls announced that she was teaming with Anna Zaires on the White Nights' series, I couldn't sign up for the ARC fast enough. I could not wait the one or two weeks for the Kindle copy to be released. White Nights first came to my attention when I read Anna's Mia & Korum series a few years ago. Absolutely fell in love with that preview, and then for Charmaine to be collaborating... Unbelievable. The introduction of Kate and Alex in the Emergency Room was everything. So, thank you Anna and Charmaine for telling their story. The heroine truly makes or breaks a book for me, and so many of Anna and Charmaine's heroines are truly my all-time favorites, such as Yulia and Jane, two downright unforgettable characters. So I was surprised when I didn't really connect with Kate. But even with that, leave it to these two fabulous authors to weave a great story with romance, intrigue and a great supporting cast of characters. I have no doubt that in book two, I'll find that connection with Kate that I have with all of these author's heroines that have come before her. Bring on Midnight Days!

Highly recommended riveting must read story!. I thoroughly and absolutely loved reading the engaging, engrossing, captivating, and amazing romance story by two phenomenal authors Charmaine Pauls and Anna Zaires. When Katherine Morrell is working as an ER Nurse, she meets a handsome, charismatic man, Alex Volkov, who makes his intentions clear to her, but Katherine doesn't want a one night stand and refuses. The next time she sees Alex she can't resist his charm and the pull she feels toward him and has an unbelievable night of passion. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and riveting the reader from the first page of the story until the last page of the story full of anticipation for the next story in the series.

Sizzling Hot. 😍💋❤️ Zaires and Pauls have done it again! This is another romantic story with suspense full of chemistry and all-around hot alpha maleness. I loved Devil’s Liar, so this story of Alex and Kate is no disappointment. I cannot; I mean I cannot wait to read what’s next for them as they flee the country. Who is after Alex?

This White Night enthralled & enveloped me!. As soon as Alex and Kate met, it was instant attraction, and I was instantly excited to read how their story would unfold. It did not disappoint! I was enthralled with their burgeoning relationship and enveloped in their world, because I couldn’t put this book down until I got to the end. Alex was charming and magnetic yet possessive and dominant; I could not get enough of him just like Kate. Kate was smart and levelheaded, and I liked her. Their worlds were opposites, yet they were drawn to each other and couldn’t let the other go. Alex and Kate were fire and “magic” together just like these two authors writing together. I highly recommend this book, and I am excited to read book two! I requested and received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review that I am voluntarily leaving.

Loved It ❤️. I absolutely loved White Nights by Anna Zaires and Charmaine Pauls. I’ve been waiting to read this for awhile after reading a teaser it and it was worth the wait. It has a wonderful storyline and compelling characters. I read the book straight through in one sitting, I was so absorbed in it that I couldn’t stop. The chemistry between Alex and Kate was off the charts, it was hypnotizing and romantic. Alex is such an alpha male and Kate couldn’t help but be drawn to such a dominant and possessive man. Alex does everything he can to protect Kate from the danger stalking them. I can’t wait to read the next book so I can find out what happens next, hopefully they get their happily ever after. I recommend this book to everyone who wants to read a romance that has it all.

The Wait is Finally Over!!!. I received this book as an ARC. I’ve been waiting for this book ever since I read a teaser at the end of Twist Me many years ago! It definitely does not disappoint. I was so excited I started reading/skimming during my lunch……I had to go back and start the book so that I could get the full experience. The chemistry between Kate and Alex is scorching. I found Kate to be independent but not annoying…..although there is a lot of back and forth in her headspace. She is a modern hard working woman/nurse with a good tender heart. Alex is the typical possesive alpha male the authors in their own right are so good at writing about……although Alex could have been a tiny bit more darker given his circumstances. He definitely is bossy and very protective. I also get the feeling he is slightly confused with his feelings/lust for Kate, which gives him a vulnerability I don't usually see with these alpha characters, especially in the beginning. The story was really starting to pick up speed then suddenly…..see you in book 2! Arghhhhh….I love when the stories keep going but I hate the wait! Loved the combo writing between these 2 authors and can’t wait for book 2.

Addictive and Intriguing Book. White Nights by Anna Zaires and Charmaine Paul’s is an addictive and intriguing book which I could not put down until the last page. It is the dark romance between Katherine/Kate Morrell, an ER nurse who saves a man with a gun shot wound who interceded with his body to prevent an assault ssination attempt, and Alex Volkov, a wealthy Russian oligarch who avoids death due to the protection of his bodyguard. Alex and Kate are immediately drawn to each other in the ER which begins their turbulent relationship which places her into his world. The characters are well developed and the storyline has danger, suspense, drama and sizzling passion. The book has a cliffhanger but their story continues in Midnight Days. A Magnificent Story!!!!!. Oh My! I devoured this book. It has mystery, intrigue and so much more. It is a stunning story that has you on the edge of your seat. The writing is seamless as you don’t even realize that there are two authors. It is as if they are of one mind. I absolutely loved Kate and Alex. They have amazing chemistry that is felt throughout the story. Their personalities are beautiful as they are stubborn and caring all at the same time. Alex has the ruthless vibe at times that just adds to the mystique that makes him up. Kate is such an intelligent, kind, and loving soul. They blend together beautifully. It is a stunning story that is gripping and full of dark, dangerous, wonderful things. It will grab you and keep you invested to the point you will not want it to end. This is one fascinating, beautiful, and absolutely magnificent story that is an amazing must read.

Grabs You From the Start. Wow! This book grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let go until the very last word of the book. I love Alex and his contrasting hard and soft layers. Kate is this woman who seems to be living strictly by societal standards. She meets Alex and it is instant chemistry! I'm not going to give any spoilers but I think all of Alex's hard edges and Kate's too soft edges compliment each other very well. It leads to an amazing story for us lucky readers! Fantastic!. I love a dangerous, domineering and brooding bad guy and Alexander Volkov is all that and more. The intriguing storyline together with the red hot chemistry between Alex and Kate had me hooked from the start. There’s lots of mystery surrounding the Russian billionaire oligarch and I can’t wait to find out more. I loved it!

Couldn’t put it down, need more!!. “Wow” what a twisted but passionate story, obsessive love, all consuming and sensual, lots of angst and steamy scenes that we come to expect from these two talented authors. To say the story doesn’t pull you in would be an understatement, you find yourself holding your breath as you absorb the tension and wait on the edge of your seat to see how things will go!! Alex Volkov a Russian oligarch has his sights set on Katherine a ER nurse who assisted in saving his bodyguards life after taking a bullet that was meant for him, but who is Alex??and what is he hiding?? there are obviously more revaluations to come which are keeping us guessing!! Kate is sceptical with plenty of doubts and reservations, with Alex going to great lengths in an attempt to woo her which is definitely not a normal quality for him but Kate is very cautious, I did at times feel like giving her a push for her indecisiveness. When Alex receives a warning he knows Kates life is also in danger, so he takes action which leaves us with a huge cliffhanger. There are so many questions that require answers, can’t wait for book two. I was given this as an ARC by the authors in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was totally happy to provide.

If one is an inferno, then two is like looking into the sun. Kate Morrell has never met a man like Alex Volkov. From the moment the Emergency Room nurse first lays eyes on him she has felt consumed by his gaze. Alex prepositions Kate and begins a seductive pursuit that will have you wishing for your very own hot Russian oligarch! I first noticed the Anna-Charmaine Effect during their collaboration on Darker Than Love. Now it’s confirmed with White Nights. The two of them are more potent together. It’s as if their combined writing genius is greater than the mere sum of their entwined words.
