MUST READ!!!. Man!! I LOVED It Happened One Summer but this was by far the better of the two. I am so happy that this book was able to be adapted from characters in the previous book. Read in one day and it was definitely worth it. Normally epilogues aren’t page turners but this one had me crying happy tears late into the night. Definitely worth the buy!

Loved and will read again. Considering that this is a sequel to “It Happened One Summer” I thought i was just gonna read about what her sisters story but instead I was engulfed in the most relatable book about Hannah and Fox. Even though there were times were I was annoyed or had an eye roll moment it was still a great book and would read it again, wishing to get a physical copy for the next read.

Fun, amazing characters. Production assistant Hannah recommends the quaint fishing village where her late father grew up as the ideal location for the film she's working on. While there, she bunks with her totally platonic friend Fox, who's got a reputation as an incorrigible ladies' man. Which is fine, because she's trying to hook up with the film's director. She and Fox are just friends. Except for the super inconvenient sensual tension that neither one of them can seem to resist. And a drunken kiss they can't forget. Okay, fine, they have a thing for each other, but they live in different states and don't want to ruin their friendship. The longer Hannah stays, though, the more she and Fox want more from the relationship. Can they find a way to make it work? If you enjoyed IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER, you'll definitely want to read this book. And if you didn't read the first book in the series, go and read that one first. You don't have to, because this one stands alone, but the reading experiences are similar and you'll enjoy the series more if you read the books in order. Hannah and Fox are fun, amazing characters. They both underestimate themselves, and through their friendship, they come to realize they're already the person they aspire to be—they just need to believe in themselves. This book really nails the friends-to-lovers trope: the camaraderie, the sensual tension, the unwillingness to jeopardize one of the best relationships in their lives. This couple is well-matched, with complementary qualities but also a willingness to grow together. Plus, the sensuality between them is off the charts. There are also charming side characters that make the novel even more endearing. The audiobook narration added to the enjoyment of the story. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. I can’t stop re-reading this book!. Tessa has outdone herself with this book!

Really cute read.. I really enjoyed learning about Fox’s character arc. It wasn’t as spice as ‘It Happened One Summer’ however reading about how Fox pines after Hannah is pretty cute and makes for a great soft romance story. I would love to read more about the sisters because I love both of their characters.

So good. I just reread it for the third time, and I cried just as much as the first. Like violently sobbing in bed at 3 a.m. This book is so good and deserves so much. I personally liked it better than It Happened One Summer. The vibes are good. It makes me so sad and so happy and so sad. Read it. Now.

Couldnt get through it. I loved the first part of the book; this one just didnt do it for me.

Good. This book is decent but the story isn't relatable to me and i made the fatal mistake of comparing it to the first book. The first one was so good and i feel as though this one falls short in comparison.

Audiobook review. The audiobook version is awful, the narrator mispronounced so many words, I was more focused on how she said things than the story. Story was just ok.

and the sinker did the trick. a girl who sees the goodness inside of a boy who only sees himself as broken? just lovely.

I loved it. I couldn’t put the book down! I loved the first one and was just as excited to follow Hannah’s story. I couldn’t wait to find out how their “relationship” played out and wished the ending had more chapters to it. I needed to know more!

Already want to read it again!. Such a fun read! The characters are so well done! This book is even better than the first one. I literally stayed up all night! Could not put it down!

Such a great love story. I liked It Happened One Summer, but I LOVED Hook, Line, and Sinker!! It was such a good, slow, beautiful love story that had me wrapped in it and unable to put it down. I have to admit, I was reluctant to read it, and kept putting it off, because often the sequels of these romance novels aren’t as good. But I was so pleasantly surprised. Team Hannah and Fox!!

Just as good as the first.. Loved this sequel. It was the perfect addition to the story to read about Hannah and Fox’s love story. Their love was different than Brendan and pipers but still so undeniable. The character development was a little predictable but still special. The ending being so many years in the future was so sweet and rounded it out perfectly.

It’s alright…. Definitely not her one of her best ones… I had to keep putting this one away to go reread some of her other stories for the passion and plot. Then I got all of the alerts about this being a quick Netflix romcom and that’s when it made sense these two stories are quick throw aways. Amazing for Netflix (it’s Tessa Bailey duh) but for the price and what this author has to offer with their other stories? Not worth it. I would pick up one of the alpha stories or runaway girl before this. Seriously. It. Was. Slow. As. F$*/?)@

4.5 Stars!. Can I just jump straight to the epilogue and tell you that it totally made me swoon??? Seriously, every romance novel should end on a note like this one did. All the struggle this couple went through to get that ending was so worth it. Fox and Hannah have a friends to lovers story that was also a slow burn. You can see that they both are attracted to each other, and they both have some obstacles standing in their way. Fox's was a bit of a surprise for me. He's the ultimate good looking guy who doesn't have to try for attention. He gets it with his looks alone. You'd think that would be what every guy wants, but not Fox. We got a good look into how even being extremely good looking can have a downside to it. Hannah put her issues perfectly in this book. She see's herself as the supporting actress in life, never the leading lady. What she doesn't know is that to Fox, she is the leading lady. I adored Fox and Hannah's friendship. It was a great foundation to building more between them. I think it's also why I loved that epilogue so much. Great read!

Best in the two book series. I’ve read this back to back 4 times. I do recommend reading “It Happened One Summer” the first book in the series first. Although, I didnt do this and read this as a stand alone first. I believe it is amazing both ways, but the first book has a bonus chapter that totally adds to the experience of the book. Absolutely in love this these two books together. Gah! Swooning each time I read this book.

IHOS was better!. I did not enjoy this story as much as Hannah’s and Brendan’s, but I still love Tessa!!

4 Stars!. 4 Stars! This is book 2 in the ‘Bellinger Sisters’ series and can be read as a standalone. I missed book 1 and would’ve liked to know how the main characters met and got their nicknames but it wasn’t anything I absolutely needed to know before reading this one. This was a really cute read. However, I couldn’t really get into the book because I thought the main male character, Fox, had stupid hang ups about relationships. I kept thinking “seriously? Get over it already man!” and I couldn’t get past that. I kept waiting for Hannah, the main female, to say something to that extent but she has the patience of a saint! Ha! Still an entertaining book though. *I received this book at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.*

Must get!. Loved! I was so excited that there was a sequel to the 1st book. I loved it and can’t wait to read more!! Hopefully Foc and the whole gang will make an appearance

Great start, ok middle, mushy end. I did enjoy this book. It absolutely is not as good as the first book in my opinion. I didn’t particularly like quite how cheesy it was at the end or how the main characters are SO self deprecating (almost to an annoying amount). But it’s a sweet story nonetheless.
