Unsung Requiem by C. L. Stone Book Summary
Victor Morgan's entire life has been in the limelight. Groomed by his fierce mother as a piano prodigy, intent on using him to build a legacy for the Morgan name.
But legacies require the utmost in care. Any little disaster can cause a mountain of problems.
After a 17th birthday party ends in catastrophe, a fight with his parents sends Victor out into the world for the first time on his own. With his Academy team and Sang by his side, it's everything he's wanted for years. It's his time to get out from under his parents' oppressive control and finally be himself.
But Victor is a local celebrity in the Charleston community. His name and face have been everywhere. His every move is noticed. When his actions lead to the risk of a very public exposure of himself and his team, including thwarting Sang's chances at remaining a Ghost Bird, Victor realizes the life his mother built may jeopardize everything. The Morgan name may just be his downfall.
There may be no escape. The only way to save Sang and his team might be to give up what he really wants more than anything: to finally be the real Victor Morgan.

not really excited or in enjoyable. wish that the author would put more info on about what has happened to the characters since we last heard them
awesome!. it was over too soon, canāt wait for the next book
Unsung Requiem. Until this book, I would have given a 5-star rating on them all. Felt this book had behaviors that were outside the norm for their characters. I get that maybe the author is trying to mature them, however the timeline on the entire series hasnāt even been a full school year. Also, we are having to wait entirely too long for the next books to be released. At the rate these are going, it will be over 20 years to get to book 20 in the series.
Love this book. I always get sucked in reading these books! I can see it all happening in my head. I canāt wait to see what happens next!
Victor. My only real complaint for this book is their odd character change. The two dumb things that Victor did in this book, and his carelessness just feels so out of character. Not to mention, Volto feels really shoved in. I was also expecting more drama from Victorās celebrity status in Charlestons too but the only problem was caused by that one weird librarian guy.
Love thisā¦. Love love this book as always you kept me on the edge of my seat till the endā¦.thank you it was so worth the wait!!!
3/5. I love this series but for some reason it feels like this book was a little disconnected from the others. I felt like a few of the characters didnāt act like themselves.
Perfect. This book has me captivated and locked in š and of course itās about my favorite boy out of the ghost bird series and he steals my heart even more in the book. The twist and turns are just getting bigger and bigger from here on out.
Disconnected. It didnāt feel right! What happened to the nicknames and fun times? Not what I was hoping for. I felt it differed to much from the series.
Oh victor. I think any other character would have made this book better. To me heās the least compelling character. Iāve read through these books a few times and this one was disappointing. Iām excited for what to come! Hopefully some more Nathan and North stuff.
Not the Same. Iāve followed CL Stone since I found her back in college, but this book seems different. A lot of the characters do things that donāt seem to fit them and overall it felt like the story didnāt move that much in the overall theme of things.
Slightly disconnected. Practically everything in Victorās POV was fantastic and exactly what I would expect for his character. Some things though, especially in Sangās POV, are just off. Like others, I was missing the cutesy nicknames and whatnot. Iām not going to harass the author though, I thought the book was worth the wait and Iām already checking often to see if thereās news about book 14!
Somethingsā¦ Off. I loveee this book series but this one seemed a littleā¦ off. The characters weāre doing things that I wouldnāt expect. And not in a good way. I donāt know if it was because the time between the books was extremely long and the author lost her flow or what it was but it wasnāt bad but it wasnāt as amazing as the other books
Felt like a different author. Iāve been reading this series for longer than I care to admit. Before this book I was frustrated by the timeline of the books but each new book was so great that I just ignored that it was taking so long to get them. Until this book. Suddenly Sang can shower, nicknames are gone, itās like this book was written by someone who wasnāt the author. Iām not sure whatās going on, but I think Iāll just be waiting for the series to be completed before buying anymore of these books. Super unfortunate as the series showed so much promise in the beginning.

š. Loved this book and the how Victor and Sang got through all that. I am hanging off of my chair wanting to know who the real Volto is! Iām dying for more Owen and Sang moments, never realized how much I hang onto all of those sweet moments.
Welcome Back The Academy Series. It has been a while since the last book, but this one had reminded me about why I loved the series so much. They guys all have their moment to shine and warm Sangās (any my own) heart. Iām so glad I have another Academy book to reread 20 more times! The way C L Stone writes can make your stomach turn with nerves put you on the edge of your seat for a whole chapter or two and then give you a small time to settle down with some amazing, toe curling, fluff before youāre back on the edge again. This book had a looooot of that. I both love and hate it. So just be prepared for that.
Unputdownable. Anticipation is not in my genetic makeup! I devoured this in one day and now have to wait for my next fix. Fantastic read with Victor getting his much needed story displayed for us Academy junkies. Every time I believe I couldnāt love the characters more Iām proven wrong. š¤š»
Love it please bring out the new one ASAP!. Really love this series, the characters and plot lines are fantastic with many twists and turns. I know Covid has caused quite a few setbacks but I really really wish we could get a new book soon!!
