My Opinion. Mr Patterson, I have read many of your books and enjoyed them all, but this one was a disappoint. I read it because I was eager to see what you and Miss Dolly, you two would do together. I have never written a review so y’all can take this with a grain of salt. It was readable and cost enough. I have never paid that much for a book, but I am healing from a broken neck and don’t know how to shop around. It just wasn’t packed with the usual excitement of what the hero or heroine was experiencing and was appalled by the harsh beatings Rose got by the hired hooligans, but seemed to get over them without much adieu by the other characters. Great read-glimpses of Nashville.. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a feel-good story mixed with lots of suspense. An easy read, I would definitely recommend this book.

Five Stars are not enough !. From the very first page, this book captured me and held me to the very last end. Hope prevails. I highly recommend this to everyone…but I will definitely ‘gift’ it to a few of my dearest friends.

Worth reading! A real page turner!. Being a Nashville transplant, I thought it was only fair to check out this book. Especially since it’s coauthored by the legend herself Ms. Dolly Parton. And I gotta say, I am very impressed. Engaging story, interesting characters and a great mystery that will keep readers guessing until the big reveal happens. My only complaint is that I thought the ending was a bit weak and anticlimactic. But other than that it’s worth checking out! If you like country music with a thrilling storyline, give Run, Rose, Run a read!

Come on, really?. The storyline should have had an ending that included Rose saving her sisters!

Worth the Money…... I am a big Dolly Parton fanatic, and have been wanting to read this book every since it has come out. To me the book was worth the money that I paid for it, and it kept me wanting to read more and more of it every time I world start reading it. I would hope that there you be a second part to this book so I can see how Ethan and AliceLee aka Rose goes in life.

Loved the story!. It was apparent what was contributed by Dolly Parton with the music but the story was a good collaboration. It was an easy read. The only complaint is that the back story could have been more in depth and I felt the story could have continued a few more chapters.

Run Rose Run. Sometimes heart stopping, sometimes frightening book about an exceptionally gifted country singer who brings audiences joy and hope. She shows determination to overcome a cruel family and blossom with her song writing and singing.

Wanted to love it but didn’t. The book just didn’t grab me. I love Dolly and James but this one was just ok. I finished it but it wasn’t a page turner.

Run Rose Run. Could have been a great book- but I really don’t like it when the story is 90% of the book and then the author creates and tell the ending in last 2 chapters, total disservice to the book.

We’ll Written, but the story goes nowhere. I found myself staying up to continue reading, but ultimately was disappointed as the story line was predictable and undeveloped.

It was good but..... Lately it seems that all of the books I read rush the ending and it was no different here. I feel left hanging which is very unsatisfying.

Wow! Story is Riveting, characters fully developed!. I don’t review many books,but with this one,I had to comment! Terrific character development, secrets woven throughout , all the characters try to keep their secrets from each other, reader is spellbound throughout! I read it in one sitting- it’s 4am, started it 7 hours ago. Tried to stop,tried to sleep,but the strong pull of the complex characters called me back. It’s a solid 5 stars!
