Roller coaster ride. So many ups and downs! Really wanted to shake some sense in Felicity but thankfully she got her head out the clouds and went after what she wanted. Great story!!

Super boring. I read the first 2 books and against my better judgment bought the 3rd please stop before I did! I dislike whiny characters and the build wasn’t there! A heart wrenching second chance love story!. Another amazing read from Penelope!! As always, she brings us a story that packs all the emotional punches, and one heck of a first meeting. Leo was charmy and swoony and every girl's fantasy! Felicity was grounded and knew exactly what she wanted to accomplish in life. Her backstory was touching and I loved how far she's come in her young life, despite how she grew up and the challenges she had faced. Leo and Felicity had an instant attraction to each other but this story is a slow burn, until these two just can't resist anymore. And once that happens, Penelope certainly wrote some smoking hot love scenes! I really loved two particular secondary characters, two steadfast people that wholly supported Leo and Felicity. I really was not prepared for the surprise twist that happens in the second half of the story, it really gave my heart a jolt. This story will definitely have you feeling a plethora of emotions. I laughed, I teared up, I felt angst, worry and fear, sadness and then finally, hope again. I did struggle a bit to feel an emotional connection to the characters, but overall, Penelope once again knocks it out of the park with this story. Ladies are going to fall all over Leo with his dashing good looks and British accent. And more than a few will be chasing after that cheeky cousin of his, Sigmund! I really hope we see Sigmund get his own story in the future, as he really was a character that I grew to love.

Wowzer hoooottttt!. This book was sooo unique! I loved this plot. Writing was phenomenal. Felicity was awesome! Imagine looking out over the bay and seeing all holy hotness showering! Swoon *fans self* The banter was excellent. I actually loved the cousin and hope to see more of him. And. I loved how Leo loved Felicity! Soooo good! I completely recommend!!!!

An incredible story!. All. The. Stars. The Aristocrat is the latest stand-alone novel by Penelope Ward. All I can say is WOW! This is hands down my favorite book by Ms. Ward. She brought her a-game with this story. Between all of the emotions you feel while reading and the incredible characters, I couldn’t put it down. Without giving too much away, Felicity and Leo were two realistic characters who stole my heart from the very beginning of the story. Their connection was EVERYTHING! Leo stole the show with his huge heart and Felicity was sweet and quirky. But together- there were fireworks flying off the pages. Ms. Ward wrote a phenomenal story. Days after finishing, I am still thinking about these characters. I loved every part and I highly recommend reading it!

Just, Wow. This was an emotionally powerful read. I had to put it down at one point and pick up after a bit. When Felicity comes home for the summer she never expects to find Leo, or have the most intense and searing relationship of her life. But Leo has family obligations that would crush Felicity if she joined him in his life, so they vow to stay together for the summer and let go. But that’s so very much harder to say than do, and the reality of separation is heart wrenching. Fate intervenes in the form of a letter, but will it be kind to them?

Gave me full range of emotions. I’ve read a couple of P. Ward’s books and they have followed the fell in love, separated, then reunited scenario. Which comes with ups and downs. If you are up for that then this is a great book.

P. Ward strikes again. I always look forward to Penelope’s books. A “ can’t live without you” love story. Love always finding its way back, funny and sexy. Can’t wait for another story.

So worth the read!. Another fantastic story by Penelope Ward. The angst is real in this one. Leo is absolutely swoon worthy. Leo and Felicity’s chemistry is on fire! You will go through a gamut of feelings in this beautiful yet heartbreaking storyline. It’s definitely worth the read.

I never wanted this story to end!. Felicity and Leo have an amazing love story. They have a lot going against them, as Felicity is a foster child that is well trained in protecting her heart. Leo is an aristocrat that must protect the family name. The love is instant and believable, but guarded because they have limited time. Leo’s cousin Sigmund and Felicity’s caregiver Ms. Angelini have great advice, as does Leo’s precious Nan. All these characters come together to create an outstanding story full of life lessons and adoration.

Read it in one day!!. Loved it! Different than anything I have read recently.

Breathtakingly Beautiful. A beautiful slow burn romance. This is everything I enjoy in a good story and why I love reading romance. The avalanche of emotions, the banter , giggles and insane chemistry. Felicity and Leo captivated me from the very first moment I met these two and I was hooked to their story. Penelope has penned a masterpiece with this heartfelt and heartwarming story. The story was eloquently written with so much feels . I am really hoping and would humbly request Penelope to consider writing Sig story and give us his story. He just added spark and light to this story and I am sure there is so much more to him than meet the eyes. A beautiful and well written story which spans over few years and two continents. I don’t think I can put into words how much I loved this book. I finished this book last night and am already having major book hangover. Definitely a must read!

Epic. This is a story requiring at least a box of Kleenex. You will get wrapped up in it and it is such a beautiful story!

Great love story. I wish I could have connected more with Felicity as a main character. That’s the only thing I struggled with but the story was beautiful.

Love this sweet and steamy romance!. Kuddos to the author for such an original, fun storyline in The Aristocrat! I love when couples meet by chance and Leo and Felicity’s meet cute is epic! This book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. You will laugh, cry, sigh, swoon, and cheer as these two navigate their relationship over the years as they become fast friends, then lovers, then estranged, to finding each other once again. I love how the book is set on the sea coast of Rhode Island, a place I visit often as my youngest daughter lives there. I was just in Narragansett two weeks ago and just love the natural beauty of the landscape, upscale beach towns and community, and the many rivers, streams, and ocean. Felicity Dunleavy is a survivor with a positive attitude and non-judgmental, caring heart. She attended an Ivy League college and is pursing her law degree at Drexel in Philadelphia in the Fall. I loved her close relationship with her foster mom, Eloise Angelini, and how special they were to one another. She returned home to spend time with Mrs. Angelini before her classes start, and little did she know how it would be the summer that would rock her world. Sir Leo Covington, 28, is well aware of the expectations of his lineage as the only child of a Duke. Tradition dictates that he will become the seventh Duke of Westfordshire once his father passes, and be responsible for the family’s vast holdings and real estate. He is accepting of his fate, and is on holiday/vacation in the USA with his cousin, Sigmund, who was a hoot, for one last hoorah. It is while on their last stop in New England that he is besotted with the red-headed beauty he sees from across the lake. Leo was the perfect book boyfriend. He fell hard and fast and took his time to get to know Felicity before they could no longer deny their feelings and act on their attraction which was super steamy. I loved how she treated him like a regular person, being unfamiliar with the fanfare of being with a “royal,” and how genuine, open and honest they were. I loved all of their dates and moments together–from food shopping and cooking to taking a boat ride, the special gift he bought her, and just hanging out at home. They just wanted to enjoy their moments together and live in their bubble before it pops. They knew from the start their relationship was on a time limit as they were both committed to responsibilities an ocean apart, and this book was filled with lots of angst and drama in addition to many laugh-out-loud moments and sexy times. My only wish is that Felicity would have been more open about her feelings, and responded to him when he was making an effort. But then the book may not have unfolded the way it did, which was the author’s intention, with a perfect ending to their love story. He loved her so completely and unconditionally, and I felt it on every page. I especially loved how he cherished her and made her feel beautiful, when she often felt shy and quirky, with very few friends. Sigmund Benedictus (Leo's cousin and annoying but witty sidekick) really made me laugh, and what a sad surprise and turn of events for him in the end. Hoping Sig finds love too.

A Heartbreaker. Wow, laughs and tears…this was not what I expected. Nonetheless, it was great! These 2 tried their best to fight their attractions, but they finally gave in. After years of no HEA, they reconnected (won’t tell you how or the results). Still…these two were meant to be. I hated the circumstances in how they reconnected, but in actuality you really can’t fight what was meant to be. A bonus was Sig…he was human after all.

All the feels. The Aristocrat and Leo Covington have jumped to the top of my best reads and best book boyfriends, this was one of those reads that I knew from the first few pages that the story and the characters were going to stay with me long after the final words had been read. The blurb was intriguing but Leo Covington and Felicity Dunleavy’s journey was so much more than I could ever have expected . This is one of those romances that the characters grow as their story unfolds, it’s about having a connection that time will never tear apart, it’s about love, it’s about soul mates and more importantly it’s about fate putting you in the right place at the right time as well at the wrong place at the wrong time. I don’t want to write a review that’s full of spoilers because this romance needs to be read with no preconceived ideas, you need to pick this book up without a hint of what’s going to happen to get the best from this wonderful story. So I guess all I need to say is, this book has it all, it’s entertaining, it’s emotional, it has wonderful characters that you will fall love with and it’s a book you won’t be able to put down so please one click this must read. Great Jon Ms Ward another outstanding read.

Sheer brilliance! 5 stars plus!. 5 stars plus I bow down to the sheer brilliance of Ms Ward for writing such a compelling, slow burn romance! This book blew me away. In the words, the characters! The moments shared, the conversations had and the absolute beautiful love story that could possibly stand the test of time. It was a story that I really could not put down. It was incredibly heartfelt! I felt so many emotions throughout the whole book and its a definite favourite read for me. I truly admired Felicity and her guarded demeanour. When shes caught looking through the binoculars at two men in the house across the bay, needless to say when they meet, fireworks! Leo and his cousin Sig are British and renting the house for the summer. I loved the banter, the way Sig has a knack for saying rather funny inappropriate things….who doesn’t want someone in their life like that?! Leo and Felicity strike up a friendship and its the way they are with each other, with the swoony way Leo is, just made my heart so happy. Coming from different countries certainly causes a conundrum though and honestly I wondered which way the book would go. Finally, I have to say JUST READ IT! Its amazing and I highly recommend you put it high on your tbr list.

Outstanding. I have a new book book boyfriend, I fell hard for Leo Covington, what a swoon worthy man he is. He ticked all the boxes for me and from the first chapter I was hooked in this friends to lovers story. When I read the blurb for this book I knew that this was doing to be an entertaining read. From the moment their eyes meet, Leo and Felicity Dunleavy had a connection that could not be broken, no matter how far apart they are. They fell in love but circumstances, commitments and fate pulled them apart. For Felicity, Leo is the one who got away and when five years later she receives a letter she is shocked; she has never forgotten him and the love that they shared for a brief time. The characters were easy to relate to and I loved them both as well as secondary character of Sigmund “Sig” Benedictus, who I adored. Penelope Ward has delivered another steamy, angsty, emotional and well written story that ticked all the boxes for me.
