My new favorite book. Twists and turns, a complex plot with complex characters, you never know what is going to happen next! The anguish and love…to say this book is amazing is an understatement.

Wow. After reading some negative reviews I still chose to read the story and get my own opinion. And I loved it! There wasn’t as much sex scenes as hades and Persephone and the story line was great! Please book 2 hurry !

Well written. Even though, I felt I was steps ahead of the plot (because it kind of became obvious as you read), the book is well written and has some of the most romantic one liners and the MMC is *chef’s kiss*. Definitely will be reading the next book, because I think the surprises and twists will unfold there.

Money wasted.. More smut than anything else. Story line was rushed and lacked depth. I was not impressed.

Such an amazing story. I could not stop reading this the second I got it. Passionate, original, and captivating. They say that a hero may love but will always pick the greater good. But a villain will bring the whole world to it’s knees for that which they love.

Great read. Great story, definitely a page turner. Already pre ordered the next book, excited for it to come out!

King of Battle and Blood. I loved this book! It had me captivated for sure. It checked all my boxes: adventure, hierarchies, a strong female main character, alpha male, vampires, and SPICE!

Spicy. Really disliked the beginning of the book. The narrative/dialogue just felt shallow and cheesy but around middle to end the plot improves and there’s better character development.

Smut at its finest. Smut + vampires. Need I say anything more??

I couldn’t stop reading.. I finished this in two days then had my soul crushed to find out the next book isn’t out for 8 more months. I guess I’ll just go read all her other series while I wait.

More please. Now. <3. I have be devouring supernatural romance books for close to 6 months. Of the 30+ books I have read, these 2 books ranks at the top. I adore the characters and their gradual development and growth. I also am happy that there is little filler content as many authors use, like when other authors describe every room and costume ad nauseam at every opportunity. Some authors fluff for page count, not St. Clair. She is my new favorite author.

🔥Great Experience 🔥. I consumed both of these books in a 36 hour haze. I really appreciate that the protagonist is a relatable mid twenties strong independent woman. There is a perfect balance between sexy scenes and plot.

Enemies to Star Lit Lovers. I could not put this book down. The swirl of taunting and mystery, secrets to be unfolded, and truths to be awoken. The sensual tension and release was breath-taking. I wasted no time in Pre-Ordering the next book.

Smut on Steroids. If you like a healthy dose of smut, then you’ll certainly get it here. I’m not complaining, that’s my favorite part honestly; however, some of the character building is not as in-depth as I normally like (i.e. Adrian could have been fleshed out sooooo much more). Personally, I love a strong and powerful heroine, and you certainly see that within Isolde. My problem is that the author has somehow made her strong yet insolent?? She’s quick tempered and mildly immature which is a HUGE turn off for me, especially coming from the character narrating the story. I enjoyed the plot and the overall gist of the story, and I feel if the author had focused a bit more on refining those details then this review would be entirely different. Another thing to mention is that the story moves rather quickly, and there are moments where Isolde switches between the past and present without any sort of warning or transition in the text to indicate that, so it takes a minute and some backtracking to realize what’s happened. All in all, if you’re looking for a quick romance with a fairly decent plot, this would be a good choice. I don’t feel this one necessarily warrants a second book though.

Interesting concept. 3.5/5 stars. This book was a fun read that kept me entertained a majority of the time! That being said, it’s almost a rehash of other popular new adult books at the moment with predictable twists and an unsatisfying end that doesn’t make me eager for a second book. I wouldn’t recommend this book over something like Blood and Ash, for example, but if you enjoy books such as that, this is good! I will say that there is a lot (like a lot) of sex in this book. Enough that I skim read a lot of it towards the end as it became repetitive.

The first... The first few chapters started out really inviting. Then as the book proceeded the character development was rushed as well as the story line. Kind of disappointing. It has great potential.

Meh. Lots of typos. Whole storyline felt rushed, no time to really get to know any of the side characters. Didn’t inspire any kind of grand emotion the whole time I read it. Just meh.

Surprisingly good. I went into this book, not knowing exactly what to expect, but I did see some reviews and they said that the writing style is very captivating in the world building really aids with your imagination so I gave the book a shot and I absolutely love it now I’m on to book two

DEVOURED 🖤. I could not put this book down! The pull between the two MCs is so undeniable. Can’t wait to see where this serious goes!

Good reads. Really good. I loved the relationship between Isolde and Adrian even when she was driving me crazy with her internal struggles. The spice is great and the pace of the story is good, even if the end was a bit rushed

A must read: St. Clair has grown and it’s awesome!. I had read the hades and persephone series and loved it, but found that by the third book i thought okay we get it they have sex a lot. This pairing is amazing because we focus on other things, the emotions are deeper and it seems so sincere. Truly one of my new favorites

Scarlett does it again... The ability to vault someone into a new world and fall in love with characters in a matter of a couple chapters is this girls specialty. This was a quick read but no emotion or experience was missed. I cannot wait for the next book(s) in this world.

Good. Storyline could’ve been better, it was an easy read. Hopefully the second book is better.

Absolutely awful. Really liked the concept, but the delivery was absolute garbage. The writing was terrible, the story line super rushed and just overall bad. I can’t even say the smut was good. Don’t waste your time.

Chefs kiss. The right amount of spice, the right amount of build up to the romance for me- not too drawn out or towards the end of the book. It also had a strong female lead that was more than tolerable (not annoying or too dumb that it made the plot about her not understanding) this FMC quickly caught up to what was happening and I was THANKFUL for it. I know I’ll be rereading this one in the future, and that says a lot.

Amazing. Page turner

Anna Maria The Traitor. Honestly it was a good book but I think Anna is the spy she know from the start and was the only one who kept pushing Isolde to Adrian for the Bloodletting like with the jasmine and the grotto. It really makes sense if you read it.

Enemies to lovers. Loved it!!

Superficially Sexy. The plot had an incredible potential to tell a fantastic story! By halfway through the book though, I was struggling with the inconsistencies between characters’ thoughts/actions and the jumps between scenes that left the chapters feeling disjointed. It was entertaining until the halfway point and then I found myself skipping pages to reach the end faster.

Great new series. This is the start of what is sure to be an amazing trilogy from Scarlett! Vampires, arranged marriages, enemies to lovers, it’s got it all!

First book that I read from this author. Quick read. It is the first book I read from this author and while it is entertaining, I didn’t find it amazing.

Fastest I have ever read a book!. This is probably the best book I’ve ever read. Not only is it filled with passion but so many twists and turns. It truly keeps you on your toes and wondering what’s next. I am already starting the next book and I’m really hoping for a third! The author is incredible, I’ve never found someone who has the ability to keep me wanting more to the point I just can’t put the book down. Highly recommend!

Read this NOW. I read this in 2 days and then re-read it immediately after. Isolde and Adrian have amazing chemistry and they keep you from putting this book down. It’s sexy and sweet all in one!

A lot of holes, frustrating characters. Meh. It was okay. The story has the potential to be a good one but in my opinion it wasn’t executed very well. A lot of the Dialogue between the characters missed key questions which go unanswered. It had some rushed, frustrating scenes. It was okaaay but could have been great and it wasn’t sadly. For me this is a knock off of “From Blood & Ash”. And not as good. I personally won’t be buying the follow up.

Couldn’t finish. I found the prose really jarring and the speech odd but that’s just me

King of battle and blood. It has been a while since I have read a fantasy book, but I do enjoy them. This is the first in a series and the second book isn’t out yet, but I think I will read it when it comes out. Being the first book there was a lot of world building and the setting up of the storyline. So a lot of unanswered questions I am sure will be developed more as the series goes on. Single POV, med spice, 18+
