Good but not her best. At this point I would read anything by Abby Jiminez, but I have to say this one just didn’t quite do it for me! Maybe part of it was that as a doctor in my thirties I was so sad about how all the characters in health care in this book (except maybe Bri) are so shallow and portrayed as rich and soulless. Spoiler alert: most of us are broke and just trying to remember to eat three meals a day between life and our jobs! Also i felt the happy ever after in this book was just a little too fantasy. Though I admire Abby’s ability to juxtapose the magic of the town and of falling in love with real world challenges like abusive relationships. And I love when she ties in her prior characters !

Juvenile and predictable. Trigger warning- strong themes of emotional and physical abuse. I did really enjoy Alexis & Daniel’s relationship but there was an excessive amount of constant comparison of Alexis’s ex to Daniel all the time. It was extremely predictable as well. Felt really drawn out and the filled in space was used for more “my ex was this and Daniel is so this…” type. It felt quite juvenile. I enjoyed parts but found myself bored and speed reading just to get it over with and have my predictions all confirmed. Wouldn’t recommend honestly, not bad if you already have the book but I wouldn’t purchase it again.

Abby does it again!. Absolutely amazing! Every time I think there’s no possible way she can top the last book and every time she proves me wrong. I adored this book! I’d give it 10,000 stars if I could.

Loved. Gosh I loved Daniel and the way he took care of Alexis. Great story.

Favorite book this year. Just lovely.

Lovely book. And so much fun, too, especially for me, a part-time Minneapolis resident who spent ten years of her life in small-town Minnesota. Even the improbably magical romantic parts are fun, because this book is actually about the improbable magic of romance. It’s a contemporary take on the old trope of royalty finding true love outside the rigid boundaries of the princess role. If you love “The Princess Bride” (and I do), you’ll be a sucker for this.

Good but …. The frustration of how weak the woman is when it came to her parents will send you over the edge. It’s a good book don’t get me wrong but it can be very annoying and frustrating.

Pure magic!. A must read! I have devoured all of Abby’s books in less than a week. Please keep writing you are an absolute genius!!

You will love this one!. An enchanting book that does not shy away from real life issues. This story will stay with me always.

Excellent feel good read. The story line is a bit predictable, as are all romance novels. But the characters all have really good depth to them. The struggles that each character goes thru all feel very real and relatable, even if the storyline is superficial. All in all, it was a good read that left me feeling happy!

Magical read. I loved these characters and this story so much. Couldn’t stop reading it.

Not relatable. I have loved Abby’s previous books. I struggle to like Alexis as she has been created in this book. I think an integral part of a rom-com is being able to relate to the characters in some way, and I can’t. There’s a lot of whining about being too rich and sophisticated to the point I find it a bit offensive. There are definite doses of humor and I like the scenes in Wakan, but my high hopes for this book have been disappointed.

Awesome. Best book ever!!! You will not be disappointed and you will not want to stop reading!
