Needs so much work. Oh gosh. Where to begin? This book needs so much work. It starts off okay. I loved how it got right to the action. But that should have forewarned me that there would be zero development. Seriously, plot/story development was super lacking. I found myself confused half the time with what was happening. Also, there were no conversations. After Lana and Seth mare the first time, she needs a break from him. Why? We never find out and they never talk about it. And there’s more than just that. But after their story wraps up fast and easy (again, no development), we jump to Esme and Denver. Esme, aka Em or Ems (why that nickname, we don’t know. Makes no sense) and Denver are mated and he only finds out after she’s been kidnapped and left naked so she isn’t wearing her protective charms. He’s obsessed. But they jump to some hearing with the alpha where they are told that first blood is needed. I had no clue what they were talking about. Why? Because this author doesn’t like to develop or explain a thing. She obvi needs a professional editor. Anyway, first blood is apparently Esme’s virginity. Okay. Whatevs. Fine. It’s obvi Denver that will do it. And I do mean do it. Because the entire scene that follows is basically rape. It doesn’t read like a love scene at all. It’s not sexy. It’s gross. So why did I keep reading? Well, heck if I know. I skimmed the rest. And surprise surprise, they never have a conversation. Basically “the past is the past, let’s be together “ and that’s it. This is years after he has called her a big girl over and over and talked about how he doesn’t like them. Suddenly all that just doesn’t matter. There’s more. So much more. But wow. This really is a hot mess. That said, I think there’s potential. But a professional editor is a must. This author needs someone to point out all the plot issues and where her characters need development and conversations.

Intriguing. It was an intriguing story with interesting characters plus the sex was hot. The plot kept me interested from beginning to end. Lana and Seth are exciting!. This was a great read from Christa Wick! It had been too long since I had read one of her PNR stories. It had all the feels! Danger, Desire, exciting adventure and everlasting love. Romance in all the right ways. I love the theory of two souls that find each other in numerous lives. Chemistry so hot it could melt the grout off your bathroom tiles! An Amazing HEA is always great! I highly recommend this great story. I I reviewed a book copy of this book via BookSprout.

Totally Enjoyable Read. I don’t read many Fantasy/PNR/Shifters genre. However when I do, the book has to really grab my attention. Or just has to be an author I like. Like Christa Wick’s artistry. And wow, talk about MATE. This is how you begin a new series. Yes, there’s twists and some real hard and sexy turns. Both couples have a stake in this series and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where this leads. A thrilling book!. Two stories, artfully entwined. I love seeing Lana become more aware of her previously hidden talents. She sure does give Seth a hard time, though. Esme, her friend and mentor, has her own secrets, and her own mate troubles. Watching these two powerful women work through their relationship issues is vastly entertaining. The evil Hunters and their elusive leader are a constant danger to shifters everywhere. Never a dull moment!

lost. I read this book last year I think it was I loved it unfortunately it went missing lol I thought I accidentally deleted it couldn’t find it because I didn’t know the name luckily managed to find it again would highly recommend this book and i can finally read it again

Not something I usually read but I couldn’t put it down. I read a wide range of genres but there are so many that I in truth I simply follow authors and occasionally try new authors I do not include witches in novels that I look for but I have read other books by Christa Wick and continue to be surprised that once I start to read the book, the author keeps me hooked with a great story and characters. Looks like I need to adjust my favourite author list and start to see what genres this author takes me to.
