Superb!. Delightful, engaging story and characters. I could not put this book down!

Fabulous. I loved this book on so many levels- aging, friendships, children, loss, animal intelligence, mystery. It’s clever and a page turner.

Heartwarming. This is a heartwarming story and it’s just what I needed. You will literally cheer on the plot to bring Tova and Cameron together and when it is all over tyou will want to give a big hug to a giant pacific octopus! Remarkably Bright Creatures is remarkably enchanting.

REMARKABLY BRIGHT CREATURES. So entertaining! I thoroughly enjoyed each of the characters. I certainly identified with Tova, being a woman of a certain age: I loved her spunk and persistence, and kindness. The creative way the author managed to help Cameron, Avery and Marcellus find their ways home was great fun. I loved this first novel and look forward to more.

Plow through the slow beginning until the quirky characters will grab you and not let go. This book starts slowly. But if you persevere you will be rewarded with a cast of lovable, well-drawn characters who will grab your heart. The climax was so riveting I couldn’t put the book down until it was finished and left me with tears of joy.

Just wonderful. What a great book! I just loved how all the storylines came together and Tova was a gem.

Skeptical then captivating. It was a slow start for me, but I was completely wrapped at the end. I loved the characters and felt connected to them, they felt very tangible. Quite a different concept and read! It was a sweet story.

Story that shouldn’t work but does. This is a book that shouldn’t work, but it does. Writers have anthropomorphized dogs, cats, perhaps the occasional horse. But an octopus? As a narrator? We know that they are very intelligent. To go with this octopus tale is a human story so sweet that it alone can hold the reader’s interest. Loved this book. Still not sure why

You must read this book - it’s amazing!. What a wonderful story. This is a definite 5 stars and a must read. As a diver and a lover of all creatures I just adore the point of views in this book. And what a great story! Thank you for writing this!!! It will forever be in my bookshelf!

Couldn’t Put it Down. This was the best book I’ve ever read. I couldn’t put it down. I was shocked when I realized this was the first book she ever wrote. I can’t wait for the next one.

I have always been. Fascinated by intelligent animals especially octopuses. But 21 dollars is too steep for some of us.

Absurdly, realistic yet delightful. Refreshingly different. A great view point of the northwest. I highly recommend it. Without giving away the plot, the characters are fully realized, even the sealift.

Heartwarming. I genuinely enjoyed this book. The author did a great job intertwining what seemed to be two completely different storylines and what came together was nothing short of compelling. I enjoyed reading the evolution of each character and never once did I imagine someone could give so much charm to an octopus and yet I was very much enamored by the sweet creature. It’s a great read, especially if you’re looking for something light and sweet.
