Game of crones. Wonderful book! Finished in one day, couldn’t put it down.

Wonderful edition to series.. Another wonderful edition to this series. This one has some action, but most of this is character growth. Something that we needed to see, and I am glad we did. Claire is a character that I truly feel her soul. As someone about 60, I know what pains feel like, but I also know my life is not over, and I have purpose, and meaning. Claire shows us the ultimate purpose in trying to save the world. Our characters from the last book are there for us to love, but this really is a book more about Claire. It could stand alone, as the author is wonderful at giving you enough details without spoiling the plots of the others, but you really do need to read the others beforehand in order to truly understand what is going on. All books are worth the read. Read in order for best experience. Highly recommend, and look forward to the next one.

The three crone books, so far.. I’ve read the first three in the series. I love the characters, all of them. They are real animations- I know that’s an oxymoron- and they live in my memory. They do things in the way, and for the same reasons as any being walking the earth in reality. The descriptions of the settings is equally intriguing. I quite like the description of the ley lines. However, what really draws me, and why I’ve preordered the last one in the series, is the way Claire handles aging. Her thoughts ( “they’d like me to just be in a corner, and not bother anyone.”) - not a direct quotation- is something I’ve thought to myself now and again. I like her questions and self examination. I like her spunk when her friends give her a hard time. I like her reactions to bad guys, good guys and most of all, to sexy guys! One of my step grands asked me a couple years ago if I still liked sex. I asked him if he liked ice cream. He said he did. I asked him if he would like it in ten years, “Yes.”, he said. “In twenty years?”, I said. “Yes”, again. “Could he ever foresee a time when he wouldn’t like it?” “No.” he replied. “Sex is like that.”I said. Just because we are in the last chapters of our lives doesn’t mean we are giving up excitement, or sex, or love. Or any emotion. Or adventure. Claire is like that. She doesn’t give up on anything. Thank You Lydia. I like Claire and the Crone series a lot. I will delve into the other series you have in due time.

Game of Crones. I’m starting to really like who Claire is becoming. Hope she arrives by the end of the next book. Can’t wait to gobble it up like I did this book.
