Amazing. I loved it so much and it is definitely a book that I’ll go back and read again for comfort! Aaron and Lina are adorable. I enjoyed it so much that I just ordered it in paperback :)

Over hyped!. Took too long to get to the point, very repetitive and predictable. Definitely not a fan of the writing style, and I don’t speak Spanish so I was lost in translation throughout ...

Frustrating Writing. Very small spoilers below I usually love these kind of books but something about Lina and the writing just made me so uninterested. The author would repeat certain phrases soo many times (“I almost fell to the floor…” “ocean eyes” “he was about to be my boss” “smile just for me” etc). Lina would also question if Aaron had feelings for her constantly and then in the next sentence acted as if it was completely impossible for Aaron to feel that way, that she MUST have been imagining it. Which is so exhausting. Like the author thinks we’re dumb and needs Lina to point out to the reader that “Hey!!! Aaron caressing her arm means that he probably likes Lina, but I still want it to be a slow burn at this point so she can’t believe the very thing that she is thinking!!!” Idk if this made any sense but yeah frustrating lol

Way too long and boring. There is no reason for this book to be this long. The main character ends up being insufferable. The events are weird and unrealistic. The conversations between the lovers lack depth and meaning. I was cringing at every other page.

I loved this book❤️. I just finished this book 25 minutes ago, and I just love Catalina's and Aaron's love story. Their Romance just made me have all the feels!!!! I loved this book so much❤️❤️

Such a fun read!. Aaron Blackford is a complete dream! So beautiful inside and out! Although Lina had me wanting to scream some sense into her throughout most of the book, I could not help but root for her. The Martín family stole my heart in this sweet story. I would definitely recommend it!

Phenomenal!. Ahhh where do I start?? This has to be the best book I’ve read so far. The characters are relatable and there wasn’t one cringe moment that I’ve seen in past romance novels. I don’t know a lick of Spanish and the author did so well to accommodate that. I can’t recommend this book enough!

A Must Read. Absolutely incredible. This love story is one you don’t want to miss out on. The setup is long and felt unnecessary at first but IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT.

Worth the Read but very PG-13. The story was a little slow to start and in my opinion there were too many raunchy details in the final chapter. Overall I did enjoy the book and seeing the growth and internal thoughts of Catalina.

Still searching for the hype… 😬. It’s not that I hated this book, I just really didn’t feel the chemistry between our main characters until wayyyy later. Truthfully, enemies-to-lovers isn’t my favorite trope, but I’ve read several lately that I still enjoyed. There were several funny parts, but I’m still left wanting. And, oddly enough, I wouldn’t mind a sequel where they head back to Spain, maybe to get married— I think that could be a fun, interesting story! But I had a hard time with this one until 60ish% in, which most people give up by that point… I wouldn’t recommend against this book, but I won’t be shouting about it from the roof tops.

Characters you fall in love with…. I don’t know why I was so hesitant to read this, and one chapter in, I was already annoyed at myself for waiting so long. I typically don’t love enemies-to-lovers as a trope, as it has to be done very specifically & done very well to not put me off (personally). This one was perfect. It was lengthy, but never felt drawn out. Ironically, halfway through, I thought it wasn’t going to feel like enough, but it was just enough to be perfect. Aaron was surprisingly cheesy in certain moments/monologues, but he had just enough charisma & calm to balance it out. Loved it!

Ahhh-mazing. My heart!!!! Ugh I couldn’t love a book more it’s amazing and mushy and has you smiling the whole time. I love this troupe soooo much. Seriously this is one of the best books I’ve read in a while and would literally re read it just after I’ve read it. I love Aaron 🥺❤️

Good! But….. I thought it was a good book overall. It was definitely veeerrry slow going. And then it was a speedy ending. So overall, not bad for a cute romance read if you just want something to take your mind off stuff.

The Spanish Love Deception. Where to begin. This book has been overwritten. Pages and pages describing the narrator’s feelings, only moving the plot along ever so slowly. Fans of soft porn will love her steamy sex scenes, but all in all this story was so predictable and disappointing.

Loved this book!. I couldn’t stop reading! Loved all the characters, the story, the romance. Can’t wait to receive the next book!

Amazing book!. I simply loved this book! I felt all the emotions, the author really brought the characters to life for me. I hope there is a sequel, and many more books to come.

Quite good... Slow start, loved the last half of the book but first half was almost difficult for me to get through felt a bit redundant maybe it was just so glaringly obvious what was going on.

Wattpad story turned published book. My book club decided to read this, and when we started, I didn’t understand why our first checkpoint was 7 chapters... and now I do😂 It’s very hard to get invested in the beginning, lol. The language gives off strong fan fiction vibes, and there’s a couple cringe-worthy moments that definitely made me roll my eyes. Overall, however, I thought it was cute :) It’s a slow burn, so be warned, but Lina and Aaron’s dynamic is adorable and the characters are really cheeky and relatable ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Chef’s kiss. I absolutely love this book. I’ve read/re-read it probably four or five times and fall in love with it even more. However, I still wanna know where Aaron kept the doughnut before he gave it to Lina.

Terrible.. This book was so over hyped it’s unbelievable. The writing is just terrible and the pacing of the entire novel is just terrible. How does an author write an entire novel where the romantic leads have almost no chemistry?

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I was totally obsessed with this book. The characters and plot line had me hooked and in love. The paving was good and just a little bit of spice… what else could you want!

Oof. I saw TikToks about this and blindly bought it, could barely get through the first chapter :( very cringy middle school watt pad energy. Main character is an “omg stahpppp I’m so small! I can’t reach!!” Kind of gal and is petty and insecure. Love interest is toxic and annoying. BFF is timid and annoying also

Loved it!!!. It did kinda have a slow start and a few cheesy and cringy moments (but what story doesn’t have that. Lol 😆), in my opinion. But the rest was amazing!!! I loved each character. I wish someone like Aaron would come into my life 🤭. I really liked Catalina too, even though she did frustrate me at times. Reading about he family reminded me of my family in a way. It was very warm hearted, cutely funny rom-com. A very intense one too 🥰. I really enjoyed reading it overall.

This book is a dream ❤️. Lina and Aaron are the dream team, I devoured this book and I absolutely adore it! Aaron Blackford is. the. man. It should be a crime to write a man like this! His open heart, honesty, loyalty, thoughtfulness, adoring, determined man… ugh… he is forever in my top 5 boyfriends. This book checked so many boxes for me and I was flying through it. I loved all the early interactions and connections between Lina and Aaron… this is a slow burn that pays off in spades. The chemistry is off the CHARTS. While the set up is LONG, it is executed beautifully. I also loved the wedding scenes… and that the side characters did not engulf our leads and their time together. This story was developed with such care and detail, I appreciate it so much, it feels like a love letter to romance readers!!! My only complaint (and again I adored this book so I am OK with it) was the long ending, it got a little messy the last few chapters and the dialogue was too much (Lina stumbled and repeated herself)… but gosh did I ever look forward to their dialogue with each other! And I did actually love the way they brought more of Aaron in at the end with his dad and how much he loved being around Lina’s family. This was such a sweet touch, and could have been woven in earlier. So I think just a tighter end, less stumbling would have been icing on the cake! RUN and Go read this book, you will fall in love!!!! ❤️❤️

What book did y’all read?. This book has great reviews so I gave it a chance but I wish I hadn’t paid for this. The writing is vapid and all characters leave a lot to be desired. This is meant to be an enemies to lovers trope but they were never enemies? I’m absolutely confused by all the good reviews..

Amazing Book. It was everything I expected and more I loved this book so much and read it within 2 days

Less is More!. This book was way to long winded. The author seemed like she wanted to include every cliche meet cute situation from every romcom ever written and the editor was all for it. This book was extremely wordy took page after page of the same “yes” and “no” argument between the characters. It had everything to be a great book but it became a mundane read because of bad Editing! Less is more.

Corny. Slow, repetitive and you knew how the story was going to end after the first chapter.

Hard to read. The internet told me to read this book and it proved to me that just because it’s popular doesn’t make it good. It’s an interesting (if a little cliché) story. Aaron and Lina are dynamic and well rounded as characters. It has sexy, funny and cute parts. The love story is crazy gushy. (Not really my style, but I can work with it). The reason I give this book a 3/5 is because I found the sentence structure hard to read- to the point that it pulled me from the story and required me to really focus and reread. I didn’t notice any glaring grammatical errors so I’m assuming that it may just be this authors writing style. Overall it just wasn’t for me.
