Loved it. Nice intro to the Ware family, and the second half had the piercing poignancy of her best novels.
Refreshing. Enjoyed all the layers of the family dynamics. The intimate scenes were tastefully written.
I’m with Brontë lover. Too painful to read. I have tried twice and can’t slog my way through past about page 40. Her other series are great - what the heck happened here?
I just can’t. I am so disappointed. I love her books but this one is written like the Huxtable series (which did NOT love) and is too wordy and descriptive. In the first 50 pages I think there was one line of dialogue. It is written and edited very differently from the Bedwyn, Simply, or Westcott books. I can’t finish it.
