Found You (A Rylie Wolf FBI Suspense Thriller—Book One) by Molly Black Book Summary

A notorious stretch of highway is rife with serial killers, unsolved murders and missing-persons cases. The FBI, knowing it must crack this Bermuda Triangle of death, assigns its most brilliant mind—and flawed agent—Rylie Wolf, to dive headfirst into this road of danger. Rylie must tap her brilliant instincts to decode these cases and enter the twisted mind of killers—while battling demons from her own dark past.

In FOUND YOU (A Rylie Wolf FBI Suspense Thriller—Book One), FBI Agent Rylie Wolf isn’t afraid to speak her mind. But when her headstrong tendencies land her in hot water, she finds herself assigned to a new location: a dangerous stretch of highway, spanning several states, known for unsolved murders and missing-persons cases. Rylie, still haunted by a near miss with a murderer during her childhood, knows this area all too well. It was one she hoped never to return to.

Victims are found strung to mile markers along the highway, an eerie trademark of a serial killer.

Rylie and her new partner must track down the killer, but the pattern of murders is baffling. With the FBI breathing down her neck, time is running out, and as the pressure ramps up, Rylie finds herself in the middle of a cat-and-mouse game with a killer more deranged than she could have ever imagined.

Can Rylie stop the murderer before he kills again?

Or will she herself be the next victim?

A complex psychological crime thriller full of twists and turns and packed with heart-pounding suspense, the RYLIE WOLF mystery series will make you fall in love with a brilliant new female protagonist and keep you turning pages late into the night. It is a perfect addition for fans of Robert Dugoni, Rachel Caine, Melinda Leigh or Mary Burton.

Books #2-#6 in the series—CAUGHT YOU, SEE YOU, WANT YOU, TAKE YOU, and DARE YOU—are now also available.

Good story BUT. A reader is supposed to like the protagonist. She’s rude, bitter and very unlikeable. Not to mention that the author can’t seem to keep the story straight. Darla had blonde curls, then bright red hair, inconsistencies throughout and a few typos. It’s “peeled out” not “peaked out”. Is Molly Black a pseudonym for Blake Pierce?

Details flawed. Concerned about geographical inaccuracies. Don’t think I missed too many details but Rocks Springs WY is a long way from Hot Springs AR. Not a quick drive. The procedural inaccuracies might make for light reading but Dirty Harry and Lone Wolf McQuade are movies. Most successful Law Enforcement is about teamwork. Even if you don’t personally care for the other members of the team. Stopped reading after I couldn’t reconcile the discrepancies

Ok, but not great. My first and last book of this series…

Found you. Loved this book and looking forward to reading the next book, the author really had a way with words. Ole grandma

Found You. I’m glad I found this author! Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I even read while having dinner. Agent Wolf is a complex person who alternates between annoying, sad, brave and admirable. When she and Agent Brisbane are partnered, her vulnerable side shows up. This is a good story and am looking forward to more.

Found you. I found this book a little hard to read. Wolf is not a likeable person. Had a hard time reading it because of her. It was a good story.

Absolutely thrilling!!. Exciting and captivating read!

Hanting. I always wondered about that highway!

A unique character. Rylie Wolf is one of a kind and full of surprises. The settings are often dreary and frightening, helping create suspense via a well written plot. I couldn’t put the book down despite having an early alarm in the morning. On to the next in the series, even though I should be cooking supper….

Not much substance. This was blah. I gave it a one because the main character was such a nasty bitter person that made it easy to hate her. Definitely not going back for more.

Found you. Excellent Could not put down

Great read!. Suspenseful for sure. Awesome

Love it. I love does Brooks not put them down once I start I’m up all night reading them pretty much I give it five stars

Found You. I enjoyed reading this book.It was well written and the characters came to life in the story. I definitely recommend this book to others to read. Looking forward to the next one.

Found You. Great read. Suspenseful and finally they caught him. Great book. Can’t wait to read more!

Found You. Excellent mystery and story!!!!

Good title. Good read, but why are we truing to make her out to be dirty harry? Come on people who act like her get fired. Only found 3 grammatical errors

Lack of Continuity. Was the author multitasking while writing this book? Calvin is driving a Buick - oh no wait he’s driving a pickup. Rylie rams a suspect’s van with her personal pickup - oh no wait she was driving a government issue vehicle. Brisbane is driving a sedan - oh no wait it’s an F150. The characters are fairly engaging but better sentence structure and proper use of commas would be welcome.

FBI Serial Killer Case. Good storyline. The female protagonist comes on as un like able. She’s rude and it seems to make it hard for the rest of the team to be kind to her. The rest of the team are able to work together to solve cases put before them. The book is good and can be read in a day.

Obsessed with this series. Couldn’t put it down!

You’re kidding. The female FBI agent was so obnoxious I was wishing she would be the one killed rather than the hero. If an FBI agent read this book I’m sure they would track down the author.

Found You. Great read! No redundant verbiage and a fast moving storyline. Couldn’t put it down!

Typos. Still some typos! Story is very good using multiple voices in storytelling.

Loved it. I was engaged the whole time. Loved the characters! Riley is one tough agent!

Exciting!. Rylie Wolf is my kind of character. She's got spunk and character. There were a few typos but the story was like a fast-moving roller coaster. I recommend this book and this author. I know I'll be reading more.

Found you. I liked the story and characters. But inconsistencies and an apparent lack of knowledge about geography was really annoying. Maybe a good editor would help.

Lazy writing. The overwhelming desire to be bombastic results in an entirely unrealistic and lazy storyline. It became quickly obvious that little to no research was done to develop a believable FBI agent or tenable investigatory approach.

The Devil’s highway needs heroes.. Rylie Wolf clashes with her FBI department’s head one time too often and finds herself with the choice of excepting a posting on route 86 or being fired from the Bureau. Her unorthodox methods may catch criminals but she tends to be a lone wolf who alienates everyone who tries to get close. Her new job involves solving murders and missing persons cases along one of the loneliest highways in the country, not too far from where she grew up and the cases take an emotional toll. She is given a partner, when she dislikes working for others and she doesn’t open up and trust anyone, really.

Masterful tale. This story is fast paced and captivating in its twists. I couldn’t put it down.
