Elevators Are Interesting. Hannah Christy was looking forward to a promotion she was positive she earned. Unfortunately, life happens and things change. Hannah steps into the elevator at her apartment building when Gage Lawson rushes in before the door closes. Riding up to their apartments, the electricity goes out and they are trapped in the elevator. Little do they realize, their lives will never be the same. Add a little wine, Hannah’s mother’s delicious cookies, a matchmaking family, an apartment building filled with fifty five & older residents, and a fake romance, it makes for a surprising, happy romantic read for the holidays. Samantha Chase does it again. Fantastic book with lots of surprises along the way! Loved it!

A feel-good Christmas romance!. Samantha Chase’s His for the Holidays was a quick, no angst, small town Christmas romance filled with love, family and humor. Gage and Hannah’s story starts off with a meet cute in the elevator where they get to know each other and chemistry sparks between the two. They embark on a fake relationship to not face their respective families during the holidays. This story was so cute and I loved Gage and Hannah’s characters. These characters were believable and their connection was intense. I was complete invested in their story and the narrator really brought this story and characters to life. Rating: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cute. The story was cute with just a bit of spice mixed in. The scene in the elevator was fun. The heroine bugged me a bit. She just felt one dimensional to me with no substance. I wish more was developed between them. More together time less family time. I was really excited for this book, but while it grabbed me for a minute at the beginning it lost me. The two main characters never feel like there is a reason for them to fall in love. It just happens for no reason. I wish there was time spent for them to build a connection and to allow to reader to feel them falling in love, but that never really happens. I had to push myself to finish this book. I just wish there was more to it.

Not her best work.. I love Samantha Chase but this one was shallow and trite.

A perfectly wonderful holiday romance. Four and a half stars His for the Holidays by Samantha Chase is a delicious fake-relationship story that kicks off with an (un)timely power outage that finds Hannah Christy trapped in the elevator with the hot Gage Lawson. They get to chatting and we’re off to the races! Samantha Chase does a terrific job with Hannah and the swoon worthy Gage, and we root all the way for these two to recognize and to embrace their not-so-fake feelings for each other. A perfectly wonderful Christmas read!

Holiday Magic at every turn!!. Gage and Hannah get stuck in an elevator and what happens from there is funny, romantic and a few mishaps along the way. It will make you swoon to the very end. And, I LOVED the HEA ending, so perfect.

Sweet holiday romance. Such a great audiobook to listen to during the holiday season!! Elizabeth Cottle did such a great job narrating. It was easy to forget I was listening to only one person. The story is a classic forced proximity / fake dating / he falls first romance surrounding an FMC in the middle of a life crisis and an MMC trying to get his mom and multiple sisters off his back for the holidays.

Cute Holiday Read. This was a cute holiday, forced proximity/fake relationship read. You get all the Hallmark movie vibes from this one, with great chemistry and laugh out loud banter between Gage and Hannah. I really enjoyed this cute read. Elizabeth Cottle did a good job with the narration.

A Wonderful Holiday Love Story. Samantha Chase has done it again and has delivered another incredible romance with His for the Holiday, a wonderful holiday love story. Who does not love a forced proximity love story? I loved every moment on every page and could not put it down. Samantha Chase has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love how Samantha Chase always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy men. Samantha Chase continues to deliver all that and so much more. She has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. His for the Holiday did not disappoint; I could not put it down and loved every moment on every page. I enjoy how Samantha Chase writes from the perspective of the two main characters. That way you get to know what is going on in of their minds. His for the Holiday is a wonderful love story and is filled each with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments eyes filling with tears. His for the Holiday is filled with such moments, and with so much more. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Samantha Chase love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. I love how she incorporated both the picture on cover and the title of the book, with a simple statement from Hannah, into the love story. His for the Holiday is the story of Hannah Christy and her upstairs neighbor, Gage Lawson. Hannah and Gage had seen each other around the apartment building where they both live. As they are both returning home from celebrating Thanksgiving with their families, the power goes out and they get stuck in the elevator. They survive on Christmas cookies, Hannah’s mom sent home with her and wine the apartment manager gifted her. Hannah and Gage share things in the elevator that they normally would not share on a first date. Hannah said it best, that they knew each other better than most people do after dating for several months. Gage proposes that they fake date, so that he doesn’t have to deal with his mother and sister’s match matching. Hannah is up for a big promotion at work, so she wasn’t sure if she could “fake date” Gage. Hannah did not get the promotion, but got time off, so she agreed to Gage’s proposition. As Gage and Hannah begin spending time together, and head to Evergreen to celebrate Christmas with his family, things quickly heat up between the two of them. As they spend more time together, they continue share secrets and dreams that they haven’t revealed to anyone. I love the chemistry between Gage and Hannah. Then an unexpected plot twist that changes everything that they had built with each other, and Hannah decides what she really wants in life. I love how Hannah decides to take matters into her own hands and creates the change she wants. I loved his proposal and where it takes place. My favorite part was Hannah’s Christmas present to Gage, the location of the gift exchange, and Gage’s mother’s involvement, I also loved how the book title is incorporated into the ending. I love the heart-to-heart conversations that Hannah and Gage have with each other and their families. I loved the story and am so glad that both Hannah and Gage got their happily ever after. I love all the surprises that Samantha Chase has included in His for the Holiday. My favorite part in the book is the epilogue and how it wraps up all the details of the happily ever after, and it did not disappoint. His for the Holiday contains all the elements that I have love most in a Samantha Chase story, romance, great characters and setting, bittersweet moments and the plot twist that ties it all together. Amazing story. I could not put it down. Highly recommend this holiday love story that starts because of forced proximity.

Ticked all my boxes. AUDIO REVIEW This is my favourite time of year and I love Christmas romances and His for the Holidays is a magical holiday read, it was everything I have come to expect from the very talented Samantha Chase. Elizabeth Cottle is a new narrator to me but she did a wonderful job bring the characters and their support to life. Her narration has really put me in the mood for the upcoming holiday season and I look forward to listening to more from her. Gage Lawson and Hannah Christy meet when the lift they are in breaks down and that’s when the fun begins. There’s nothing like an enclosed space to have you confessing your problems and what is expected of you in the upcoming holiday season and Gage decides he needs a fake girlfriend to stop his family setting him up with all their neighbours and friends. Hannah has no plans for Christmas so this plan sounds like fun but what will happen when feelings come Into play and what will happen when Hannah finds herself not only falling for the man but also falling for his family…… This is a magical read that’s sweet and charming, it has wonderful characters that you can’t help loving and it’s a story that will certainly add some holiday cheer and put you n the mood for Christmas. Wonderful read that I highly recommend.

Loved it. I loved stories set around the holidays and add in that it is by one of my feel good go to authors Samantha Chase and I was all in. His For the Holidays was an entertaining read and as I have come to expect from Ms. Chase it was well written with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. From the first chapter I liked Hannah Christy and her neighbor Gage Lawson. For me they were well suited and made a great couple. After having spent Thanksgiving with meddling families and getting trapped in an elevator together Gage comes up with the perfect way to plan for Christmas. A fake relationship. However we all know that the best laid plans don’t always work out and this quickly becomes obvious.. The chemistry between Hannah and Gage was intense and they found themselves moving from fake to real. I loved how determined Gage was to get his girl. I fell hard and fast for this soon worthy man. Can Gage convince Hannah to take a chance on him? One click and find out.
