She needs an editor. I’m sure the story is good and the characters seem relatable, but I can’t get past the writing. Over and over again the beginning of a sentence has nothing to do with the end of the same sentence. It’s almost like it was self published. And it is an editor could’ve fixed most of these problems and left us with a very pleasant romcom. But when the writing is this poor this frequently it just takes you out of the story. Can’t finish it.

The Perfect Man. Ellie and Cruz.Finally. Such a great ,feeling story. I love these romances. I do recommend this writer for her in depth knowledge of the hearts of her characters. U GO GIRL❣️

The Perfect Man. I personally couldn’t get very far in this book. I didn’t like the back and forth from real life to the storybook she was writing . I didn’t want to have to work to figure out which was what. That’s just me. I read romance because it’s fun and relaxing, this book wasn’t either. I’m not saying someone else wouldn’t like it. It wasn’t what I wanted.

Interesting story. This is a super interesting story. Ellie is a romance author that is trying to write a new story about the perfect man. She’s an introvert that lives above the bookstore. I have never heard of a taco stand inside of a bookstore so that was a nice twist. I liked Ellie and she was realistic but also awkward. Cruz was a cool guy and I wish Ellie had noticed him sooner and not dealt with Chase. Chase just seemed like a guy who got what he wanted when he wanted it. I honestly didn’t expect someone else to come into his life but it didn’t surprise me either. I’m honestly glad things turned out definitely with Chase and Sasha. The dreams seemed almost real but the names were kinda ridiculous lol. I wasn’t expecting Hadden to actually be real but that was super embarrassing and I felt bad for Ellie when she ran into the door. I loved the chemistry between Ellie and Cruz and the way they just fit together. I loved the kitten scenes and how she attached herself to Cruz. Definitely curious as to who Hadden and Grey end up with.

Waste of time. I don’t know how I even managed to read the entire book. Ellie had to be one of the most annoying characters ever written. So mad at myself for thinking the book would get better. It didn’t.

Ups and Downs. I liked when this book was focused on “reality” but when entire chapters were of what Ellie was writing in her books (the perfect men from her dreams), it just felt like too much of a story shift. I felt like an entire chapter dedicated to the dream men took away from the actual story. I ended up skimming/skipping a lot of those parts. When it was focused on the main story line it was much better. Ellie not realizing things and dramatically running away all the time was a bit annoying, but I’m glad it had a happy ending.

Couldn’t get past page 147. My issue with this book is the amount of dream sequences. It felt like half of what I read was of the main character dreaming. It made it hard to actually care about the real characters in the book. I gave up.
