Slow, with a thin plot. The plot wasn’t enough action for me. Too much obvious romance line.
No dark promises were kept. The title has nothing to do with the book. This book definitely fell short. The date and time period do not follow the story and language very well. It’s written more modern than regency. And the author completely skipped over how this dangerous killer was caught and punished….that was the one of the main storylines. The two main characters just fell short of who the author tried to make them be. Just shallow, very little depth. They went from acting like adults to acting like highschoolers
