Kim and Max. I’m a huge hockey romance lover, not to mention the sport itself, and the Viper series is one of my favorites. Max and Kim had chemistry to spare as the meet at the very exclusive wedding of his brother and her cousin. Max is recuperating from some serious injuries so he’s just looking to relax and heal. Kim is an unexpected but welcome distraction from his family’s concern and his fears of not playing hockey again. While a lawyer who doesn’t believe in marriage and an athlete who does might seem like an unlikely match, Stacey Lynn shows us just how right they are for each other. Not wanting to give away plot points, let me just say that she does a very sensitive and accurate portrayal of the effects of concussions in the field of sports. I appreciate that attention to detail and factual information as much as I loved the connection between Kim and Max. I loved it.

More Vipers. I love the Vipers so so much and Max’s book is no exception. I thought I knew what kind of story Max would have since in every book in this series he’s been the loud, funny, fun loving teammate. He’s still that but his story had way more depth to it than I saw coming. He’s an amazing brother, friend, and all around good guy. This story was such a fun read. I loved everything about Max and Kim from start to finish but the best thing about this story is the low angst level. I want all the books for this team but I would also love to see all of Max’s brothers get their HEA too!!

Loved it. Having read and enjoyed other books in this series, I was excited to read Shot Taker. It was everything I was expecting and more. There was romance, humour, witty banter and characters whose story you cannot help but quickly become invested in. We have met Max in previous books and I couldn’t wait to see what Ms.Lynn had in store for him. Meeting Kim whilst attending bis brother’s destination wedding he is shocked when he realizes that perhaps what was supposed to be a week long fling might be so much more than he was expecting. It was refreshing that it was Max who wanted a committed relationship and that he had to work to convince Kim to take a chance on love. I loved these two together, the chemistry between the sizzled but it was the banter and the development of their relationship that was heart warming and made me smile. This may well be my favourite of the series.

All the feels. I’m loving the Las Vegas Vipers Series and I was excited for Max and Kim’s story and all im going to say is, this story was anything I expected and so much more. Shot Taker is the perfect addition to this wonderful series of stand-alone reads. Max is looking forward to some well deserved relaxation while attending His brothers tropical wedding, what he didn’t expect was to fall for the cousin of the bride…. Kim is an attorney and a week away is just what the doctor ordered to unwind and recharge her batteries and this wedding has come just at the right time. When she meets the brother of the groom sparks fly, the attraction is instant but this could never be more than fling because she deals with high profile athletes all the time while doing her job in family law. A week of fun and games could work really well as long as feelings don’t come into play…. This is a sweet yet steamy, entertaining read, it has wonderful characters and a story that’s believable. I was captivated from the first page and there was putting down until I had read the final line and if like me you love Insta-love romances that hit the floor running this is the book for you. I highly recommend Shot Taker and this series to all romance lovers and I can5 wait for what next from the Las Vegas Vipers hockey team.
