LOVED!!. SOO GOOD!!! Loved the characters and character development. Great plot twists… Reminded me of the hunger games mixed with Percy Jackson/Harry Potter.

Easy fun read. I like to use read to unwind and this book helped me do just that. I think it was a fun, easy read. I recommend reading if you are looking for a fun fantasy.

Great read. A breath of fresh air to a theme I was beginning to think was tired. However once you get pasted the semi-cringness some YA novels have, you start to feel for the characters and their direness to break these dreadful curses. 4 stars because of the reoccurring confusion on some of the intertwining of the curses and how the characters navigated throughout the book with them in mind. Just needed more clarity. Can’t wait for the next book and what’s in store for light lark

Would not recommend…. Too many plot holes, a love triangle that made no sense even at the end, multiple ‘betrayals’ and twists that countered each other out, Mary sue main character and overall was left unsatisfied.

Not great.. While the idea is great - the end piece will leave you wanting. The writing was rushed, flat in most areas and the world building wasn’t thought through. I was hoping for something more but was left wanting.

No good. I didn’t bother finishing the book. It’s just no good. It felt rushed, and the writing is so disorganized.

Good grief. This book makes very little sense. I’m an avid fantasy reader and this… I burned through it fast just because I was so hopeful for the concept but my god The main character is an insufferable Mary Sue self insert who is called a “strategist” but also is so freaking impulsive she ruins her own plans literally every time she makes one. The plot twist… I mean look I love a good plot twist, hit me over the head with a surprise piano for all I care, but typically they’re something you say “oh crap it was THEM!?!!!!” and a reread adds substance to the things you now know indicate the twist. That… that does not happen this is totally out of the blue. The creepy age gap romance in fantasy books is always a delight, ick. I… I cannot begin to explain without spoiling it further how bummed I was about this book.

Loved it. I had found myself going on months of not reading. Months of not disappearing into a world unlike my own. This book reminded me what it felt like to be so stuck in a book I hide in the closet at work to read. Or sneak paragraphs when im out with friends. Thank you

Fantastic!. What a great tale! I loved everything about this story, but the surprises were particularly wonderful!

Highly Recommended. I never guessed what was coming next, and when I tried, I was wrong! (In a good way.) I couldn’t put this book down and really enjoyed the twists and how the information was slowly revealed to the reader and the characters.

@thepinkpublications. The beginning of the book was beautiful! I love all the scenery that is described in the book because it truly helps me “see” everything in my mind. I fell in love with Isla and to be honest i also loved how Grim was immediately open to her. I loved that she had Celeste to be her best-friend while in the centennial. In order to not spoil any details im just gonna skip ahead and let you know that the last 10 or so chapters of the book I was just in complete awe about how the book was playing out.
