Second chance love. Shayna isn’t “Shy Pie” anymore to Lee Burrows. The hunky, former campus god, U of M QB turned NFL all-star gets to call her “co-worker” now. We follow the story 8 years after college to find Shayna joining the Kingsman Football organization as a new medical trainer. The magnetism and tension is perfectly balanced and thick as these two set on a path that could light them both in flames. I love that Shayna is still strong though out and dedicated to her career. But when push comes to shove, which will she choose?! Joe Arden and Callie Dalton did a fantastic job bringing voices to these characters. Enemies to lovers, football gods, secret lovers, all things you’ll find in this spicy story of forgiveness and second chances. This was my first full-length novel by Piper Rayne and she has a fan for life. I can’t wait to hear/read more about Brady’s story! Plot 5/5 Spice 4/5

You had your chance lee burrows.. I have read. So many of y’all books. One thing I love is you keep older characters alive. In your new books. I’m already loving this series. Lee and shanya are great together. And I love how you mentioned lee brother Kane from the hockey series. But I have to admit my favorite part. Is Brady banks. Lennon and jasper. At the end. Of the book. Really excited me. That I have already preordered Brady book. Overall please keep bringing in the older characters in the new series. couldn’t put this book down like most y’all books.

Second chance romance. What do you do when your former flame walks into the football training room ? Second chance romance enters your mind. Lee Burrows sees his old flame athletic trainer Shayna who isn’t ready to forgive him quite yet, as she should. But there are some obstacles in his way, the no fraternization rule the team has with the players and the staff and her not forgiving right away. I enjoyed their chemistry from the start and the instant sparks they still had even through they weren’t together. Shayna had a strong independent character and that was great to read. This was a great book for those who love enemies to lovers, second chance romance, sport romance or even work place. I received this ARC through the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing this book, opinions are my own.

You Had Your Chance Lee Burrows: Kingsmen Football Stars by Piper Rayne. Wow what a fantastic and beautiful book , I loved every word . This is Shayna and Lee’s story and it started in college and finally ends in a very HEA . I can’t wait to read the other books in this series .

Loved it!. Totally in love with this series! The characters are fun and playful and sweet and sass and the chemistry is off the charts! Its the perfect book to get wrapped up in and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. I loved the narrators in this one they totally brought the characters to life!

Second chance at love. So, first off, there are a lot of readers who recommend reading the prequel to this story, False Start before starting this book. I didn’t, and it honestly wasn’t an issue when it came to enjoying YHYCLB or understanding the conflict between Lee and Shayna. I actually read it after this one, and it kind of affected how I saw the characters. I enjoyed the book and am excited to be diving into another Piper Rayne series. The players we’ve been introduced to so far will all make great MMCs, but I confess that I’m most anxious for Chase, lol. He’s the antithesis of Lee. Lee does a lot of groveling in this book. He made a big mistake in college, not going to lie. But he’s trying to make amends to Shayna, who can’t decide if she is going to continue hating Lee like she has for the past 8 years, or get horizontal with him. I tried not to choose sides, but I did. I’ll let other readers choose their own favorite.

Fun Second Chance Romance. I love Piper Rayne as an author, but this book had one major issues that drove me nuts (and not in a good way). I had the same issue with her book The Trouble with #9, it is where the female lead is a medical/psychiatric professional who crosses all ethical lines because of love. If the sexes were reversed, it was a man who was the Psychiatrist or physical therapist, he would be considered a predator and rightfully loses his license. If Shayna had been a non-medical member of the San Francisco Kingsmen, I would have raved about this book. I loved the backstory, told in the novella, and the redemption of Lee in this book. This is a very well written second chance romance, with a major flaw that keeps it from being a five star read for me. Overall, I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the other Kingsmen’s stories. I received an arc of this book from the author for my honest review.

Book 1 is Awesome. I read the prequel, how Lee blows it with Shayna. It had me hooked! I couldn’t wait to see how their story continues years later. This book, You Had Your Chance, is a great read! ❤️ He is a big softie at heart. Lee wants another chance and will do anything, even agree to her terms. This football series will be a hit full of sexy ball 🏈 players. There are teases through out the story for each player’s book.

Great storyline!. Really enjoyed this book. It had great characters and was a page turner. Cant wait for the next book in the series!

Lees second chance. I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the start of the authors Football series. It is one I have been really excited to read because we have seen glances of the team and players in other books in the authors previous series. Lee Burrows is a character that I met in "Offside with #55" where we met Kane Burrows, Lee's older brother. There is also a prequel to this book called False Start where we meet a younger Shayna and Lee, and we find out exactly what he did to her and why she HATES him. In this book everyone has graduated, and Shayna has gotten her dream job as an Athletic Trainer for the San Franscisco Kingsmen Football Team. It just so happens that is the same one as her nemesis, Lee Burrows works for as their star quarterback. This is a story about growing up, moving on and forgiveness. Lee is not a bad guy, but he did a bad thing and it really hurt and humiliated Shayne. He has tried to apologize for years to her and when she ends up getting a job on his team, he is hoping for forgiveness and maybe a second shot with Shayna. Shayna is one tough cookie and I loved that she makes Lee really work for his apology and a maybe second chance. But things are not as simple as in college, now they are in the adult world and have to follow rules by the team and one is a very strict non fraternization clause. So, this story is not just a hate to love romance, a second chance, but also a very forbidden romance.

Way to go Lee Burrows! I loved this book! I could not put it down.. I loved this book and could not put this down. I loved this continuation of Lee Burrows’ and Shayna Kudrow’s story eight years after they met at the University of Michigan at the San Francisco Kingsmen. This book was sad, funny and inspiring! Thank you Piper and Rayne for writing two brilliant characters. Shayna reminds me of myself and it brought up memories some good and bad. I loved how Lee Burrows apologised to Shayna stood up for her! Way to go Lee Burrows - you are a keeper!

Great start to a new series. You Had Your Chance, Lee Burrows is book one in the new Kingsman Football Stars Series and I have to say If this book is anything to go by the talented writing duo of Piper Rayne will certainly have another hit series on their hands. This is Lee Burrows and Shayna Kudrow’s second chance at love. Lee and Shayna had a brief relationship when they were in college and it didn’t end well so how are they going to feel when they come face to face when Shayna starts her job at the Kingsman Football Team which is the team Lee is the starting quarterback for….. This couple shouldn’t work but somehow they do, the banter is witty and at times hilarious, the chemistry is sizzling and off the charts and once they realised their feelings for each other they knew exactly what needed to be done to make it work. I loved everything about this book, I was drawn in from the first few pages, I was captivated by not only Lee and Shayna but also the rest of the Kingsman players which had left me excited for what’s to come. A wonderful start to a new series.

Fantastic!. The first book in the Kingsmen Football Stars series is off to a fantastic start with Lee Burrows story. Honestly this is a roller coaster of a book, where Shayna, the one that got away, starts a new job with the Kingsmem football team! Lee is the star quarterback and cannot believe he sees her again! However Shayna is reluctant around Lee due to the past and what happened between them! Can these two get along or will the past come back with a vengeance?! No spoilers as you have to read it for yourself! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this book and cannot wait for more of the series! I highly recommend you one click!

Loved it. Whenever I pick up a new book by Piper Rayne I know I am in for an emotional, witty well written story that will leave me with a smile on my face. When I heard that Piper Rayne had a new series releasing I was so excited. It was everything I was hoping for and more. If You Had Your Chance Lee Burrows is anything to go by then they are off to a flying start. I was hooked on Shayna Kudrow and Lee Burrow’s second chance at love story from the first chapter. Years ago Lee made a mistake and broke Shayna’s heart, now when she accepts her dream job with the Kingsmen Football Club she knows she will have to face her past. Lee is determined to make amends for the past and I loved how much more there was to him that just a brash, cocky football player. The banter was witty, the chemistry scorching, the other players, particularly Miles were engaging and there were moments where my heart almost broke for both Shayna and Lee. This was an entertaining read that ticked every box for me.

There were a lot of spots in the book where I felt I was getting whiplash. One minute they would be arguing, the next minute everything was fine, and then the next minute it was all someone else's fault. Shayna was the worst for this. This series has potential going forward and it will be interesting to see the other members of the Kingsmen get their HEAs. Joe Arden did an awesome job bringing Lee and his story to life. I struggled with Callie Dalton's narrating on this one as it seemed like she was reading bullet points instead of a story. Great Start to Series. A hot and steamy second chance romance. So happy Lee and Shayna got their second chance after things went so wrong in college.

A sweet story for Lee and Shayna, great start to the series. I was so excited to have a new sport series from Piper Rayne, and this one started off amazing! If you are able I suggest reading the prequel novella, False Start, to see how Shayna and Lee met in college and what went wrong back then. This book is set 8 years after the break up in college, Shanya is the newest athletic trainer for the San Francisco Kingsman, where Lee if their star Quarterback. There is so many emotions caught up between these two, a lot of unresolved feelings and tension. Shayna want to do her job, be professional and have no one know their past-she must protect her heart. Lee on the hand, wants her, her forgiveness, her understand, her friendship and her just back in her life. He has never let go of what happened between them or to the feelings he has for Shayna, she was always the one who got away. The chemistry and connection between these two was so high, I loved watching as their relationship changed and deepened throughout the story. Shayna stood her ground and made Lee understand how she was feeling. She wanted to protect her heart, he really worked for it to make up for what happened. Her trust in him suffered but Lee wouldn’t give up, I love how sweet he was and how he showed her that she could truly count on him. These two made a great team and I loved their story, I was smiling the whole time I read it!! Shout out to Bryce, I really enjoy when authors add in strong female friendship and support system. She was a great friend to Shayna and I’m hoping we get to see more from her! It was fantastic meeting the other team members and looks like we even got teased a couple of other stories, especially Brady’s book next! I loved how these author tied in a few of their other series in this book, it is such a fun addition to the story! I am very much looking forward to the rest of this series from Piper Rayne. 4.5 ⭐️

Great new series!. I really enjoyed this second chance story! Shayna was Lee’s biggest regret after he made a mistake in college and destroyed their relationship. He thought about her a lot over the last 8 years and always wished he could fix what had happened. When Shayna takes a job with the Kingsmen, Lee’s football team, they are forced back into each others orbit. They both are struggling with letting the past go, Lee with his feelings for her and regret for his actions, and Shayna with her anger for what he did and the fact that she still feels something for him. I loved Lee’s determination at trying to make things right and move forward with her, and I totally understood Shayna’s hesitance about the whole situation. The hurt from the past still looms over them, but Lee’s dedication to make it up to Shayna really proved he wanted to be the man she deserved! I loved the side characters in this book too, and I’m so looking forward to the rest of the series! I listened to this book, and the duet narration by Joe Arden and Callie Dalton was awesome!
