CHEFS KISS. How DARE YOU????? This book was phenomenal. The entire thing felt like a fairytale incarnate. I don't know how Stephanie did it, but she kept the hope alive until the very end. I was expecting some sort of death. Not exactly Evangeline's, but still. I felt like one of them had to be close to dying in order for their TRUE feelings to be revealed Anyways let's get to the moments in the book that killed me...a series by yours truly: *) "The stories said his kiss was deadly to all except his one true love, and as he'd searched for her, he'd left a trail of corses. The Prince of Hearts understood heartbreak because his heart had broken over and over as he looked for love. But now it was crystal clear-he was the one who did the breaking, because he didn't know how to love." WHHHHYYYYYYYYYY WHO HURT YOU GARBER THAT WAS NOT OKAY "Not at all, my precious girl. I think there's a happy ending for everyone. But I don't think these endings always follow the last page of a book, or that everyone is guaranteed to find their happily ever after. Happy endings can be caught, but they are difficult to hold on to. They are dreams that want to escape the night. They are treasure with wings. They are wild, feral, reckless things that need to be constantly chased, or they will certainly run away." Steph darling, if this is your way of saying that Jacks and Evangeline won't get a happy ending I won't accept it. refuse "A tormented scream pierced the night like a blade. The story curse was familiar with pain, but this was agony, the sort of raw grief that was only seen once in a century. The Fate was every tear that anyone had ever shed for lost love. A Work of Heart-Wrenching Beauty. The slow burn… the tension… the pain… those are just a FEW of the myriad of emotions I felt when I read this book. SO SO GOOD. This is a god tier book. I even added it to my shelf reserved for Throne of Glass and Percy Jackson. This is THAT kind of book series!!!

READ THIS RIGHT KNOW. I devoured this book in like 2 hours. It was just the right amount of unpredictable and romance, the characters are so well developed and Jacks is amazing.

Unbelievable. I went screaming around the house for 10 minutes at the end of this book. Mostly because I did not expect a certain to-die-for boy to do what he did for his girl. I was squealing and screaming for that long in glee and disbelief just to have my heart break right after. I want to curse Stephanie Garber for that ending, but this book is too unbelievably beautiful and amazing and wonderful, even though it hurts like heck. Anyways, 100000/10 recommend

Totally worth the wait!. I finished the first book right after it was published and I had to wait for what felt like years and years for this book, but I am glad I did. It was just as captivating and magical as the first. Now if we don’t get a third book with a happy ending for Jacks I just might die!!!!

this book is everything. incredible. i would actually give this a higher rating if i could. i was really excited to get into this but also very nervous because i’d heard that the ending rips your heart out and then you have to wait until october. this story was insanely good. i’ve never been touched like this before. i ugly cried the whole last fifty pages, it was so sad. all i can think about is book three. i have literally been bawling the past few days just thinking about the fact that i still have to wait for the final installment. infinity stars ♾️

The best written tension I’ve ever read. I love it so much. The chapters in the hollow will live rent free in my head. Reminded my of being in love for the first time and wanting things to work out so badly and savoring the moments where everything felt perfect and the world and fate didn’t matter. I cannot wait for the 3rd book.

A little breathless after this book. I rushed to read it before I met the author because I knew I would have questions about the end. And boy do I! Read it and you will see for yourself. I’m excited to see the next book because there is no way it’s over yet
