Confused. I’m only on page 41, and the woman detectives name keeps switching from Valerie to Valeria😭. Did someone not get a proof read?

So many mistakes. The main characters name changes throughout the book. Grammar is off, spelling errors, and the dialogue is sophomoric. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is the storyline was interesting.

No Mercy. Great book. Easy reading. Nice flow.

No Mercy. Good plot, good pace throughout. Plenty of suspense. Plenty of typos, misspellings & omitted words. Also pistol is the universal term. Pistols can be revolvers or semi-automatic. The Terms are not all interchangeable. Also the cartridges (bullets) are held in a magazine in a semi-auto pistol, (NOT a clip).

Hang on!. No Mercy grabs you by the throat and just doesn’t let go. This book is intense and thrilling. I really enjoy these characters and look forward to learning more of their backstories. Blake Pierce wrote a completely complex villain who in the end somehow draws sympathy, but not compassion. Great story!

Excellent. I have been an avid reader for over 50 years - started with the Franklin W. Dixon Hardy Boys series at age 6. Many book reviews say that the work “grabs you from the first page”. This is the very first one that did so for me. Well done.

No Mercy. Generally a good read but sometimes the psychobabble got in the way and made it feel contrived. The characters are well written. However, I was very disappointed with the gathering frequency of grammatical errors particularly in the later sections, which made the book feel less polished - rather poor standard proof reading.

No to this crime fighter. I really like all other Blake Pierce characters and enjoy reading his books. It wasn’t just the unlikeable character but this is the first book I’ve felt that some of the scenes were implausible.

Lovin Blake!!. Great read, hard to put down. Hooks you from the beginning. Which all amounts to being my favourite type of literature!! Cheers to Blake!

Formulaic. At one time I sought out BP’s books, feeling they were some of the best mysteries out there - well crafted, riveting, and difficult to put down. More recently, after reading books from several of the many, many series BP is writing, I have a different opinion. Clearly they are being churned out too quickly. Plots are similar, written to a formula, regardless of which series. The lead characters are indistinguishable. Generally, I find the more recent books very amateurish. And if that were not enough, I take great exception to all the spelling, grammar and syntax mistakes. Does no one proofread these?!
