Interesting. Similar to the first novel keeps the reader interested but several similar lines and descriptions and does not read as a stand alone

Louisiana is the only state in United. Someone didn’t do their homework . Louisiana. Is the only state in the United States that has parishes instead of counties likelagrl. It is referred throughout the book , when mentioning Baton Rouge or New Orleans, the word county was used instead of parish. Other than that, and a few grammatical errors, the book was a good read.

Not Now. She is excellent in her role in this series. Going for answers, will she get them , or will the killer win A place in the south she didn’t want to go back to. Now it’s bodies and more bodies.. A good tight, emotion filled plot, that readers will enjoy. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Still lots of typos. Another good who-done-it, just wish the profe readers and editors would do their job better. Numerous misspelled words, wrong pronouns, and other errors that affected my enjoyment.

Great Read. It’s a great series. Keeps you reading and not wanting to put down.

Only ok…. Only ok. I couldn’t get into the characters or the story. It was just like a background episode of a tv show and all I wanted to do was the dishes or some other chore.

A Shame. It was an exciting and compelling story, but it was a shame that no proofreading seems to have been done. Myriad errors in grammar, usage, and even punctuation. As a retired professional proofreader, I am always put off by this sloppiness.

Mixed review. The writing was good and the descriptions excellent. However the editing was AWFUL. Obviously spellcheck was all that was done. Words were incorrect and some so bad that sentences made no sense. For goodness sake get a decent editor and proofreader on your books. Found the same problems with the last book. You can do better.

Twist and turns. This thriller had the agent’s twisting and turning all over the place to crack this one. Good to read of their exploits but not much intrigue for the reader. Definitely worth a read though.

A must read. Loved it and cant wait to read the next one, going to start it rightaway.

Not her best work. I’ve read a few of Kates other books and they have been quite good, this series not so much. The plot lines and characters are really thin. The perpetrator just seems to pop up right at the end of the story so the reader has no chance to figure out ‘who done it’. I’ve read the first two books in this series and still don’t understand the background of the lead character and her father. Both books are full of typos and mistakes, so much so that I started to add notes to my copies 🤓
