Sexy & Fun!. *ARC provided by author What a delight! I love a good monster romance novella and Lillian Lark really delivers. This book is the perfect blend of sexy and sweet that I enjoy so much from her other books and the premise is so fun! Summary: Amy is a human who loves an adventure, which is how she ends up in the woods at night looking for a lake monster. She hadn’t expected to actually find one, especially not one going into heat and awaiting their witch date. And when Adrian, the sexy lake monster in question, assumes she’s his date, she decides to go along with it. Big emotions and sexy times ensue and it’s Excellent. Tropes & Potential CWs: Oviposition, breeding, monster heat, a sexy chase scene, and lots of, uh, 💦 Perfect quick read and a great way to be introduced to Lillian Lark’s work is you’ve never read her before. Although if you haven’t and monster romance is your thing, I don’t know what you’ve been waiting for, she writes some of the best.

Eggs and se*y time. I love this book so much. This made my soul happy. The spicyness of this book was perfection. Could not get enough. Even now I am going to go back and re read. New kinks just keep coming from Ms.Lark.

Where is my own Lake Monster? 😍. It’s already been established that Lillian is a phenomenal author, but the fact that she made me fall in love with a Lake Monster? CEMENTS IT!
I LOVED this book, Adrian and Amy were perfect for each other, and this is such a cozy monster read that I enjoyed IMMENSELY. Sweet and spicy, with some very fun kinks! (primal and breeding are two major ones 🥵🥵). 
Seriously, it was HOT and some parts I had to cue the TikTok sound in my head of “Am I attracted to this?” FYI, it was Yes I am, every time 😂. This was a perfect monster novella with a monster who actually LOOKS like a monster, with ALL the feels and spice. If you like monster romance you NEED to read this one!

Super cute and sexy. 5⭐️ 5🌶 I was so excited when this ARC arrived! I've been anxiously awaiting this book since reading Caught by the Werewolf from Into the Woods: A Monster Anthology. I was so worried about the poor lake monster now that his original date was unavailable. Amy is looking for a little adventure and joins a group of monster hunters on their quest to find a monster deep in the woods. Amy finds him and one case of mistaken identity later, she goes with Adrian to his cabin to see if they want to spend his heat together. They do. I loved Amy! She knew she wanted Adrian and wasn't afraid of pursuing him. She was just as bold directing him in the bedroom. Adrian was so kind and charming, his equipment was was certainly impressive. Their chemistry was off the charts. This was everything I've come to expect and love from Lillian Lark. She continues to be a one click author for me. My new favorite cozy monster romance!. Lillian Lark is the ultimate cozy monster writer. Sometimes I forget that I am reading about an amphibian making a cute dinner in his cozy cabin for his date. Found by the Lake Monster is read best within Lark’s monster universe but it can be read as a standalone as well! Also, this cover is freaking gorgeous! Adrian is prepared to spend his heat with a witch sent by the matchmaker. So, he doesn’t question when his wards are triggered by someone walking on his land. Amy is lost in the forest after searching for the infamous lake monster until she comes crashing into him. She realizes Adrian is expecting someone else but her curiosity pushes her to play the part of his witch on a date. I swear each book that Lillian Lark publishes in this universe keeps going up a notch. Just when I think the relationship couldn’t get cuter or the monster spice couldn’t get more wild, it freaking does. If you love monster romance and you haven’t tried anything from Lillian Lark, prepare to be ADDICTED. Also, the fact that the female main character reads monster romance books…LOVE THAT. Sweet lake monster summer read. Found by the Lake Monster is Lillian Lark's latest addition to her love bathhouse monster romance universe. A gentlemanly monster in the swamp mistakes a lost human woman for a date arranged for him by a supernatural matchmaking agency, and said human woman does not correct his assumption. Emotionally and sexually charged shenanigans follow. The monster heroes of the love bathhouse universe are as sweet and satisfying as the most decadent of desserts, and resident lake monster Adrian is no different. The chemistry between him and Amy is something of instalove and lust, necessitated by a magical deadline looming over them. Nevertheless, I really liked how the characters navigated and engaged with what the time constraints and the circumstances of their coming together meant for them and the possibility of a relationship between them. I found Amy hilariously relatable in some respects and overall a sensible heroine. However, there is a key moment of the story where I found her decision-making seriously questionable. Unfortunately, it is also a pivotal plot point and I understand how it makes sense for the narrative. While I find it hard to understand the rationale behind her action in that instance, I appreciate that not all main characters have to be relatable or likeable in every aspect of their personality or choice of actions. I received an advance review copy of this book for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Didn’t Know I Liked That LOL. This little novella sucked me right in! This story was intense, intriguing, and heartwarming. Be warned: this book does contain nonhuman plus human “situations” but I think you should give it a try, you may like it lol!

I’M OFFICIALLY OBSESSED!!. *I received an ebook ARC from the author. All opinions are my own.* Oh… my… sweet… goodness… The absolute CHARM of this book! It hit me like a bat and I was in an absolute chokehold. I made the mistake of starting it one evening right before bed and I genuinely had to peel myself away from it to go to bed. Needless to say, I absolutely devoured it the very next day. When you start, you’re not going to want to stop. Amy is a human accountant, wrangled into an evening of monster hunting at the local lake. Adrian is a monster accountant (an aquatic nix, in particular) who has requested a match through the Love Bathhouse to help him get through his current heat cycle. Let’s just say, Adrian’s date never gets there, and Amy is all too willing to step into her place. I’m legit still not over how much I loved this book. Deceived by the Gargoyles has held the spot for my fave monster romance this year and Found by the Lake Monster is honestly neck and neck. Amy and Adrian have such incredibly sweet chemistry together, and I could read a whole series based on them alone. (If you’ve read Sweat & Soap, they kind of have the same kind of addictively sweet chemistry that is so fun to read!) Do not even get me started on the sexy times because my gosh are they hot. We are pro-lube in this house and there is literally no such thing as too much lube. Apparently Lillian Lark agrees with me because hot damn were the smutty scenes good! With this adorable, sweet, hot, oh so sexy, oh so CHARMING release, Lillian Lark has solidified her place as my favourite monster romance author. Please excuse me while I go flail and clutch this book with my greedy little hands. Gosh, I love this series so much!! CW: copious self-lubrication & pregnancy

Short, sweet and lots of heat!. ARC provided by author for review. Lillian Lark always manages to pack tons of heat and sweet moments into her books and this novella is no different. This can fully be read as a stand-alone, as references to other characters in her series are limited. As it’s novella, you don’t get as deep of a backstory or into the character’s psyche as you would typically find in one of her novels, but Amy and Adrian’s story is 100% worth reading!
