This. Book. Owned. Me.. This book. Ian. Vera. Yes. So many stars and all the good things. If you’re looking for unruly neighbors to more. Frenemies to more. A hot hockey romance , sex tutor scenario, look know further. This was a fantastically written tale that hits the heart, the humor and wow, the heat! I have loved all the hockey books and I second anything Sarina writes. This is no exception. Phenomenal. Highly recommend

Fantastic read!. I absolutely adored this enemies to lovers storyline. Fantastic chemistry with a bit of angst that will have you rooting for Ian and Vera. Their banter is everything! I highly recommend this read!

Sweet and charming read. I had the opportunity to listen to Love Lesson by Sarina Bowen early and I loved it. Narrated by Joe Arden and Rose Dioro, they bring Ian and Vera’s story to life. The banter was everything between these two who started as enemies to lovers and I could not stop listening. Vera was determined to make her business a success. She was sweet and caring and drove Ian crazy. Things are not going as planned for Ian, the sexy and charming hockey player. When he gets into some trouble, the team decides he needs a makeover. Enter Vera. They can help each other, right? Vera wants Ian to help her with, well, love lessons. They had some amazing chemistry and I enjoyed reading this book so much. Such a sweet and charming read. Happy reading!

Ian and Vera. This is a romance between Ian and Vera. Vera was introduced in the previous book, Shenanigans, as she works with Charli who is married to Neil and Vera also worked with Neil as his personal stylist. Ian was a new character in this book. He is enforcer on the team and in this book, he is having a tough time with his career because he ended up hurting another player from Boston. Let's say he is acting badly and so management is trying to get him to act a bit more together and mature. This story can stand alone however we see other Bruiser players in this book as the whole cast goes to Italy together over the summer. We see a lot of Charli and Neil so if you loved them in Shenanigans then you will get to see them often in this story during the vacation in Italy. In this book Ian is Vera's neighbor and well she does not love him shall we say. Ian on the other hand thinks she is HOT and would love to get together with her. But Vera is not a one night stand kind of woman, in fact she has only ever had one boyfriend who dumped her and now coming back for a second chance. But first she is excited to go with her friends on a summer vacation to Italy. This is very much a very opposite attraction type of romance as Vera and Ian have nothing in common except for friends and the fact that they are neighbors and are going to Italy for the summer. Ian would love a chance with her but Vera would love Ian as a client and if that happens Ian feels bad about lusting after her while she works for him. Ian was an awesome guy. Yeah, he is a mess at times, but he has a very strong conscience and knows the difference between right and wrong. His negative image is something he feels embarrassed about, and he really wants to do better. I loved the whole going to Italy part of the story. I almost felt like I was on vacation with all my favorite Bruisers and their women. I also loved watching Ian and Vera as they end up getting partnered during the trip and I loved watching these two together. There is a big conflict in the story as Ian falls hard for Vera and asks her to be his date for a wedding he doesn't want to attend. However, its the same night as her ex has asked her to attend a social event with him and she sees it as a chance to show him what an awesome woman he missed out on. This conflict really added to the story, and it was really a highlight for me in this story. I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Fantastic Audiobook. Who doesn’t love a good hockey romance? This girl here loves them.; especially Sarina Bowen’s Brooklyn Bruisers series. Love Lessons is the newest release in her hockey series featuring Ian and Vera. There are also plenty of appearances from other prominent series characters. That is one of the things I love most about reading a series, getting to keep tabs on favorite characters. This story features a somewhat enemies to lovers/teacher and student vibe. Ian are neighbors plus their have similar friends so they cross paths frequently. Vera and Ian are attracted to one another, but Vera is hesitant to admit it. The two find themselves off on an Italian vacation with their friends, the only 2 singletons amongst a group of happily paired couples. While in Italy, the relationship between Vera and Ian evolves. I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of Love Lessons, narrated by Joe Arden and Rose Dioro and I throughly enjoyed it. I am quite familiar with Joe Arden and his narration work. Rose Diogo is a relatively new narrator to me. I think I’ve only listened to 1 or 2 other titles narrated by her. I have to say that both did superb with this title. All in all, you can’t go wrong with Love Lessons. It is a fun, sassy and entertaining read.

Ticked all my boxes. I love catching up with the Brooklyn Bruisers and this time it’s Ian and Vera’s story. The team management have decided to improve Ian’s image he needs a makeover and it’s his new neighbour and friend of his teammates partners, Vera who offers her services but Ian is convinced that a makeover isn’t needed so how will Vera convince him to get some help. The attraction is instant and when Vera asks him for help in the art of seduction, Ian decides to do the neighbourly thing and help a friend out….. Vera is about to find out that “seduction is all about anticipation “ but who will she end up seducing.. This is a fun, steamy, heartwarming read that I highly recommend, I laughed, I swooned and I sighed a lot as I joined Ian, Vera and the gang on a romantic trip to Italy. Love Lessons is a perfect addition to one of my favourite hockey romances and I can’t wait to see where Ms Bowen takes us next.

Entertaining. I really enjoyed Ian and Vera’s story. It was fun, witty and entertaining and ticked a number of boxes for me. I fell hard and fast for these characters, particularly Ian who is totally swoon worthy. Narrated by Joe Arden and Rose Dioro who both did a good job bringing this story to life for me. They were easy to listen to with pleasant voices that did justice to Ian and Vera’s. They brought all the feels with their performances. There were moments where I laughed, moments where I was moved to tears and moments where I just sighed and smiled. The chemistry between them was intense and their banter was witty. Ian needs a makeover and Vera is happy to help Ian as long as he agrees to help her by by giving her lessons in seduction. On paper these two should not work as they are total opposites and yet they are well suited to one another if only they can open their eyes and see what is right in front of them. However both have baggage and they need to come to terms with the past before their relationship can develop. This was an entertaining listen and one I really enjoyed.

Love Lessons. Love Lessons by Sarina Bowen Ian is having a horrible year and is in the bad books with the team as well as in the ever-seeing eyes of media. He needs to clean up his image stat and team management think he needs a stylist. As it happens, his neighbor, Vera is a stylist but to say these two mix as well as oil and vinegar is a gross understatement. Vera, a fashionista, needs lessons in love and seduction and the two strike an arrangement - quid pro quo, if you will. What was not to love about this book? The chemistry, the banter, the friendships, the freaking SETTING were all so perfect and I devoured this book quicker than you can say what chapter are you on! The characters personal development as well as their relationship were so organic and I was loving every bit of it. I particularly love it when two people are complete opposites on paper manage to create magic when they get past that. This is such an excellent addition to the Brooklyn Bruisers series and you can definitely read it as a standalone - but why would you? The whole series is just fantastic. *I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.

Opposites attract amazingness!. 4.5 stars The way the last book ended you knew it was going to be Crikey and Vera for this book and I loved them! They are complete opposites and they bicker all the time and it was hilarious and fun, but damn do they get steamy in the bedroom! Such amazing chemistry! Vera seems so confident and everything, but she has so many layers and history that make her more complex. I loved Crikey for her and her for him. Though opposites they complimented each other so wonderfully. I just love this series and all the characters you get to continue to see in every book!
