Never. Tell. Sisters one a sheriff another with the FBI, when they come together to work on a cold case and another sister is missing. Killer is on a rampage, upscale hotel, in this small lakeside town. A gripping story and a good beginning. The author knows how to give us a gripping story that I enjoy his writing. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
Fun read. Fun read but I hope the plot develops more in the next book. It has been a little slow to start so far

This second installment in the May Moore series involves another serial killer in her small Minnesota town that she works to solve while dealing with her family, sister, and her missing sister’s case. While working on this case, her FBI agent sister comes back to town with big news that her parents flock to (no shocker there) and continues to leave May out of again. But this time, May uses what her sister wants to help herself and her case, and she shows her sister that she’s not the only sibling that can work a murder investigation too. As May investigates and figures out what’s going on, it’s potentially too late, as she puts herself in the sights of the killer, but thankfully things work out for her, and in the end, she gets big news about her missing sister’s case. I can’t wait to see what happens next for May! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Fast paced. May has a murder to solve just when her sister Kerry, an FBI agent, arrives with happy news. Competitive since childhood, Kerry wants the FBI to take over the case but May refuses. There is an unpopular businessman building hotels with no care for the environment or the locals. With fellow deputy Owen Lovell by her side and the full support of Sheriff Jack, May doesn’t let anything stop her from finding the killer and putting an end to other illegal activities. The story was good, but the writing did not seem to be at the level I expect from Blake Pierce. At times, it seemed like a teenager was writing dialogue. I am interested enough in the main character finally standing up to her parents and hopefully finding love closer than she expects to read the next entry.
