Amazing. This book is AMAZING. Melissa Foster has once again shown us fantastic characters that she brings to life as the story of Sully and Cowboy unfolds. I was patiently waiting for this one and I was thrilled. It brought tears and laughter and broke my heart as I read about Sully’s journey to finding herself. Cowboy was such a supportive and protective person you couldn’t help but fall in love with him. Every girl needs her own Cowboy. Melissa Foster deserves all the accolades for the sensitivity in this difficult and healing story.

For the Love of Whiskey. Melissa Foster isn’t afraid to take chances, writing a story that is so relevant, it’s extra heartbreaking knowing what Sully went through is playing out in real life. Sullivan “Sully” Tate saved herself by escaping a cult called the Free Rebellion. Ending up on Redemption Ranch in Hope Valley, CO was an unexpected gift. Terrified to trust, but brave enough to risk it. Sully proves to be a woman of indomitable spirit. It’s that spirit that gives her hope, strength and courage to overcome the darkest of shadows and seek to build a new life. Callahan "Cowboy" Whiskey is the perfect protector in every way, giving Sully what she needs to assert her independence even in small things we might see as insignificant. A patient and good listener who shows her that not all men are the same. The ways in which he helps her thrive is what makes him a hero above all others, always putting her first and securing his spot as “book boyfriend extraordinaire“! Trust, friendship, intense attraction and a true soul deep connection that turns to love. This book has it all in spades. These two people complement each other in ways only true soulmates can. This book is worth taking a day off and reading it in one sitting. Warning: be prepared to ugly cry, but fill your heart to capacity.

Emotional Masterpiece!. Sully and Callahan’s story is such a rawm heartbreakingly beautiful love story. It takes a special author to be able to create a story with such emotional depth and vulnerability and yet still be filled with so much hope and love — which is the core of all Melissa Foster books and why she is always a go-to author for me. While Sully and Callahan’s story might be considered quick considering Sully’s past, the core of the story rings true - spiritual connections and true love. As with all Melissa’s stories — the secondary characters are fun (I’m looking at you, Birdie), the banter is hilarious and the sexy times are as sweet as they are steamy.

Love This incredibly Heartbreaking Love Story. I absolutely loved For the Love of Whiskey by Melissa Foster; it is an incredible love story. It is the second book in her The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch series. It filled me with a rollercoaster of emotions that no words can accurately describe. Melissa Foster continues to show that she is an amazing storyteller. I love that Melissa Foster continues to write the books that I love to read. It was impossible to put For the Love of Whiskey down and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? Sully and Cowboy are my favorite Melissa Foster couple. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. For the Love of Whiskey is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments that I have come to love and expect in a Melissa Foster love story. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. For the Love of Whiskey is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, Melissa Foster did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. I love how Melissa Foster always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. My favorite part is how Melissa Foster incorporates the picture on the cover into the love story. For the Love of Whiskey is the story of Callahan “Cowboy” Whiskey, rancher at his family’s ranch, Redemption Ranch and a member of the Dark Knights and Sullivan “Sully” Tate/Cassandra “Casey” Lawler, who recently escaped from an anti-establishment cult in West Virginia and is living in a cabin at Redemption Ranch while she recovers. Sully and Cowboy meet when Cowboy, his parents and the Dark Knights show up at the home of Carol and Chester Finch to escort her to Redemption Ranch. Chester rescued Sully the night of her escape and took her to his home. Cowboy sits outside of Sully’s cabin at night to keep her safe, since she fears that Rebel Joe, leader of the Free Redemption cult will find her. As Sully and Cowboy continue to spend time together, their feelings for each other start to change, but Cowboy takes things slowly with Sully. I love the chemistry between Sully and Cowboy. I love that Cowboy suggests that Sully make a list of all the things that she has never done but wants to do. I love her list, some of the items on her list are heartbreaking and I love that Cowboy helps her cross off the items from her list. I love everything that Cowboy does for Sully, even the things that she does not know he did. Sully is receiving counseling from Cowboy’s mother, Wynnie. Wynnie suggests that Sully take a DNA test to see if she has any family, she is concerned about the results since her “uncle” told her that her mother could not raise her. Cowboy believes that she is Cassandra “Casey” Lawler who went missing twenty years ago when she was the lone survivor of a car accident that took the lives of her parents. Cowboy has kept the flyer, that her sister Jordan created with the help of her fiancé Jax, about her disappearance in his wallet, because he felt some connection to her. I love that Sully and Cowboy how they share secrets with each other that they have not shared before, especially everything that Sully endured at the hands of Rebel Joe and his men. The DNA results reveal that she is Casey, and Sully agrees to meet with Jordan and her aunt and uncle. A surprise plot twist and Sully admitting her feelings changes things between them. I love everything that Cowboy does to resolve the plot twist. I love all the heart-to-heart and heartbreaking conversations that take place between Sully and Cowboy especially the gut-wrenching dialogue when she reveals her darkest secrets. I love that Sully calls him Callahan instead of Cowboy and what name she chooses. I love that Sully continues to have a friendship with Ansel, her best friend at Free Redemption. I love Cowboy’s proposal, and the significance of the engagement ring that he created for Sully. I love the ending of their love story. I love how both Sully and Cowboy change because of their love for one another and all the changes that they made in their lives to have a life with each other. I love that Cowboy admits his true feelings for Sully, feelings he did not reveal, because he did not want to put pressure on Sully to stay at Redemption Ranch. For the Love of Whiskey is filled with poignant and bittersweet moments as well as plot twists. I love how Melissa Foster hints at the identity of the next Whiskey sibling and how For the Love of Whiskey is interconnected to Then Came Love. I love the characters and the family dynamic in For the Love of Whiskey the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Whiskey siblings, and Cowboy’s interactions with them, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love Sully’s relationship with Cowboy’s sisters, Sasha, and Birdie. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed For the Love of Whiskey. Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

Sully and Cowboy. I have waited for Sully's story ever since she was introduced to us in Jordan and Jax's HEA with bated breath, and in true Melissa Foster fashion I was not disappointed. Sully not only found her place in this world but found her family, her voice, and her forever. A serious subject was covered in this book and it was done with grace and dignity to allow the character to come into herself on her timeline, while in real life it could take longer you understand why things moved in time the way they did.

Loved it. PHENOMENAL. Melissa at her absolute best. There aren’t words to describe how much I LOVED Callahan and Sully. My heart was invested from page one!

One of my top stories!!. I really enjoyed Sully and Callahan’s (Cowboy) story! Regardless of the timelines their connection is true and deep. Sully is strong willed and now that she’s free and gaining more confidence she wants to experience so much. She’s so very fortunate to have been taken in by such loving, supportive and nurturing people at Redemption Ranch. And having Callahan as her protector as well as a man that will let her find herself and encourages her to spread her wings and go after what she wants and needs is so special for Sully. He is always looking out for her and her best interests. This is one of my top favorite stories.

Grab the tissues romance. Melissa Foster ALWAYS fills her books with so much emotion and Callahan/Cowboy and Sully did not disappoint. Grab this gut wrenching journey of Sully to the heart warming connection with Callahan, enjoy the building of family and friendship but most of all get ready to bawl your eyes out for the love of Cowboy and Sully. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Cowboy 🐴 Sully. This storyline is both heart and gut wrenching, an emotional roller-coaster. Melissa Foster does not back down from including storylines about the dark side of life, while at the same time seeking justice for the innocent. All the while she weaves love and healing into the story. Sully’s story will tear out your heart, make you cry, piss you off and shout encouragement over and over. Cowboy is the perfect balance of support, overprotectiveness, kindness, and love for Sully. A wonderfully written story of redemption and love.

For The Love of Whiskey ( The Whiskeys ) by Melissa Foster. This was a fantastic book so full of emotions . Sully had been taken at the age of four and taken and raised in a cult . Callahan and his family helped people and animals after abuse and life had damaged their lives . This is Sully’s telling of her abuse at the hands of the males while at the compound and then her escape . Her story will break your heart .

Finding healing and love. Phew - the feels in this book - laughing, crying, swooning, cringing, teeth gritting, and cheering. It packs quite an emotional punch. The story was expertly written, meticulously planned and flawlessly delivered and included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and a captivating storyline. Sully was kidnapped when she was 4 and brought to a cult where she suffered isolation, abuse and deprivation. After 2 decades she escaped and ends up at Redemption Ranch. Cowboy’s family runs Redemption Ranch to help others heal. He feels connected to the young girl from the missing poster and that connection is instant for Sully as well. Their deeper relationship develops organically and naturally as Sully begins her healing journey. I just loved the way Cowboy gently, lovingly, and beautifully helped Sully come out of the prison of her past experiences and begin to shine even when he knows he might only have her in his life briefly. The story included sweet moments, painful pasts, steamy scenes, supportive family and friends, heart clenches, fun, healing, and love. All of Melissa Foster’s books have a central theme of family - those we are born into and those we create - and so much beautiful heart squeezing love. This book is no exception, Redemption Ranch and the families that live there are the embodiment of family and love. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Yes! Read the book!. Omg so many emotions in one book! I love it!

What a read!. What a read! Callahan has worked hard to build a life on the ranch, and has made it his whole personality and life, staying single and unattached so he can keep his focus on his career. Sullivan has run away from the cult that she’s grown up in, terrified after she finds out that the members are looking for her but is determined to get away after the abuse she has suffered at their hands for years. Initially Callahan is not thrilled with watching over Sullivan, but as he gets to know her, he starts to develop feelings, and he works to give her all the firsts on her list that she never experienced. As she continues to spend time with Callahan, Sullivan starts to develop the same feelings, especially seeing how he works to give her everything she never had due to the cult. I loved how these two built a relationship and the shock of the book finding out Sullivan’s true identity, and it made it such a great read. I can’t wait to see who’s next from Redemption Ranch! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

“Your heart held the key to opening mine.”. From the moment I began reading “For the Love of Whiskey” I fell in love with Sully and Callahan’s special friendship as he patiently held her hand and reassured her that she was finally safe and that she could count on him to chase away her fears. Callahan is so dreamy and I quickly fell under his spell as he proudly showed Sully around the ranch. I could envision Sully’s expression, wide-eyed and curious, as she took in the rescue horses and beautiful scenery as she contemplated how wonderful life could be. Callahan is a thoughtful and caring man who was never in a rush when it came to Sully’s feelings and he let her decide how much she wanted to share with him about her past. He listened intently to Sully and offered advice when needed, and a friendly hug when things got to be too much. Over time, he watched the light return to Sully’s eyes and her smile became even brighter, as she worked hard to put the darkness behind her. Callahan knew he was in over his head with his feelings for Sully, but there was nothing he could do about it. Callahan was certain that fate had brought them together and he vowed to always keep her safe, make her smile, and promise her the world.

What a strong woman!. Sully was finally successful from escaping the compound that she had been raised in. A trucker had picked her up and brought her home with him. They got in touch with the Dark Knights to help her out. Not only a nice cabin to stay in but therapy to help her past. When Cowboy went with his parents to pick her up he saw something in her eyes and he knew he needed to figure out who she really was. Cowboy who is Callahan has always looked out for everyone and never really had any relationships but he was falling hard for Sully. Rebel Joe was the leader of the compound and let’s just say he got what was coming to him! I loved how Cowboy just showered Sully with gifts and her to do list was amazing! It was sad to see all the things Sully had no clue about, cell phones, rom-com movies, etc. I received this ARC for free from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Touching story. This is such a touching story. There are a lot of emotions and it is more than just a romance, the redemption ranch offers more than a place to stay. I loved their story but I loved Sulky’s journey even more.

Rollercoaster to forever!. Oh my!! Callahan “Cowboy” Whiskey and Sullivan “Sully” Tate were just amazing. Melissa Foster has knocked this one out of the park! From the moment their story started you could just feel the angst, passion, love, and every other emotion you can think come off the page. I think Cowboy has just become my favorite Whiskey at Redemption Ranch so far. Callahan “Cowboy” Whiskey is a born protector. From the moment he sees Sully when his family takes her in/rescues her to keep her safe, Cowboy has done nothing but protect and try his best not to fall for her. Easier said than done. Sully found the strength to escape an oppressive cult where she was held captive for the last 20 years/since she was 4 yrs old. With the help of everyone at Redemption Ranch Sully begins to heal and find her own “voice” and confidence. Will Cowboy claim his true love or will he allow her to leave the ranch for what he believes her life should become? Will Sully accept Cowboy’s decision or will she use that new found voice of hers to fight for her heart? Love big families that love big? Then you will love For the Love of Whiskey!! *****

So good!. WOW! this is a rollercoaster of emotions read and I absolutely loved it! I first meet Sully and Callahan, Cowboy, in Then Came Love which is her sister's story and have been eagerly waiting for their story ever since, and I wasn't disappointed. Sully has quite a story and it isn't sugar coated. Cowboy is instantly drawn to her and knows she's escaping the only life she has known and needs to work out who she is, but that does not stop him from becoming her protector. Sully connects to Cowboy quickly and starts to learn things about herself and life all while falling quickly for the over-protective Cowboy. Their HEA is not an easy road, but so worth the ride. This is a little different from other books by Melissa Foster dealing with abduction, cults, escape and lost families. It does make you go through quite a range of emotions, but I found this added to the story and helped me connect to the characters. Sully's story is available if you want to read more after this one and it helps you to know her better.

His protective, caring, loving and nurturing nature not only gave Sully warm fuzzy feelings but me too. This story is emotional, gritty, heartfelt and at times heart stopping. Although I love the Whiskey family, Callaghan and Sully’s story stole my heart. It’s still in repair days later!

Loved it. I was riveted to this story from the first chapter to the last. Having read and loved the previous book in this series I could not wait to dive in . It was wonderful being back at Redemption Ranch . Set in Hope Ridge, Colorado this was an emotional roller coaster of a read about Callahan (Cowboy) Whiskey and Sullivan (Sully) Tate and it was a wonderful addition to the series. The love of family shines through in this book and I admit that I was moved to tears on a number of occasions. I fell hard and fast for Cowboy, such a swoon worthy, protective and loving man and Sully, what can I say? Sully is a woman I admired greatly, she has been through so much and survived; her strength and determination an inspiration. This was a beautifully written, emotional, passionate story that held me captive from the start. One click this little gem, you won’t be disappointed.

Aiden Snow and Meg Sylvan did an amazing job bringing the characters and story to life and made it feel like you are on the ranch with everyone. Cowboy and Sully. Absolutely amazing book!!. A story of strength and overcoming adversity, with family, horses and love. Sully found a way to escape a torturous life to safety and freedom. With the help of Callahan (Cowboy) and his family at Redemption Ranch she’s able to grow, heal, find her sister - who had been hoping and looking for her for years. She feels an instant connection with Callahan, but does she feel safe enough to act on it. Cowboy born and raised on Redemption Ranch and a Dark Knight knows what his life looks like. The ranch and the Dark Knights are his life but why does a flyer of a missing 4 year old girl call to him. Who is this girl and is she still alive, he meets Sully fresh out of her escape and needing a safe place to heal. He helps her feel safe while falling in love at the same time. Come along for the ride of ups and downs as they navigate the path of Sully’s freedom and the start of her new life. Will love be enough, will she go home with her sister to Maryland or will she stay with Callahan on the Ranch. Amazing book, can’t wait for more Redemption Ranch books to get to know all of Cowboy’s siblings and more about Sully as she grows into her own person.

Read this book, Sully is her own HERO in this book. My Number #1 book While reading Sully’s journey to survive a horrible life and her escape from this horrible life, she became my hero! From the baby who was kidnapped, punished for voicing her opinions, tortured for trying to escape, raped and life as a hostage within the only family she new! This book had butterflies in my tummy, I was so scared for Sully. I was on edge and felt her nerves, I relished at her strength and loved how she stood her ground even with a gorgeous cowboy, trying his best to rescue her. She didn’t need a hero as she was the hero of her own story, she needed a partner to walk her new journey with. Callahan (Cowboy) has always been knowns as a rescuer but with Sully she’s different, he’s been assigned to protect her but her strength and courage opened his heart to so much more! The way he gets redemption for the torture Sully endured, had me yelling YES!!! I’m not a fan of gross or violent but this was definitely redemption in the best way. I honestly tell all my family and friends to read this book it’s so good. Melissa has written it so well that I honestly felt like I was watching a movie while reading. #1 book for sure!!!
