Enjoyed!!!!!. My Review: Wow!!!!! Loved!!!!! Shocked!!!!! Twisted!!!!! These are just a few words I would use to describe this book. Carla Kovach is one of my favorites authors and this book proved why. When you pick up one of her books you are in for a real treat. In fact, for the past month now I started reading from the very beginning this authors fabulous Detective Gina Harte Series. I did have to put them on hold so I could pick up this wonderful stand alone by her. I’m so glad I did though. She really hit this one out of the ballpark. This book was about a small town with many big secrets that were bursting at the seams to be let out. This book started off by trying to find out what happened to baby Jess but by the end you find out so much more than that. You find out everyone in is this town had something to hide. You couldn’t trust not one single person in this whole entire book. The biggest secrets though were kept for last and boy they were all a doozy. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. That ending was crazy and I was left speechless. Thank you for such a great book. Carla Kovach you keep writing them and I will definitely keep reading them. I can’t wait to get back to your Detective Gina Harte Series. In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

So boring. After over 500 pages I called it a day. Nothing was happening but angst. The characters were unreal, and so unbelievable. I do NOT recommend this book.

Poorly written. Didn’t even get far enough into it to comment on the plot line. The author clearly has no idea how to write. It was a struggle to get through the first few pages- the sentences are overly long, seeming to be missing commas to break them up, and descriptions and dialogue feel wooden, basic and immature. Do not recommend.

Average read. Certainly not one of Carla’s best, very basic plot, quite repetitive. I kept going to find out the ending but it was hard work.
