Enthralling. This was a great read. Had to finish it without interruption. Now, I’m on to the next book in the series.

So So at Best. Poor character development and not realistic on police work. An FBI agent can’t close cases and get successful prosecution by relying on gut instinct. Based on this book, Harley’s instincts aren’t all that accurate anyway.

I enjoyed the book. First time reading from this author. I have to say I enjoyed this book and the characters.

Nowhere Safe. Her past and her future is all unresolved, going from one killer case to another. Till she bent the rules, with time to look at her past when there was another killer in her home town to deal with. Good adventure to the end. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

No Where Safe. I disliked Harley Cole. She’s a self-centered, arrogant know-it-all. The story itself was interesting, but it was difficult getting past her rudeness and superior attitude.

A good story. This book was written at a good pace. I enjoyed it.

Page turner. Really enjoyed this book. I got really engrossed with the characters which felt like true characteristics with real feelings. Not over embellished and didn’t keep repeating facts, which is a great attribute of the author.

Great read. This is not really a genre that I choose when looking for books but this book was a amazing read. The storyline flowed and you couldn’t tell who did it until the final pages.

Familiar tropes and cliches, anyone?. The author is American. She writes crime thrillers, initially self published. There are 4 series so far, all of which seem to be based around feisty, young female FBI profilers with problematic upbringings. Actually, one series might be about a feisty female cop, who just aspires to join the FBI. I’m not sure. The protagonist here is brilliant at catching serial killers, but not so good at doing things “by the book.” Banished on leave by her spiteful male boss, she reluctantly goes to visit her estranged father, now dying in New Mexico, but loses focus on him after the local special agent in charge asks for her help with a brace of unexplained dead chicks in disused mines. Yada, yada. The end.

First of a decent series.. Very engaging and easy to read.

One of those books you won’t want to put down. Drew me in straight away and I had to keep reading to find out what happened.

Good but flawed. This book was an easy read, and entertaining. However, there were a few flaws in the story that jump right off the page.
