Book is good. I enjoy reading this book. I like the movie and I read the reviews that the book was better so I had to read it. I’m 15 years old and i don’t find it disturbing. I enjoy more the parts where Susie watches from earth and tells what’s going on.

Excellent read...and reread.. Tear jerking, heartwarming, honest and hopeful. I love it more each time I read it.

Beautiful, Addicting & Heartbreaking!. I had seen the movie and heard about the book a million times, but couldn't believe how good the book is once i started reading it! The movie, while it was good, does not do it justice. This book was so heartbreaking, interesting, visually stunning and compelling. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a read!

One of the best books I’ve ever read. This riveting story of a girl who was killed and how she sees things after she’s gone is just so captivating. It’s so hard to put this book down. There’s no lack of reality hitting you. Surprising actions, words, and tension just makes you want to keep reading. Highly recommended.

One of the best books I've ever read. I am eleven years old in the sixth grade. I've always been the kind of girl that absolutely adored reading. However, when I entered the sixth grade, my taste changed. It was difficult for me to find books that appealed to me in my school library. Usually, I only read when I was forced to by a teacher. That said, one day my best friend walked into our language class with a book called "The Lovey Bones." I immediately remembered a time when I was eight years old. Me and my eldest sister watched the movie based on the book. I told my friend this, and told her that it was an excellent book. About a week later, she completed the novel. She was astounded; and insisted that I read it as well. I started reading it that same day. I was just as amazed as she was. Just ending the first chapter gave me chills. The exquisite detail and amazing story line already beginning with a mystery..it was great. Another week or so later I finished the book, too. I was amazed. I remembered loving the movie so much I was expecting that it would be better than the book itself. I've never been more wrong! This book was so much better than the movie, in my opinion. Now, me and my friend have passed it on to another classmate. They're on the second chapter now, I believe. She is dumbfounded, just as we were. Being the kind of picky person I am, it was truly amazing that I found this book so magnificent. I highly recommend kids, teens, and adults of any age to read this amazing book. I assure you- you will not retreat it.

VERY GOOD BOOK. I saw the movie and thought it was pretty good so I got the book. And tbh, the book is amazing. The writer did a phenomenal job writing it. The characters will really touch you. And although it is quite a sad story, it somehow has a spark of happiness in it. Defiantly one of my favorite books of all time. Highly recommend!

Amazing. I had found The Lovely Bones when I watched the movie on Netflix. It became my number one favorite movie and I wanted so badly to read the book. I didn’t think anything could top the movie, until after I had read the book. Mind. Blowing.

Lovely. I love the book itself as well as the movie. They both made me cry. This is the most moving story I have ever read. And I can read this book and watch the movie over and over again and cry. One of my favorites. Thank you.

It was okay.. Started off really strong then got really slow in the middle. I've been an avid reader my whole life and I usually finished a book in a few days, this was the first book I actually wanted to put down. Not a bad read but I definitely wouldn't read it again.

Well-written, Remains superior to the film adaptation!. And I thought the movie was good. This book has great complexity and the author does very well in developing many characters in the story. I can never watch the film again and see the characters in the same way, with the information that I know have of them from the novel. Lesson: Read the book, before you watch the movie. They take out a lot of stuff that makes the book, the book.

Well.... Susie's in heaven, by now her mom, dad and grandparents are there with her, and her sister will be joining her soon as well. They're going to have a lot to talk about.

Fantastic read. I picked this up in high school years ago and fell in love. A fantastic story about accepting tragedy, grief, and the growing pains of moving on. I highly recommend this boom to any and everyone.

Good read... Not amazing. It's a good, thought provoking read, but I wouldn't say it was a real page turner. I would set it down for several days at a time and then come back to it.

This book had me hooked. Once I started reading I could not put it down. On some parts I was a little scared but still had to keep reading. This family could've been anybody's family it hits so close to home and makes you reconsider how much actually trust your neighbors. The book is very detailed. It makes me feel like I was there and I was a part of this family. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Love this book. I got this book in Chinese edition as a gift from my ex-boyfriend when I was about 15. I love this book so much. The first chapter about how she died was a little scary for me, but the rest of the book was really a touching story. I laugh and cry for this book and I'm buying an English edition to read it again.

Best Book Ever. This is one of the best books by Alice Sebold you could ever spend some money buying to read. I didn't think of it to be so interesting but since the day I started I just couldn't stop and absolutely love the book ... Even tho I'm a little late I can't wait to watch the movie 😊

I loved it. It succeeded to me a little bit more than the movie to me I enjoyed reading it.

Not a page Turner but a sweet story.. It was cute and sweet but I expected more action...

Decent read. I was actually a bit disappointed with the book. I had heard many good things about it but frankly I found it to be a bit boring and in a way it seemed to be sort of monotone in its narrative. It was overall an interesting read, but I didn't find it to be worth the $6.99 I paid on the iTunes bookstore.

Recommend to all!. This book is by far so much better then the movie! I fell into this book and finished it within hours! Great book.

It was way more detailed than the movie!. So I've seen the movie a bunch of times and always wanted to read the book. With that being said I'm glad I did. There's a lot more that happens in the book than in the movie that I wish they would have put in it but yeah the book was very good 😊

Great!. After reading reviews I was very unsure about the book, however, a member of my book club picked it and I had no choice. The beginning was not near as morbid as a lot of reviews made it out to be and I felt the end fit the story well. I myself lost my best friend at a young age and the ending gave me comfort. If your looking for a book about Heaven and God this is not your book! The beginning is very sad so go ahead and buy some tissues. The struggle the family has dealing with the loss I felt was very true to life. This is a great story with an ending you will never see coming!

Poorly written. For once, the movie seems to have outshined the book. What had the potential to be legendary marvel of literature was masked behind terrible transitioning and a mass of over description. This book will lose the reader from one paragraph to the next until the point of frustration. Save your money. Watch the movie.

Great read & learning lesson. This is a great book for any age. The way it talks about death and what happens after has changed my perception.

Very good. The thing that stood out in this book for me is the author's way of explaining the family's emotions and feelings after the tragedy. This to me was the most interesting part and had me teary-eyed, however towards the middle it starts to slow down a bit much. Overall a good book, and if you like to get emotional this one's for you.

She’s a liar. This author ruined the life of a man she wrongfully accused. Why read the books of an author who couldn’t show any level of remorse or regret for ruining his life and gives a halfhearted apology with no ownership of her error. She apologized deflecting her mistake to the justice system but no sweetie you did this you did this to him you didn’t even own up to it. Don’t give this woman anymore of your money until she starts paying this man back for the 16years of damage she did to him

very mysterious book that keeps you hooked. the book was really good and it keeps you hooked so you read and read until it’s finished. i recommend to people who are looking for a good and mysterious book.

The lovely bones. It was a wonderful book. Though I only got to chapter two. Chapter one was disturbing because my grandma was raped at that age, by a neighbor, but she wasn't killed. I guess its life, its truth. It is a good book. I would like to buy the full version soon.

The lovely bones. Ok... I'm the type of person who hates reding, but I absolutely loved this book!! It was fully of love and mystery and was told very well. The detail is amazing! I love it <3

The lovely bones. An interesting story, how after a girl is murdered, she is still able to live in the peoples hearts that she left behind. The ending was alittle weak, would of loved seeing the killer meet her father.

The Lovely Bones. This book was good. A very interesting perspective on the story telling which gave the whole book great appeal. I skipped over much of the lengthy description as the story line got somewhat lost otherwise and I found myself having to go back to pick up on the events that were going on; however if you don't put the book down it would flow more easily. A reassuring take on death.
