Black ice. True Detective Bosch style. Brilliant reading.

Black Ice. I spent $1.99 to read a book that a I couldn't put down. Awesome!

Excellent. Great read. The price didn't do it justice.

The best. I think this is the best written of the Bosch series. Perhaps The Last Coyote comes close. The latest books seem to be written by a committee but this is literature. Don’t get me wrong. I still love the latest books. But this book rings true to the heart. And is so well written and beautiful in prose and style. It is nothing but a masterpiece. They should teach this in the English departments in colleges. Teach how this genre brings forth truths and angst and love like any great book. And no one does it better than Connelly. No one.

Black Ice. Character development mingles duplicity and dualities in a plot of pathos and poetic symbolism. - We are caught in a puzzle as Bosch wends through his life, his city, and twin border towns of mexico - finding "truth" that wants to hide and pieces of "good" where none exists.

Voices. The book is fine; however it's the SAME voices as used in Patriot! NO changes in voice what so ever, so it is confusing more than half way through the book as to who is who.

Guessed right. Great read! I kinda hoped my guess about a particular direction might be interesting and it turned out to be a good guess! I don’t want to say much more if you catch my drift. Connelly hits another winner! Enjoy!

Loved Black Ice!. This is my first Michael Connelly book I have read, and I absolutely loved it. From beginning to end I was hooked. I would definitely recommend this book to people who love reading about law enforcement, narcotics, murders, twist and turns in the plot, with a lot of action and thrills to go with it. I also liked how Connelly used reference to actual geographic location, such as street names in the Hollywood/L.A. & Mexicali area. Makes the story feel real. This is Connellys second book to this series. The first book is named "The Black Echo." I have not had the chance to read it, but will now. The third installment is due out next month. Harry Bosch is the main character and will keep you in suspence with his never giving up attitude. He will take you on a journey to solve police cases that involve a string of murders from the streets of Hollywood to Mexicali. You have to buy the book to get all the exciting details.

A great book by Connely. This book was captivating and rewarding to read. It made me wish for future success of Harry Bosch's future romance life. A well told suspenseful story. Good Reading and Cheers, Fenning

Great Book. I have read quite a few Bosch books. But this one was probably my favorite. Never boring, great characterization, an enjoyable read through out.

A good one. I enjoyed this. Characters were well written and entertaining. I burst out laughing at some parts and am still unsure whether they are supposed to be funny.

Another great story. I have not read a Harry Bosch novel I didn't like

The Black Ice. A good recreational read. That is I found it entertaining and interesting enough to keep going back and finish the book. Perhaps there are parts that are hard to find believable but we are talking fiction here so small stretches are okay. I read this using my iPad2 and find this medium a great way to have recreational reading available when I travel. This book is an example of fun reading when traveling and the iPad makes it possible to carry several books without bulk. Bob from Canada
