Excellent Book. I would say this book is priced incorrectly? No way.

An adventure. This started my wonderful journey.

Disgustingly wonderful!. This is an incredibly well told story, it was impossible to put down. I loved the characters and felt as though I had met them. It's been a long time since I have had this enjoyable of a read. You'd be cheating yourself if you didn't read this book.

Umm.... Great book, but why can I get this at Barnes & Noble for $7 but it's $22 on here? I will not be purchasing this until it drops in price...

For this price? It's a steal!. This is a great book in a series of great books. Like other reviewers mentioned, you don't need to have read previous Pendergast novels to enjoy this one. Creepy and mysterious, I read this in two days. If there isn't a typo, $.99 is an insanely good price for this book.

Childhood Fave. As odd as that sounds, it's true. I first red this book when I was a kid and it was my favorite book for years.

Gripping.. Loved it.

Loved it!. Great collaboration. The character development is ultra good. It is one of my favorites of this duo. I am re-reading Thunderhead to keep my excitement at bay for their new release.

Leave logic at the door. I prefer some hint of realism in books I take time to read. None discovered in this book with poor storyline and even worse developed characters.

Couldn't put it down. I really liked this book! The characters were great. The story was written in a way that kept you wanting to know what was going to happen next. So I read the book in a few days, and had a hard time putting it down. I can't believe it only cost me $0.99. Now I want to read other books by these authors.

Disappointing. Good start, but looses way half way thru... And ending is really boring n stretched out

T.M.I.. I am certainly not an expert at writing book reviews... I am just a normal reader who enjoys a good book. This book was ok. I didn't guess the "who done it". I must confess, I probably read only half of this book and skimmed the other half. There just was so much clutter to sift through! Writing that seemed to me to be filler to make the novel thick. Had I known how much I would be skimming to get to the actual story, I would have never purchased or bothered to read this book.

Thoroughly enjoyable. Having never read a book by these authors, I had no idea what to expect. This book was well-written, well-paced, and thoroughly enjoyable. The characters are likable, the mystery is fun but not too complex, and I will definitely be looking into more books by these two. Word of warning to any archaeologists like myself: these two authors have little idea what archaeology entails, but it doesn't harm the story and will make you smile.

Wonderful. Great characters, exciting story line ... love this one the best so far!

One of the best series for forensics/thrill. Quick-paced and fascinating. Highly recommend this series to lovers of crime, suspense, and forensics.

Dreck. Although there are a few nice turns of phrase, this story is so very dumb, that I find the five-star reviews almost incomprehensible. Add to that some seriously annoying characters, and all I want to know is, can I get those nights I wasted reading this junk back? Please.

Great Read. Really enjoyed this book, didn't want to put it down, but life happens. I thought it was a little drawn out in the end, but I really enjoy the Pentegast books.

My favorite novel. It's gory, it keeps you reading until your eyes hurt, it's the ultimate thriller. These authors are fantastic, all their books are a great read.
