Thank you. As the mother of a learning disabled teenager, it brought back the feelings and thoughts I had when my son was young. I would do anything to help him, but just like Denise I knew that I could not make friends for him or make people accept him. I thank you Mr. Sparks for understanding and capturing this in print in a way that others can understand.

Would somebody PLEASE turn this book into a movie?!?. This is probably the best of the five books I’ve read by Nicholas Sparks! Sweet and very, very sad! I love Denise’s little boy, Kyle, as much as I love Taylor and Denise! Hey, Hollywood, grow a brain! Turn this into A MOVIE!!!

I couldn't put it down!!. Who ever says this is a bad and boring book had no taste whatsoever because one I read the first page to this I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!!! It's wonderful how Taylor and Denise fall in love and name their child after Mitch, Taylor's best friend who died in a fire while Taylor tried to save him, and how Taylor legally adopted Kyle after him and Denise hit married. Like seriously who wouldn't like this book

Amazing. It was such a great book about how a single mother struggles to balance her child's care and a guy friend! Which was truley amazing and a tear jerker!

Prepare to cry!. Love this book! It made me laugh and cry!

Very good book. Like all of nicholas sparks' books, this one was fantastic!

A good editor could have made this 4 stars. My first Nicholas Sparks book. His name was brought up in my book group each time we were selecting a book, but none of his books were ever selected. The framework of this book had so much potential... The editor should be ashamed... Numerous uses of a single phrase like "she had been around long enough to know that...". Parts were so detailed and parts so rushed... Inconsistent. if this is typical for his books... I'd buy them at the used paperback store, not here, wouldn't read it again. Still, it was a good read in the simple reading category.

Amazing. One of Nicholas Sparks best books. Truly captured by not only the love between a man and a woman but by the love and dedication a mother has for her son.

Page turner!. A little bit different situation than most of his books, but a welcomed change. A true love story and nothing less. Really wonderful book.

Great Read. I was skeptical about reading this book because multiple reviews said that it was boring. This book is NOT boring. I thoroughly enjoyed every character (my favorite being Kyle). After reading, you will feel as if you are so close to the characters that you know them in your real life. You will go through a roller-coaster of emotions. I love a happy ending. Definitely worth reading.

Bad from the start..... I decided on this book after reading all of the reviews. I buy about 2 books a week on my IPad and I can honestly say I have never read a book as BORING as this one! It never held my interest and def. not a page turner. I did finish this book but was mad at myself for doing so because I can't get that wasted time back! Usually LOVE his books, however, this one was a HUGE waste of time n money!

Best book I've ever read. Nicholas sparks is my favorite author and i've read almost all of his books, but the rescue was honestly the best one. It is defiantly a page turner and I read the whole thing in 2 days. It's great so if your going to get a Nicholas Sparks book get this one!
