Totally a Fun Read. Don't take this one too seriously or you'll get caught up in thinking that the plot and subplots are too over the top to be believable. And they are, but that's what makes this such a delightful book -- rather like a James Bond story with lots of intrigue, mystery and crazy romance thrown in. On the serious side, for anyone who loves aviation as I do, the details about the legendary Pan Am clipper is factual and a real treat.

Not Follett’s best work. I scanned large parts, just to find out what happened. I cherish Pillars Of The Earth and Eye of the Needle, but this book paled in comparison. That may not be fair to compare but whatever

Just a wonderful read.. I am a veteran fan of many Ken Follett books; and I must say how wonderfully put together this story is- my goodness a perfect movie, if they would make it. As usual, there are women any male reader would fall in love with, bright and resourceful guys and gals who overcome tremendous obstacles, and of course bad guys who get their comeuppance. But I think Ken Follett has a way of imbuing the reader with the sights, sounds, and even tastes of the historical tableau in a way that is riveting and immersive. Do read this book, especially if you are not ready for his longer works. Either way, it is tough to say goodbye to his characters he has brought to life in print, when all is told.

Bookie. Could not put this down. Thought I would be sorry to say goodbye to these characters but the author allowed us to say farewell easily. I am left wondering how their lives continued. Look forward to reading another book by this author. Thank you!

Good Follet read. Typical Follet style of historical fiction. Great story line with many sub stories. Not sure how I missed this when it first came out. If you like Follet you will enjoy.

Night over Water. Excellence is what you expect and excellence is certainly what you'll get. Ken Follett is at the top of his game.

Exciting!. Outstanding story line. Had to stay up late last night to see how it ends. One of Mr. Follett's more suspenseful stories. His characters are always so well developed and fun to become acquainted with - although it is disappointing when you reach the end of each book - lol.

Disappointing. The book starts off strong but the ending is so predictable. I’m disappointed because I have enjoyed other Ken Follett books.
