Not original version. Note: This is a later total revision of the original 1930 story. Nancy Drew changes a great deal over the 50 years that separates the versions, as does the plot of the story. So do know that this purchase is of the 1950s Nancy Drew, not the original, rather different and more forthright, girl detective.

The Hidden Staircase. What a great story!

Too predictable 😒. I mean, we all knew Mr Gomber would be more involved than the warning, and that Nancy’s dad would say,” Oh I’m fine” and really would be threatened, and that the ghost would do mysterious things. The only thing unexpected is when the ceiling fell. All the books are about the same: just solved this, moving on to that, oh no this, plot twist, let’s tell the police,found another clue,aha I did it, oh wait I didn’t,now i really did it, “Nancy you saved the day!”. Also, there were multiple typos, which made this 3 star book a 2 star book. Sorry if this review came off as rude but I’m just saying my opinion you don’t have to agree🙃
